How did it turn out, with the oil on your hands on the plastic? Did you have to redo it ever? Looks aight though, my advise would be, ..wear gloves and prep with a fine grit sandpaper after cleaning, clean again, and use a sealer or adhesion promoter, to allow whatever paint used, to properly adhere to the plastic,.. may not need to do the proper steps of a custom paint job, but just some food for thought!
Looks good but VHT nightshades is made for this. Personally I would never lower my light output from the rear, I added flashers with my brake lights. Not worth getting run over at a red light IMO.
Awesome video, Id like to try this on my taillight and headlights at some point. At the moment I'm running car window tint on my taillight it looks good from far and I can't go back to stock look cause im use to the darker colour but there are a few bubbles in because of the shape. The plastic dip seems like a much better option I'll have to try it😂 riding a 07 R1:)
That may look nice, which it does - the problem is if someone rear-ends you now and says they did not see your brake light you have a violation on that lens and it's their word against yours. Just sayin. Be safe. DOT has requirements for tint, hue and brightness, and that violates those requirements. Just trying to keep you safe.
+Karl The intention was not to make it any less visible. Effort was taken to keep it as light as possible. It can be taken off at any time and if it seems to be less effective I will remove it. Appreciate the concern.
How well does that plasti-dip stick? Does it actually stay on until you want it off, or does it start peeling off after a while? I have seen some posts of people that plasti-dip even the wheels?

+Karl It lasts very well, we did the wheels on a ST a while back and it's still perfect.
I was about to say something like that. It looks cool, but at any accident or pull over, it can bring you some trouble.
What kind of tint did u use I tryed the smoke plasti dip and it wasn't dark at all
