The Launch Of The BMW X5 (1999)

Ginny Buckley is at the Detroit Motor Show to get a first look at the new BMW X5, which is a new category of cars - Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV). She speaks to the designer of the X5 - Ulf Weidhese, as he describes the styling of the car and shows off some of it's features. The blend of luxury executive saloon and off-road vehicle comes packed with the kind of refinements, quality and performance that you'd expect from a BMW.

Bangle was the Chief designer, Frank (who is a Brilliant designer) was commissioned to work for BMW on the X5 project, all of the credit still belongs to Bangle as he oversees the design of the vehicle.

I own a 20 year old BMW X5 4.4i with Sport Package with over 210,000 miles on it. Great SAV! Nothing but the BEST from Greer S.C.

I’m surprised that’s suppose to be one of the worst bmw engines ever made. I had. 2007 with 4.4 v8 and it was the most unreliable money pit I’ve ever had. Transmission issues, engine issues, sunroof as well
