matthew stephens Awesome, glad I could help. They are inconspicuous and an easy install! I really highly advise getting a pair of used Road King shock (air shocks). Changes the ride dramatically, so comfy👌🏻👌🏻
There should not be any need for any "extra" spacers. I think someone must have removed the stock spacers from your bike. Thus why u needed to add them. Nice bike. :-)
Anxiety Fpv I didn’t find that it changes anything in my opinion. But I was mainly riding solo... I’m also around 180lbs. I just made sure I had my wires tucked out of the way (the ones under fender). Also that there were no bolts (seat fastener bolt, I added spacers)that could hit the tire if rubbing would occur. Others recommend putting one shock on to test for worse case scenario.. My biggest encouragement would be to find a pair of RK (road king) air shocks (mine were used). Like riding on a cloud👌👌
@@MudderPutter Thanks for getting back with me, very nice scooter, Reason I ask the question is I am having my bike lowered and going to run a 19 on the front, instead of running my 21 inch wheel to bring the front end down so it will match the rear. year bike is really sharp looking. Thanks again
Robert Neese Any time., and you’ll get a little better stopping power👌. Good luck on the lowering..., definitely a fun bike to customize! Be blessed Lance
+Amyloveslance, i put a slammer kit on my 07 sporty and had it down to 2 inches but it rubbed on my cpu bracket and made a new channel in my tire. So its sitting on the 1 inch lower hole now and seems to be ok.
@@junixsk8 You’re too kind! Thanks so much DDias, usually the only time I don’t respond is if TH-cam looses a comment or thinks it’s spam. I definitely miss aspects of a bike, but having a young family I just wasn’t getting out. Now it’s tiny trucking and jeeping;) Just FYI…, I don’t regret going from a bike to a topless, doorless jeep. You get 90% of the same free feeling of being on a bike, but with no helmet and way better visibility (for yourself and other motorists seeing you). More relaxing not having to be as careful when on the road. But I miss the sound of a bike and the feel of 2 wheels on the road. Be blessed Lance
Yo ~ that is one beautiful two tone Sport. I just bought an '09 1200 custom. I just love these bikes ~
Lucky!!! Ya.., such a fun and beauty bike; love the styling and amount of mods👌
Very helpful. For some reason I thought those kits went on the top of the shock. Now I'll probably get some.

Been thinking about getting a lowering kit. Good info about if the shock hitting the lowering bracket.
I WOULDN'T MIND HAVING A BIKE LIKE THIS I WOULDN'T DO ANYTHING TO IT BUT REPLACE THE SEAT
well i tell ya i aint paying 400.00 for damn shocks so im gonna go for the brackets myself.

Do you know if those are the original handlebars or aftermarket? I love the height but mini-ape are a a little too high for me.
did u add spaces on the top of the shocks to keep the shocks aligned?how does it ride? I just bought that kit
Any issues with the tire rubbing the wires under the fender?
Did the kit make ur ride any rougher or stayed the same??

I weight about the same and also ride solo. Consider that kits installed. Thanks bro

clean
@ 0:29 I think that Jeep has a broken tie rod.
Thanks Dave…, probably not the only thing broke;). It’s been gone for a while now.
Cheers
😂😂😂😂 well where else would a passenger ride! Clean bike man
What size front wheel are you running.
Robert Neese It’s the 21” .., stock Sportster Custom Wheel. Later I put whites walls on it and black slips over the spokes👌

Whats the ride like now that its lowered compared to stock?

BUY LOWING YOUR BIKE YOUR MESSING UP YOUR RIDE
you installed wrong ..that is why
new harley and its a sportster... once he rides it for a season he will get a real bike!! bagger or fat boy is my guess
chimney man ...... why would he do that? who wants to go slower
chimney man - A real bike, you're a brainwashed ass hat who is very concerned what other think about you...When are you going to be a REAL MAN?
News now america I agreed they are backwards.....
News now america It should be long side out....So flip the 1 ur showing to the other side, longer side out NOT in.
For how long did you use those? How's the durability on them?
Had them the whole time I had the bike…, they were thick steel pieces; they are not going to wear out👌
@@MudderPutter thank you very much for replying. I know it's an old video, but that says volume about its quality and your channel's

@@MudderPutter I've never had a jeep, but I've played a lot with the tiny trucks lol. That was one of my best hobbies ever. Cheers
