- The second part of Yvette Fielding and the team's Christmas investigation of the imposing and abandoned Gloucester Prison. An allegedly haunted location that was originally built as a county jail and for over two centuries housed murderers thieves and the violent of every kind, but HMP Gloucester wasn't just a jail for the convicted to serve their terms, it was also a place of execution over with over 120 convicts paying the ultimate price for their crimes here.

However, Fred summoning Satan and the spirit of Lucifer does not sit right. It totally changes the whole vibe of the show.

I had to cringe when he did a similar thing in another episode I also watched today in which he's saying a spell to "open the gates of Hell" and inviting Satan in! 😬 That's even worse to me than using a Ouija board, which also can invite evil spirits into this dimension. But I'm not surprised anymore after finding this info: "Fred Batt is a former businessman, nightclub owner, singer, actor and self-styled historian and *demonologist* known for his regular appearances on the British paranormal reality television series 'Most Haunted'. Fred Batt states that *his interest in the occult* began as a teenager."

1:04:45 when Yvette says something moved over a red light - there is a large orb that moves slowly across the screen from left to right.
Watching this alone, I genuinely had to pause this about every 45 seconds during Karl’s time in the hospital wing, just out of genuine terror. Spectacular! 👻

What's weird is that when I visited, I felt the safest in both the hospital wing and the main office splitting A and B wings and that's where I decided to sleep haha.

Hi guys, I was so looking forward to this Part II. At 11:16 you have captured a full apparition next to the the pole in the background, possibly more if you look closely at it. 27:17 loud bangs, from 27:39, the whimpering is quite clear! Karl's capture with the coughing, was loud but then I had a thought, WHAT IF THAT IS THE SOUND PEOPLE MAKE WHILE THEY'RE BEING HANGED, A SCREECHING, CHOKING SOUND! How chilling! Personally, I find Fred a bit disrespectful, they've paid their dues. You are playing on their ground after all! No ouija boards, it's a BAD idea! Oh wow, in part one I picked up a female voice saying, 'why' Thanks guys, that was an amazing explore! xxx
Yes! I got the "why" in the infirmary too! (in part 1, with Karl & Yvette)
It made me very uncomfortable how they are summoning Lucifer and other evil spirits. I know that they want a reaction but that was an overkill.
Just after 43:21 where Karl says “do you need help?” when he hears the coughing noise from down the hospital wing corridor it honestly sounds like someone replies and the last part of their sentence is “I do. Give me a minute.” Albeit a breathless, quiet and hoarse sounding voice. Turn your volume right up and you might be able to hear it too.

I know the popular opinion in the comments seems to be anti-Fred but I think he adds a lot to the team. Looking at episodes especially ones for TV when he first joined after his own property was investigated the team did lots of viduals with Fred’s equipment and even now when Fred is calling out I feel like he can change the whole energy of the investigation in a good way. Maybe it’s a cultural thing about how the show translates to the USA compared to the UK (where I’m from) but I think Fred’s class. Have a good new year guys and thanks to the Most Haunted team for keeping us entertained through this grim time xx 🥳

Well done MH team! You are all very brave! But please, I really do not want Satan walking into my room so I have to turn my volume to silent every time Fred is on!!! I also find that during this vigil Greg seemed to speak or laugh every time when he should have been quite awaiting further paranormal sounds…his timing seemed to be rough. The team has done sooooo many investigations that I wld think that when in an echo-y place such as this that they wld have a nominated speaker and some system that doesn’t require everyone talking at once which makes it hard for viewers to hear paranormal noises or even for yourselves too. The voice recording sent chills through me and the hospital wing sounds were awesome if not we’ll scary. Snooker loopy time was fascinating and probs whoever spent their last night there just wanted to leave and not to relive it over and over. Currently watching a documentary called “Ghosts on the Underground”, and the first thing I thought was ‘how amazing would it be if the MH team were able to do a couple of special investigations?!’ 🙂

I am so happy I found this show again! I used to watch it a lot as a teen on Discovery Channel along with Ghost Adventures. I like the realness this show has where as GA is more theatrical in my opinion. However, I think it would benefit the Most Haunted team to set up static cameras similar to GA to help catch certain things, at least increase their chances to catch activity. I can't remember if they did do that back in the day, it's been many years since I've seen the show. Anyway, happy I found it again!

I know this episode is old but it’s a good one. I had my headphones on when Karl was in the infirmary. At 44:46 he thought it was coughing he was hearing, but if you have headphones on you can definitely hear the voice growling Go…Back…Now!

There’s a fine between encouraging the spirits to do something and being disrespectful & aggressive. Fred you need to keep yourself in check. As a demonologist and man of faith the first thing you learn is “Don’t mess with the dark side” and repeating the same latin words doesn’t show you to be more educated or professional.

you can meet them spirits face to face on magic mushrooms nevermind a latin bible and an ouija board. The spirits look like little triangular patterns and they speak in high pitched voices
He can only repeat certain Latin words as that is all he knows. You cannot be a man of faith and decide to call on satan half an hour after asking for santification of the Holy Spirit. He's just a very odd man.

Gloucester prison was part of Gloucester castle where the famous Humpty Dumpty siege cannon was knocked off the castle wall during the siege of Gloucester. The prison is surrounded by double walls. between these walls is where the prisoners who were hanged and died were buried so that their souls could not escape even in death. How I do know this? I have lived in Gloucestershire for over 30 years! the plan was to redevelop this prison site for a new hotel. Not a good idea methinks. Too many dead spirits from the Civil war and the jail for my liking.
