I voted first day of early voting with my sister here in Tennessee. I wore a shirt that I bought that read "The Power of She" in gold writing. When I went to turn in my ballot, the elderly man sitting with the machine accepting ballots who was also giving "I Voted" stickers said "I like your shirt. I'm all about girl power" and smiled at me. I said "Me too" and gave him a thumbs up and a big smile back 😊💙🙏🏾
I convinced two female GenZ's to consider voting. Both were adamant they were not. I told them I voted to ensure reproductive freedom, and they should have the right to (rights I took for granted) decide when/if to have a child. It didn't appear they had thought about it. I think for them it was someone else's problem. Thinking about the issue is the first step. The moral is - talk to someone about the importance of voting. Step out of your comfort zone, you may make a difference.

I’m in Minnesota but grew up in Wisconsin.. I’ve been trying to get as many of my friends and family in Wisconsin to go vote early. My sister and her partner had no idea they could vote early and the place they needed to go to early vote was across the street. I woke up to a text today that they voted! Here in PA, the enthusiasm for Harris appears higher than even Obama. meanwhile, the enthusiasm for Trump is significantly less than it was previously. We can't discount those registered as Independent. My husband and I were Republicans, until it became the Trumpican Fascist Party. I voted first day of early voting with my sister here in Tennessee. I wore a shirt that I bought that read "The Power of She" in gold writing. When I went to turn in my ballot, the elderly man sitting with the machine accepting ballots who was also giving "I Voted" stickers said "I like your shirt. I'm all about girl power" and smiled at me. I said "Me too" and gave him a thumbs up and a big smile back 😊💙🙏🏾

I convinced two female GenZ's to consider voting. Both were adamant they were not. I told them I voted to ensure reproductive freedom, and they should have the right to (rights I took for granted) decide when/if to have a child. It didn't appear they had thought about it. I think for them it was someone else's problem. Thinking about the issue is the first step. The moral is - talk to someone about the importance of voting. Step out of your comfort zone, you may make a difference.

I’m in Minnesota but grew up in Wisconsin.. I’ve been trying to get as many of my friends and family in Wisconsin to go vote early. My sister and her partner had no idea they could vote early and the place they needed to go to early vote was across the street. I woke up to a text today that they voted! Here in PA, the enthusiasm for Harris appears higher than even Obama. meanwhile, the enthusiasm for Trump is significantly less than it was previously. Of course there are MAGA Cultists, but there are fewer of those on display, (way fewer pick up trucks with trump flags and opponent effigies with hangman's nooses waving in the breezes 🙄like there were in 2020). We can't discount those registered as Independent. My husband and I were Republicans, until it became the Trumpican Fascist Party. Sadly, to my eternal regret, we voted for him in 2016 (even though I've never liked him, even back in the 1980s). But his bungling of the COVID situation and his stupidity and vileness turned us both off the Republican Party. We are not aligned with all of the Democrat Party's policies, either, so we switched our affiliation to "Independent," but we voted for Biden in 2020 and will vote Blue all the way down the line in 2024!
