It was unfortunate that the set had to end early, but there was a medical emergency with someone in the crowd. Hoping everthing is okay. If you watch the full set, you'll see police motorcycles and then a later an ambulance come through. Ryan and the band were checking with those around the situation about whether it was okay to continue and repeatedly got a thumbs up to do so, but once the ambulance came they made the decision to cut the set short.
the fan perished
Good guys.
This is how you handle a crowd emergency. Loved Guster before and even more now.
Love how they are always having a blast❤
It was really gracious of Guster to bring their music to Porchfest, and I enjoyed the experience even if i couldn't see or hear well. Glad to hear what it sounded like up close!
Sound system was not prepared for a big time professional band and a large crowd ha ha.
I was there half a block down but couldn’t see or hear. Very happy to see this here, thanks!
Yeah the audio system wasn't exactly the same as what they had for the "We Also Have Eras Tour" at MGM Music Hall at Fenway ha ha.
Yep I heard two notes max from very close
I love this so much. Thank you for sharing video with those who could not attend.
I think even most of those who did attend couldn’t see and/or hear it 😂
@@ConcertsHubexactly. To say I was sad doesn’t begin to cut it haha
@@ConcertsHubdrunk kids who didn’t know the band didn’t help 😂 the band should have just done a secret show and skipped the thousands of us hqha
@@katiemulrey8230 the singer from Mixtape Misfits has a comment on here with some detail about the speaker/audio situation. But agree, I was surprised they put it out there so far in advance as opposed to just that morning, which led to the Globe article and lots of other coverage and hype far in advance.
@@ConcertsHub exactly. They even had it on their website. Not sure what was expected if not thousands of us. But the idea that sounds of bands we can hear from streets away but not the famous band from our own hometown haha. I’ll get over it, I just love them!
13:36 Massive respect for crowd control, audience engagement, musicality. Wow!
Odd and tricky situation all around. I think they handled it the best they could and the crowd was great trying to clear room, and then dispersing at the end.
The boys sound as crisp as ever.
I was very close and it sounded great! Also we loved Mixtape Misfits! You guys were great!!
nobody really seemed to like mixtape in my opinion
hahaha no way Brian has a suitcase as a basedrum!!!! thats just amazing
I know, right?! I’ve been waiting for weeks for someone to point that out.

Great set! And great that we might have been next door neighbors without realizing it :) I was at 33 Aberdeen Road for YEARS :) Great neighborhood!
It's cool to hear a guy cover Dreams. I always thought it would be cool if Johnny Cash could have covered it.
