I think my favorite thing about this is that not only does it refer to the version Scott made way back when, but it also pulls up poses and scenes from the even _older_ version that Scott based his off. Most notably, the princess peach pose at the end wasn't in Scott's version, but was in the older version. Also, the fact that they're people in costume is (possibly unintentionally, but you never really know) a direct callback to that original original animation too.

I know the Unregistered HyperCam 2. Those were the old TH-cam times back in the 2000s. Unregistered Hypercam 2 is the nostalgia-based Internet culture and it's becoming popular for representing the old TH-cam. Many people were using the cam screen recorder to record the screen. After the screen was recorded, the watermark was shown on the top left due to it being free. No paying. When I see videos in 2000s on TH-cam, they've used Hypercam 2 to record on-screen. People will know the name of the cam screen recorder.

This ABSOLUTELY put a smile on my face. I've always loved the original version of this, and this just completely made my day, especially since I'm doing a family halloween costume with my husband and son (and my son's best friend) for Super Mario. (Husband is Bowser, son is Luigi, kiddo's best friend is Mario (kiddo and his friend are both 5), and I'm Peach. This literally just put a fire in my soul once more for something like this. Thank you so much.

(I was around 8 or 9 when i found it) when i found out you made the original i few months ago I was really surprised because i had nearly completly forgot about it until looking it up a year ago. (around the time I also started watching this channel coincidentally) seeing my childhood remade like this by the original creator is so good great job man
