Remember back in D1 or early D2 where we had to go on a hunt for Cades stash. Remember when he said he had a stash they had different weapons or that part where we found Diffin playing cards that he said they had different meaning to different stashes, what if these weapons are from his stash?

if you remember at the end of the shadowkeep campaign, the witness talks to us in the guise of ourselves, but its using more expressive mannerisms than we ever seen it actually do. and to add on to that, it was always smiling.
the witness is constantly smiling behind its mask.

I think the witness has a final form that hasn't been shown to us, because I remember the cutscene between the witness and calus being to terrified to speak because of what the witness showed him.

They did say that this was their inspiration for Cayde in the final shape. He is supposed to be our Virgil.

The outdoor area at 4:44 by the lion rock looks like the throneworld but not in a broken down state. Specifically the north eastern parts of Quagmire.
All the blocks in the distance at 11:09 are like the shape of Nessus' surface.
The machinery they pass under at 11:30 is the speaker's lens device from the d1 tower.
The area with the armored ogre at 12:25 looks like it should contain the black heart, but is a version of the space without Vex influence.
At 17:09 Cayde becomes the player/warlock silhouette.
25:44 Quite possibly a Reshaped combination of Nezzie and Rhulk, Reshaped using the power of the "Taking" in the more refined and precise use of the power that Reshaped the Psions.
There seems to be some stitchwork on the legs, like the body was pieced together from several corpses Frankenstein style.
It was stated that Oryx's use of the power was essentially unrefined and without skill for detail in the lore.
Savathûn herself figured out how to use it with more refinement, skill for detail and, most of all, cunning.
We essentially use a portion of it in our use of Deepsight and are able to better refine it's use with the Relic for Weapon Cradting.
We Shape and Reshape our Crafted Weapons, we use Deepsight to extract fragments of Weapon Patterns. We then funnel those Patterns through the Relic using Deepsight to Shape and Reshape the weapons.
The Witness likely has numerous variations of the Relic among the Pyramid Ships, capable of Shaping & Reshaping copies of the Dread from other matter.
Similar to how we use particular materials along with Glimmer as the base Matter for Shaping a Weapon; It's likely that the Witness needs to do the same to shape a more uniquely powerful Minion.
The Tormentors, being a Shaped copy of Nezzie, are likely more easily made as Nezarec has the capacity to automatically revive regardless of the state of his former body.
Naturally, it wouldn't be difficult for The Witness to harvest parts off Nezarec's body/bodies to be used as the specialised materials for the Shaping of new Tormentors.
Rhulk would prove to be more difficult, though the Subjugator's could easily be the Reshaped corpses of his Race.
This Boss in particular appears to share qualities of both the real Rhulk himself and the Light infused version of Nezarec we fight in the Root of Nightmares.
Having a Glaive that's similar to Rhulks while holding it and himself in a manner similar to the Tormentors & Nezarec.
The tip of the Glaive looks like it's a broad head blade similar to Lubrae's Ruin, but without the signature Twisted Metal structure.
There's also an oddly Familiar Crossguard on the midshaft between the handle and blade that I can't place.
The boss itself is clearly using Resonance from it's ledt hand, but is covered in a form fit multi-elemental energy barrier of some sort. Which reminds me of the Light infused version of Nezarec.
I gather the true or original Nezarec looked more like the Tormentors, however the Light infused version of him gained a larger gut from being literally & figuratively swollen from his overconsumption of the Light blast the Traveller did.
Taking parts from both, or even all of his fallen Disciples to Reshape them into one wouldn't be out of the realms of possibility for the Witness to do.
Essentially the Witness would be making a singular Disciple that he could pick and choose the best traits with as few flaws as possible.
On that note, Savathûn's apparent appearance may only be a Reshaped Xivu combined with the Light Infused element from Nezarec. A sort of halfarsed Ghostless version of the Lucent Hive using similar means of sustaining life as the Wrathborne.
Xivu and her Brood becoming Wrathborn halfbaked Lightbearers themselves would be quite the fitting punishment for her failures.
Though it's not likely to be the case, it is something that would fit the Heresy episode. A crude form of defying Death itself, the uncontrollable use of the Light, seeking revenge rather than accepting the results....all of which are heresy to the Hive and their Sword Logic. Two of which Xivu has commited on a few occasions.

I dont get why people are crying about the video being 30 minutes long. This is a vod from him dissecting and simply talking the trailer. This isnt like Rick doing an hour long documentary on what xur brought for the weekend.

The inside of the traveller is really reminiscent of the fellowship of the ring. The memories of the tower, the grassland being the shire and we travel to the witnesses domain being mordor. His spire ultimately bring mount doom. Every scene so far has spawned these vibes for me.

The red and white heart gun is that auto that heals your teammates. These all look like Caydes stash types of guns. Basically, there will be an Ace for every suit of cards ♥️ ♣️ ♦️ Ace of Spades is already a gun.

The witness yelling “enough” at the end of the trailer is very much giving, we’ve been fighting him in the raid and he yells that then fucks us up.
Then the raid ends and we go into a mission accessible to everyone where we then defeat the witness
U kinda right at the 2nd part cause data mined leaks said that we ain’t gonna kill the witness in the raid and there is gonna be a 12 player mission after the raid where we killl him.

The hands thing comes from the revelation from Season of The Deep where we found out that The Witness is an entire civilisation merged together. The many hands represent everyone in that civilisation all reach for something. If I remember correctly in that cutscene there's a clip that shows loads of people all lying dead with their hands stretched outwards as well, which was the moment they became The Witness.

The upside down part immediately reminded me of the original Prey from 2006. It also had parts where you had to traverse rooms by walking on walls and ceilings. The mechanic was very well implemented and smooth to play. I wouldn't mind having smth like that in D2.
Heya Cross, i'm sure you know this but incase you didn't, it may help with these kind of breakdowns: On TH-cam you can go forward and backwards by 1 frame at a time with the , and . keys (with < and > above them to help ya remember that). Makes it much easier to catch exact moments you wanna see in fast paced trailers like this. Also I'm sure everyone knows the other hotkeys, k for play/pause, j goes back 10 seconds, l goes forward 10 seconds, left arrow back 5 seconds, right arrow forward 5 seconds, etc.

@Aztecross my guess is that Cayde is a physical manifestation of his consciousness that is contained within the veil. The link between the veil and the traveler allow his existence.

In the seasonal missions some of the lore is crow and mara talking, and mara asks crow what he wants, and he says he wishes he could apologise or something, the twist is that mara was actually riven in disguise.
I had assumed all of the hands was like sybolism of some kind. Like those are the nads of the Precursers (the witness) trying to reach out to grab their final shape or to show the desperation of them trying to obtain that final shape.

I think Cayde’s gonna be the new speaker, because he’s like a spirit walking around The Traveller, the reason I think this, is because Cayde is near-constantly getting shifted around and either they don’t appear or the screen distorts and is replaced by the guardian

20:19 could be the aphelion maybe? it’s been mentioned in the lore as a destructive monster but no one’s actually seen it in-game yet, one of the dreaming city lost sectors is even named after it
If you need to split into two team in a raid where one team on the ground and another on the ceiling then it would be the absolute mind blown moment. Like how you see the hand in Last Wish but this time the whole battlefield happen over your head. If Bungie is pushing it then each team can shoot upward to help the opposite side.

Im betting that we are getting class specific weapons, and they are going to have some nutty perks/weapon frames.
Especially when The first Time we heard of support ARs it was The same red AR as what The Titan holds and which has The Titan symbol.

You might be right, it's not like there isn't precedent for it. It could also be as simple as class shaders or class ornaments.
Special weapons should have always been class-exclusive: Hunters get snipers, Titans get shotguns, Warlocks get fusion rifles. Change my mind.
I'm betting on it now. Part of the Raid is going to include something similar to the OG Leviathan Raid where half the team has to go upside down. And we are all fighting in the same location, but some members on the ceiling. I'm calling it.

I think the gravity mechanic is gonna function like this: pause at 16:03 and notice the faint white line in the center of the screen. I think personally that when you jump past this marker it is going to rotate your perspective 180 degrees and gravity will also adjust accordingly.

I rarely comment but noticed a few points...
1) That garden in the beginning looks like the Black Garden - Where in Starcrossed mission we learned all about Riven and Tanaris etc etc
2) I bet that Wish Dragon is Tanaris (Riven's ex lover) - we also saw some hints regarding Riven in that area with Riven's tentacles
3) Seeing Savathun as an ally would be epic - also Savathun's wish with Riven was to open the portal to the Pale Hearth, so all this seems to be connected somehow, maybe having Tanaris back was Riven's request in exchange of the portal, or more.
4) The veiled woman could be The Traveler herself (there was an old cinematic about her, not sure if it was in D1)

@@Felspring maybe you're right, but as the old saying goes, the enemy of my enemy, is my friend. The question is, what would Savathun be after? After seeing a Wish Dragon and knowing that Savathun's wish with Riven was to open the portal, there I see some sense that the Wish Dragon could be Tanaris, which Riven (although kinda dead) might be interested in, and Savathun's own intentions ofc. Well, all this mystery, intrigues us all I guess. We just wait and see I guess :) :)

This trailer is genuinely very very good. I like that cayde's tone is more serious, like he matured during his time in the traveler.
The area where the prismatic energy is, reminds me of the room where you first meet the stranger (Elsie) in D1.
Also, I get the impression from this trailer that this world is potentially shaped by cayde, or perhaps from his memories. I also get the feeling that things are going to get worse before they get better and that might mean that we have to say goodbye to our favourite vanguard leader a second time, or maybe other characters.
Seriously though, bungie HAS to let us make a prismatic warlock build that let's us collect all of the little buddies. I want to go full Thanos/pokemon trainer when I finally collect them all and rain hell with my rainbow friends

I wonder if we're gonna get a whole set of weapons themed after cards, I would love that aesthetic. We have a sniper with a spade in the scope and what looks to be a auto rifle with a heart in the sight, be cool if they stick with the theme and we get a jack, queen, king and maybe a joker too for the whole arsenal from the vendor (thinking it's definitely ganna be cayde).
Hey cross, quick idea, imagine if in the raid at the witness boss fight, you need to get prismatic at some point when he unleashes a powerful attack otherwise it's a wipe(simplified: transcendence cancels final shape attack)
Maybe guardians are assimilated with the traveler, and ghosts are just carrying a guardians construct. So they aren't technically reviving you, but cloning you.
So when the ghost dies, the traveler is unable to resurrect them outside of itself. But can still "revive" you inside of it, even without a ghost?

The symbols on the guns are definitely Caydes arsenol. Remember in D1 when we were going after the stealth drive to get on the dreadnaught. We went into that hidden room and found a playing card. And Cayde said that's how he labelled his weapons using the symbols of the cards.

At 39 seconds (11:31 in Cross's video), that structure is from the device in the Speaker's chamber in the D1 tower. I used to stare at that thing for way too long wondering what it was.

I do believe that sidearm/handcannon has a black armory logo, because the other art had a similar look with a cayde scope, just in a brighter setting
