Original was 1966 or 1967. This was THE era for extremely competitive, accomplished, and gifted musicians . . . dozens of them! It was beyond amazing, and a time that will never be duplicated or equaled.
The music of the 60’s and 70’s incorporated a lot of jazz chords which gave it it a special quality whether rock or pop style . This is a great example !
There is an old cowboy saying and it goes something like this..." If you live your life right the first time, you can sit back a second time and enjoy it all over." That's exactly what I am doing. Thanks, Buckinghams!!!
It'd be interesting to know whether they tour with the horn section, or whether they just have the sheet music and hire different players at each stop. Although - do oldies bands like this actually tour town to town any more? Or do they fly or bus in to each county fair and casino individually?
The drummer, Tommy Scheckel, is killing it! I've watched other videos with different drummers backing The Buckinghams. They're fine, but Tommy is in the driver's seat! He's the man! :-)
Totally agree. I saw another live clip from a few years ago and the drummer sounded heavy with the drums more booming. Here they sound crisp like the recordings. The band sounds tight and relaxed. Just a purring machine.
Gotta agree Victoria Garborino. I just listened to Dennis first, then this video. Much different sound. In my opinion, not even close. Dennis is still out there singing, and has still got it. ;)
@@nightowl4137 100%. Not even close. This sounds like a bad lounge version of the original. Here's Dennis belting it out in 2013. Just sounds more... soulful... th-cam.com/video/8YHo1vph6NM/w-d-xo.html
Having seen several comments that either denigrate Carl Giammarese, who sings lead in this assemblage of The Buckinghams, or dwell on his not being on par with Dennis Tufano, I would encourage those folks to take 20 minutes and watch this interview with Carl: th-cam.com/video/d442cynwTGs/w-d-xo.html The man is honest, self-deprecating and very likable. Those attributes alone should be sufficient for the naysayers to "cut him a break." He's an original member of the group, contributed to vocals on their music, played lead guitar and was integral in their success. Why mitigate that with unkind comparisons?
Song defines the difference between Man and Woman. Men are loyal like dogs, and Women are fickle like cats - "Maybe I'll love you - but, maybe I'm just out for a good time - See ya!"
@@thomassantillosr3132 - He did indeed. Odd that so many have remarked on his talents vs. Dennis Tufano, both of them being original members, and while he (Carl) may not have been THE lead singer, he did contribute vocals on all tracks.
yes Dennis tufano is the original lead singer of the Buckinghams. the Buckinghams that tour now has carl as the lead singer. carl and nick are the only two that are originals in the currunt format of the band.
Carl is a heck of a nice guy and fine guitarist, but not the best lead singer. Better for this new Buckinghams would be a younger singer with a golden voice, with Carl moving back to lead guitar duties and backround vocals. But, aside from that, this is still a nice version here.

My favorite part of this classic: "Hmmmmmmm my my my my baby"!!😍 The 60's ROCK!!
This is sooooo much BETTER than modern 'music'...

The Drummer Is Bitin' 'Em Off Crisp & Clean!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is so relaxed. From the vocal phrasing and the instruments. Less professionals would rush it but this breathes. Fantastic!
One of those songs you can listen to over and over, arrangement so good, I love the way the keyboard floats through the song
She will always care his number one fan ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Such great music!!!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
What I love about the old Buckingham's song are the horn section & strings.👍🤗

yes, Drummer kicks ass
I agree! He’s brilliant!

The Buckinghams from Chicago and I saw them in person when they were getting started getting hits like this.
The whole band is tight!!💯💯💝💝💝💝💝💝💝
Still miss the tones of Dennis Tufano -- he made the songs come alive!
I thought that was him?
@@lauraswihart8018 No it's Carl Giammarese
@@garyvandecar2580 Yes and Tufanos blows this guy away!
Yes he does great voice ❤
This sound has a special place in my heart. Thank you
Mine too.
Me gusta mucho Esta canción.
The Buckinghams had the perfect chemistry!
Love this 1! Pete
Loveeeee this song, and those horns sound sooooo good. LOVE MY OLDIES ❤️👍
Great memories. Best times of my life. Love them
One concert I wish i was at !! I would have fought tooth and nail to get autographs from all these legends!!!
Love the music. Makes me think of the drive in on weekends.
I love this 60s song !
Wow!! This beautiful song has more than half a century!
What a refreshing sound and it will be forever authentic sound of pop music!
Great group great songs cool even today sounds good
Awesome.....so good to hear oldies by the original members and sounding like they stepped out of a time machine! Great upload.......Cheers!
Are these the actual original members????
@Mark Ehrlich Denny Tufano was much better in my opinion. Carl is good but not even close to Denny.

lead singer missing. This guy is an original and probably better.
I've always enjoyed this groups' use of MAJ7 and MI7 chords. Big, full sounds.
Very beautiful song good band
This sounds like they just released it! Just incredibly good!
FANTASTIC!!!
Like Jim Neighbors used to say, "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" 😊
Better than ever!
Another great group from my childhood.
Love this song don’t you care ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Simple the best! Los escuché cuando tenía a penas 5 añitos. Debo decir que lloré cuando ví el vídeo.
Me encanta el estilo de Dennis Tufano. Excelente baterista
Can you ask for any better proof that great music is timeless? I think not.
I missed the lead singer Denny Tufano! The band is still great but they would be greater with Denny!
Yes, Dennis was the voice of The Buckinghams.
Chicago group
Carl Giammatti on vocals 🎙️... Dennis Tufano originally sang all the hits 🎯 ...
What a voice. The lounge lizard stuff, though …
They don't make em like this anymore.
Thank u for posting awesome! Do u have more of this u could post?
Hey! Denny Tufano has my birthday! Sept. 11! We have a lot in common! Well, except for that talent thing.
No Dennis, no Buckinghams.
nice job Bob Abrams on guitar !
you can't hear him in the mix
He stsill sings good thr voice iss there
there are 2 original members - Carl and Nick.
Like Dennis💕
Fabulous
They're not the Buckinghams without the lead singer. This guy couldn't hold a candle to Dennis on his best day.
I know that place where the video was made Star Plaza Theater in Merrillville Indiana
Drummer is better than the record..., too bad they don't have him permanently in the band
Simply sad without Tufano.

Where’s the original lead singer?
What year is this from please?
1967 originally

OMG; now I'm Really depressed......
I would be too if I had hate in my heart like you do!
The lead singer looks to young to have been a member of a 1960s group.
But he wears the same dress for success outfits I wore 1965-85.
No Carl Giamarese is an original member but he is not the original lead
Singer that would be Dennis Tufano.
@@harryseibert457 carl is the lead guitar in the original band. Sang this song pretty darn good

Not exactly the same Buckinghams without Dennis Tufano singing the lead, imo.

Quite different from the original but in fairness it suonds like..
I CARE !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not the original lead singer.....not a bad job tho
Not like that anymore
Ack. Wish I didn't click on this. Sounds like a lounge version of the original.
Bearded Jagger I agree. I couldn’t listen to it.
I hate impostors
He does not sound like the original singer.
Buffy smith He’s not the original singer, bummer Huh!
No he does not!
Dennis Tufano is much better then this lead singer ..not close!
Backing track is great, lead singer a little weak.
I could sing that song better than him
