  • BMW says the R 1300 GS is all new, but is it relly that different from the 1250 GS that we have come to love over the years? In this video, I'll highlight all the differences between the ULTIMATE BMW GS Models - the newly launched #R1300GS and the outgoing yet equally potent #R1250GS. This video of the #R1300GSvsR1250GS will help you decide which one to settle for if you are in the market and whether you should upgrade to the R 1300 GS if you already have the 1250!

    This is the best 1300 gs video after the India launch, goes to show that all you need for a good video is someone who knows what to say and an acceptable camera

    Comparison should be between the japanese giant "honda Africa Twin" & german beast " BMW R1300GS"

    That sport's dash menu is there on the 1250 as well, it's just not activated. But using a CANBUS tool like the GS911, you actually can bring it up, if you so desire. More gimmicky for an ADV bike, if you ask me.
    Really thorough comparison, though. I really liked it, even living like 8000 kms from India 😄

      Thank you so much for your kind words! BTW that was news to me. I do know someone with the GS911. Let me check it out.

    I would prefer 1250 instead of 1300 it looks big and has that signature style

    As a 1250 owner, I hate to not like the 1300. The upgrades just don’t make sense for the variants in India and the 1250 just makes even more sense now. It looks like BMW has a fragile and weak heir in line to the throne replacing the almost perfect 1250.
    Not to forget the awful headlights though.

    How to get the low height configuration and low seat configuration 800mm... Since you have more information regarding bikes.. By the way nice video😊😊😊

    • @rohit_paradkar
      @rohit_paradkar  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you. So you can opt for a low seat with any of the bikes at an additional cost. Unfortunately the adjustable seat height like the 1250 is gone.

    The Shaft had to be replaced at 60k kms for 1250? Didn't know that, how much does that cost? Was looking to buy a used one

    • @elvesbane
      @elvesbane 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It's a free replacement, AFAIK. Every 60k KM, for the life of the bike. We'll probably have to pay for labor, though. 🤷🏻‍♂️

    • @rohit_paradkar
      @rohit_paradkar  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      BMW will replace the shaft for free at 60,000kms if the bike is an agreeable shape. Labour cost included.

      @@rohit_paradkar “agreeable shape”. Do you mean to say it won’t last that much. Concerning would be buyer here

    The old asymmetrical headlight looked much better and distinct.

    • @abctanmay
      @abctanmay 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      True that. But new looks good in its own way. We have to remember that it's a generational update starting from 1200( {I guess as I started following this bike from then} many cosmetics and an engine update in between) to 1300. And as we have seen with BMW motorrad (S1000RR) at least for now they love symmetry.

    BMW nicely screwed the 1300. 1250 needed some improvements but 1300 require lot of improvements. For ADV bike they gave plastic indicator and that too on handle bar. Stand assist really r they expecting that some weak person is going to ride such huge bike if so than imagine if this bike fall whose help he need to raise bike again. So many flaws really it is not a legacy of 1250

    • @rohit_paradkar
      @rohit_paradkar  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Well, the bike drop thing I’m not too worried about. It’s a boxer engine, so the bike USUALLY doesn’t drop flat on the ground, so lifting it up is relatively easier. The main stand assist is good even for a well-built guy, because it needs less effort when you have all your luggage mounted.
