Dimash can go higher than that whistle note- I believe that was G7, & he has recorded at least to D8. Many people can do whistles, not many so high- but most can’t do it with any control up there… I don’t really care in one sense about his extremes, his mid range alone & the artist that he is still makes him the best in the world for me. However- his D8 sounded like a dolphin note AND he still managed to put VIBRATO ON IT! 🤯🤯🤯 I highly doubt there’s anyone else you’re gonna find who can put vibrato on a note like that.

I always think of his whistles notes as party tricks, in a way. I don't mean that in a bad way at all--they are the sort of thing that make you drop your jaw in amazement--but as far as I know, he can't get all of the way up to them step by step in a scale the way he can the rest of his range. So they are fun and a bit of a wow factor--but to me, his best range is his mid-range--it is warm and rich, and silky-smooth, when he wants to sing it that way. Or not, if he chooses to go in another direction. I think that is a lot of the magnificence of Dimash's singing--over and above his range--the many purposely selected tone qualities he can produce, in any part of his register, and the speed with which he can change from one to another seamlessly. And then there's all of the other things that Dimash can bring to the table--his stage presence, his connection with his fans, his dedication to his craft, his charisma, his generosity, his respect for family and culture, his humility--I honestly don't think he has any "holes".

Yessss … you picked the most appropriate words - he was freer, in this one (Bastau) it was like breathing for him, no effort whatsoever during the entire performance. You’re doing great … you’re clearly one of his “dears” (it is how King Dimash calls his fans). You say he is a human being … well … the immense majority of those who heard him for the first time, said “he’s not human” or “he’s an alien” - I say “he is not one of us … … but he IS one of us”. A little background (in case you haven’t done any research yet) - Dimash is from Kazakhstan, he plays 8 instruments, sings in 12 languages, his vocal range covers almost 7 octaves, he is the best vocalist on the planet (and beyond) and he is the most humble and modest guy I’ve ever seen. Both great versions ! But this version with the amazing descending whistle note run was fabulous ! But whistle notes are easy for Dimash because he is always prepared , he's the ultimate professional and nothing is left to chance ! He is never nervous and always always puts on a masterful performance ! Dimash can go higher but only animals can hear it ! Sinful Passion will be a great treat for Dimash to surprise you even more ! I also love to listen to Dimash's music, however i don't believe he could go too much higher as every person has their limits. Even if I trained continuously i still wouldnt be able to reach a D8. I abolutely think is is amazing and able to go higher and lower but maybe not by much.

Then "Daybreak" concert by Bastau 2017. Followed, "Autumn Strong" from Singer's version 2017, Then for the moment in that sequence "Love is like a Dream". Hi, the previous Dive Dance was a competition in I AM A SINGER. This is it's own SOLO CONCERT in Bastau. The stage is his home. He lives for the stage. He steped on the stage at 2 years old after his parents' performed to take the applause 🤣 he hasn't stopped since 🤣

He has performed in 13 languages including Kazakh, Russian, Mandarin, English, French, Italian, Ukrainian, Turkish, Serbian, Kyrgyz, German, Spanish and Japanese. Here’s some background information about the song. “Drunken Concubine” is based on a story which happened in Tang Dynasty, China, around 745-755 AD. The emperor’s favourite concubine had prepared a banquet for the emperor. But the Emperor failed to attend it and instead went to see one of his other beautiful concubines. The concubine was upset and decided to have the banquet alone. She became drunk on the wine and began to sing of her jealousy, bitterness and her intention to forget all her unhappiness. Li Yugang is singing the part of the concubine while Dimash is taking the role of the emperor. In the second half of the song, Li is singing a series of notes in a high-pitched voice to approximate the sound of the Erhu which is is a two-stringed bowed musical instrument. Li is a Chinese singer and a performer in the China National Opera & Dance Drama Theater and a member of the National Youth Federation. He specialises in "nándàn" (男旦) roles, which is a male actor who plays a female role in Peking opera. In 2009, he was invited to join the "National Performing and Dancing Company" and became China's First Class Artist (National Treasure). Together, Dimash and Li have created an absolute masterpiece.

I absolutely agree with what you're saying and I personally believe that he was more relaxed and freer in this version because this was his own concert. The first one you listen to he was in the midst of a competition and that creates a whole different mindset and set of nerves and apprehension.

Dimash, singing with Li Yugang, is fantastic. Li, if I remember correctly, is a premier opera singer in China. I believe he normally sings the female parts of the opera. I wonder why? The original Italian soprano who sang this for the film had more staccato in the descending run than Dimash, but few have ever mastered this sharp contrasting notes. I have seen one woman duplicate it, it requires such fast vocal switching. You look great smiling at this, your hair is so luxurious, I am surprised you don't display it more boldly. The whistle note you heard from Dimash is NOT his highest note. In his "Unforgettable Day - Gakku," he hits a D8 for like 5 seconds, WITH VIBRATO, which is higher than the piano!

Great reaction!! Bastau's version is better from a technical point of view, the staccatos are more precise, the lower notes have more support, and, of course, that gorgeous descendant run. The next reaction, I fully agree, Sinful Passion, but if you want whistle notes, Unforgettable Day in the Gakku version (only this version).

Nö, Dimash kann noch höher😁... aber du hast völlig recht. In der ersten Version war Dimash in einem Wettbewerb als jüngster Teilnehmer von versierten, ausgezeichneten, landesweit bekannten Sängern und Wettbewerbsteilnehmern umgeben, die er nicht verstand. (Übrigens war diese Version 1 Ton tiefer als das Original) Die 2. Version gibt er in seinem ersten eigenen Konzert in seiner Heimat nach dem Wettbewerb in China. Der Druck war nicht mehr so hoch und er singt nur 1/2 Ton tiefer als das Original (Der Sound war auch etwas besser). Er hätte keine Schwierigkeit höher zu singen, wärmt er seine Stimme doch ganz gerne mal mit der Arie der Königin der Nacht aus der Zauberflöte auf und die tobt auf dem F6 herum. 😊

Of course Singer was tremendous pressure! Millions of viewers. He also sang a very demanding song in a much lower scale and very strong belting directly before that. So it makes perfect sense

Glad you’ve seen the three versions! Yilang is pretty cool with his style too. Given your fondness for Fifth Element, you must have been rejoicing. Dimash did use a whistle note this go around, but not the highest he has ever gone. Every one will have their own preference as to their favourite version - there is no one best version, each one is different. Looking forward to your reaction to Sinful Passion - if you react to the version with A-Studio, you’ll witness an audience member who figures prominently in future performances: Maestro Igor Krutoy has gone on to compose and collaborate often with Dimash. The first performance was a competition where he was being judged, the second performance was his concert where he was free to do as he pleased. "Drunken Concubine" is one of the masterpieces by Mei Lan-Fang, and is set in the Tang Dynasty (618-907). It is mostly a one-person show and tells a story of the emperor's beloved concubine Yang Yuhuan, also known as one of the Four Beauties of ancient China.The main character of this opera is Yang, played here by Li Yugang. Dimash takes on the role of the emperor. One night Yang arranges a banquet in the imperial garden and waits for the emperor to come, but he never shows up. Yang is informed by her eunuch servants that the emperor chose another concubine over her. She feels humiliated, furious and depressed. The opera shows the change of Yang's mood as she begins to drink heavily. "The icy moon rises above the island, making the world so clear," Yang says, expressing her feelings through lyrics and embeds her emotions onto the moon. Li Yugang specializes in "nándàn" roles, which is a male who plays a female role in Peking opera.The way he moves (knees bent together and those "meows" have a special meaning in the traditional opera). What is most amazing about Li is that he couldn't study at the university or conservatory of music, he is absolutely an autodidact which is so admirable. He is 42 years young. In 2009, he was invited to join the "China National Opera & Dance Drama Theater" and became China's First Class Artist (National Treasure). In that same year Li Yugang was invited to perform at Sydney Opera House in Australia, only the second Chinese artist to have done so, and was awarded the Southern Cross Gold Prize for Culture by the Australian Government. I always think of his whistles notes as party tricks, in a way. I don't mean that in a bad way at all--they are the sort of thing that make you drop your jaw in amazement--but as far as I know, he can't get all of the way up to them step by step in a scale the way he can the rest of his range.
So they are fun and a bit of a wow factor--but to me, his best range is his mid-range--it is warm and rich, and silky-smooth, when he wants to sing it that way. Or not, if he chooses to go in another direction. I think that is a lot of the magnificence of Dimash's singing--over and above his range--the many purposely selected tone qualities he can produce, in any part of his register, and the speed with which he can change from one to another seamlessly.
And then there's all of the other things that Dimash can bring to the table--his stage presence, his connection with his fans, his dedication to his craft, his charisma, his generosity, his respect for family and culture, his humility--I honestly don't think he has any "holes".

I also love to listen to Dimash's music, however i don't believe he could go too much higher as every person has their limits. Even if I trained continuously i still wouldnt be able to reach a D8. I abolutely think is is amazing and able to go higher and lower but maybe not by much.

Here’s some background information about the song. “Drunken Concubine” is based on a story which happened in Tang Dynasty, China, around 745-755 AD. The emperor’s favourite concubine had prepared a banquet for the emperor. But the Emperor failed to attend it and instead went to see one of his other beautiful concubines. The concubine was upset and decided to have the banquet alone. She became drunk on the wine and began to sing of her jealousy, bitterness and her intention to forget all her unhappiness.
Li Yugang is singing the part of the concubine while Dimash is taking the role of the emperor. In the second half of the song, Li is singing a series of notes in a high-pitched voice to approximate the sound of the Erhu which is is a two-stringed bowed musical instrument.
Li is a Chinese singer and a performer in the China National Opera & Dance Drama Theater and a member of the National Youth Federation. He specialises in "nándàn" (男旦) roles, which is a male actor who plays a female role in Peking opera. In 2009, he was invited to join the "National Performing and Dancing Company" and became China's First Class Artist (National Treasure).
Together, Dimash and Li have created an absolute masterpiece.

I absolutely agree with what you're saying and I personally believe that he was more relaxed and freer in this version because this was his own concert. The first one you listen to he was in the midst of a competition and that creates a whole different mindset and set of nerves and apprehension.

Li, if I remember correctly, is a premier opera singer in China. I believe he normally sings the female parts of the opera. I wonder why? I recommend that you also check out some of Li's work. I think you'll enjoy.😉

Drunken Concubine is a story that is said to have happened in the Tang Dynasty emperor Ming-Huang. Yang Yu-Huan was the favorite among all of the emperor's concubines. Dimash D8 whistle note he hits signing Unforgettable, look for it, it well reacted by many. He hits a whistle note on this song too with Lin Yugang, but Unforgettable is what everyone raves about.
Great reaction!! Bastau's version is better from a technical point of view, the staccatos are more precise, the lower notes have more support, and, of course, that gorgeous descendant run. The next reaction, I fully agree, Sinful Passion, but if you want whistle notes, Unforgettable Day in the Gakku version (only this version).

Nö, Dimash kann noch höher😁... aber du hast völlig recht. In der ersten Version war Dimash in einem Wettbewerb als jüngster Teilnehmer von versierten, ausgezeichneten, landesweit bekannten Sängern und Wettbewerbsteilnehmern umgeben, die er nicht verstand. (Übrigens war diese Version 1 Ton tiefer als das Original) Die 2. Version gibt er in seinem ersten eigenen Konzert in seiner Heimat nach dem Wettbewerb in China. Der Druck war nicht mehr so hoch und er singt nur 1/2 Ton tiefer als das Original (Der Sound war auch etwas besser). Er hätte keine Schwierigkeit höher zu singen, wärmt er seine Stimme doch ganz gerne mal mit der Arie der Königin der Nacht aus der Zauberflöte auf und die tobt auf dem F6 herum. 😊

Glad you’ve seen the three versions! Yilang is pretty cool with his style too. Given your fondness for Fifth Element, you must have been rejoicing. Dimash did use a whistle note this go around, but not the highest he has ever gone. Every one will have their own preference as to their favourite version - there is no one best version, each one is different. Looking forward to your reaction to Sinful Passion - if you react to the version with A-Studio, you’ll witness an audience member who figures prominently in future performances: Maestro Igor Krutoy has gone on to compose and collaborate often with Dimash. Never apologize for how you run your channel. That being said, I am glad you decided to listen to the other version as well. No two Dimash performances are ever the same. The first performance was a competition where he was being judged, the second performance was his concert where he was free to do as he pleased. "Drunken Concubine" is one of the masterpieces by Mei Lan-Fang, and is set in the Tang Dynasty (618-907). It is mostly a one-person show and tells a story of the emperor's beloved concubine Yang Yuhuan, also known as one of the Four Beauties of ancient China.The main character of this opera is Yang, played here by Li Yugang. Dimash takes on the role of the emperor. One night Yang arranges a banquet in the imperial garden and waits for the emperor to come, but he never shows up. Yang is informed by her eunuch servants that the emperor chose another concubine over her. She feels humiliated, furious and depressed. The opera shows the change of Yang's mood as she begins to drink heavily. "The icy moon rises above the island, making the world so clear," Yang says, expressing her feelings through lyrics and embeds her emotions onto the moon.
Li Yugang specializes in "nándàn" roles, which is a male who plays a female role in Peking opera.The way he moves (knees bent together and those "meows" have a special meaning in the traditional opera). What is most amazing about Li is that he couldn't study at the university or conservatory of music, he is absolutely an autodidact which is so admirable. He is 42 years young. In 2009, he was invited to join the "China National Opera & Dance Drama Theater" and became China's First Class Artist (National Treasure). In that same year Li Yugang was invited to perform at Sydney Opera House in Australia, only the second Chinese artist to have done so, and was awarded the Southern Cross Gold Prize for Culture by the Australian Government. He has become an icon in China's contemporary cultural scene.
