Can someone please explain to me why the lotus root balls made the second girl puke? I get if you eat too much of anything will make you vomit, but she just ate a few…? What am I missing?

Already been answered, I think she spit it out too. But it's kind of deceptive since the old lotus root balls still look appetizing to eat haha, and being forced to eat food that isn't hot and fresh adds some difficulty to the second girl's experience(besides her probably thinking they're poisoned LOL.) It's a traditionally steamed dish made of prawn/shrimp/lotus powder with a sauce poured on top. I figure it'd be ice cold and super soggy if it was from the night before🤢

But I still think it was too easy of a score settling Coz if yinglou wasn't smart she would have died last night ,Death = 1 bowl of rotten food, Not enough of a punishment.

The lotus root is hard to digest, so when you eat too much it will make your stomach bloated. It is widely believed by the people but she needs to redirect and act dumb so she has to eat a lot. To help relieve from bloating so she needs to throw up the extra foods after no more spying eyes.
