Glad you liked the hike. I live in Washington, I have with a group hiked along the the Olympic Peninsula. We were on the beach and needed to reach a certain point where we could leave the beach (after navigating around unscalable beachheads) before the tide came in.

I am glad that the youtube algorithm has brought your videos back to me. I got clued into you on your trip on the PCT when you were with Second Chance Hiker for a few days. Glad to see you are still active, and I miss the Pacific Northwest. I hail from Oregon but my husband has stolen me away to the EU

Our first backpacking trip ever was on the Olympic Peninsula (Ozette Triangle). It was a great intro to backpacking for kids!!

    Sweet hike. Amazing camera work.
I hiked from Ozette Lake to Oil City a few years ago.
A truly unique hiking experience, to say the least.
I do have one problem with this video.
    It's too short!
    Hope you're doing well.
Sending you some Casa love. ❤

Joe! Great to see your name pop up. I’m going to rewatch the Casa video in the series and reminisce a bit. Hope you guys are well, see you around 🤙🏼

Reminds me of my day hiking along the Juan de Fuca trail on Vancouver Island. I want to go back and do the West Coast and the Juan de Fuca.

Awesome! I hiked the FHT back in 2020. I'm a SC local, down near Charleston. The FHT is an amazing hike, for beginners and non. Hoping to get back out there soon.

Great video , but why do you call your wife or girlfriend " partner " ? Is she not your girlfriend or wife ?
There is nothing wrong with being gay , but I immediately thought you were and was going to stop watching .
I have nothing against the gay community , I just don't support it in anyway, especially now with all this transgender crap , children on hormone blockers and surgery stuff and all the other crazy crap .
But I'm glad I watched , it looks amazing !
Oh and she deserves more respect than just a casual acquaintance like partner.
    And Happy trails !

Thanks for the compliment Walt, glad you enjoyed. We must be from a different generation, which is no problem. I use partner and girlfriend interchangeably, but the term “partner” fits well because we are a team and partners in hiking and life as well. I think it’s important to respect different cultures and the language they use to describe their lives and relationships, regardless of whether they fit into your view of how things they should be. If the idea that I might have been gay was a dealbreaker for you, this may not be the channel for you. We respect everyone here and I can’t accept anyone speaking down about gay folks or anyone else. But if I can encourage you to get outside and connect with different types of people in the future, I’m glad you’re here.

@@travelingpanda5108 Thank you, , I wasn't talking down , or putting down the gay community , or anyone , even the transgender .
I was putting down the fact that you are not transgender , and yet use the word " Partner " .
If you are not gay or transgender , why do you " feel " the need to call her your partner ?
Is she not your wife or girlfriend.
      I'm old , and I just don't understand , but even if I was young , I still wouldn't understand .
And I can guarantee you millions of younger " Potential " viewers wouldn't ether.
I mean don't get me wrong if you're into little kids getting , sex hormones , and sexual surgeries , keep using the partner stuff .
If not , maybe you should consider how you speak.
Because that's exactly how people my age and the young persive it .
" They perceive it as " she is not your wife or girlfriend . She's just your sexual part .
And that's exactly what the gay community calls their sexual relations , that they are not , in love with or married too .
      It's an insult to her.
My "life partner " would be one thing but " M y partner " is another..
You don't even call her girlfriend , witch means potential of " life " or " love "
      Why ?
Is " She " just for sex or something?
Or do you " Love " her ?
Would you kill or die for her , in today's World ?
Or is she really just a partner ?
