- Overnight hot tent camping in freezing temps with a portable titanium wood stove. This was my first hot tent camp of the season! I camped in the Pomoly Stovehut 70 and used a Pomoly T-Brick stove to cook and for warmth. The first day was windy and cold but overnight winds calmed and day 2 was perfect. Also I left out the part where my camera wouldn’t charge because my battery bank died.. After dinner I hiked a mile back to the truck to charge everything. Thinking about it that’s probably when the spider got me lol

The return of the hot tent! I’ve dealt with gunshots in the woods when camping before. It’s not ideal, but not a major nuisance. I imagine if it’s anything like up here the hunters at least have to stop at dark. Merry Christmas to the Lafitte clan!

@@laffitteoutdoors - I hope now that Pomoly has version 3 of the Stove Hut 70, that they finally got it right. I've got the real version ll that leaks like crazy. The official version 2.0 is number 4 if you ask me. Version 3.0 is actually at least the fifth version but I could be mistaken.

Fer the feller with a broken budget like myself,could ya anser the age old question of the egg or the chicken? Witch comes first?The hot tent?Or the stove?I have 5 "kids"3 grand kids,anda wife and I can only git so mutch at a time....lol.
I hear ya man this stuff gets expensive lol we bought the stove first because it’s so much more expensive than the tents are. Before we got a tent I cut a stove jack in one of my tarps and we’d do hot tarp camping lol. Maybe check out @lonewolf902. He does really good reviews and shows which stoves will fit in each tent. Oh and sometimes we like to use a buddy heater instead. Propane instead of wood is nice sometimes when the whole whole family is out lol. Less work :)

I’m looking into purchasing this tent. How have you liked it’s design? It’s cheaper than their other models so I figured it’d be a good first tent to get into winter camping.
Ethan I love this tent but there were some production issues with this model (water intrusion issues) since last year they’ve come out with a new model that should be water tight. It’s a very versatile tent and like you said great for the price. I would recommend getting the poles that come with the tent instead of trekking poles. You used to have to order them separately. I’m not sure if that’s still the case.

🤘Coldest game in panther history and we were there lol. We were dressed in ski gear for the game, but man that was fun! We’ll see what happens but what do you think about Wilkes?? Crazy season…
