Can we admit..it's coaching, Caleb holding the ball and then the line. If you commit to the running game, like earlier in the year; we would be much better.

The o line is not elite by any measure. However, they routinely give caleb time. Caleb average time is 2.93 seconds. Thats more than enough since most nfl qbs time to throw is 2.5 seconds or less. How many times has caleb scrambled and ran backwards?

I am and have been a Bears fan all my life and hate to say it but the multiple problems are ownership ownership ownership. We'll never be a real contender until the Mccaskeys sell the team period and that's resulting in dumbass George's input and decision making is gone! We've been a losing team ever since he took over in 2011 worst in team history. His brother Micheal who ran his position before him understood the game and that's why we were contenders during his tenure. With that said and after the horrific season and the dampering of CW's growth their HC choices they have lined interviews up with are already guys with a mediocre past history. I mean why even waste the time....wow

I think Ben Johnson is doing a fantastic job in Detroit, but it's difficult to determine how much of his success has to do with the talent around him. The Lions skill position players are all slightly better than the Bears, and the offensive line is like comparing an NFL offensive line with a high school offensive line. I do like that he coaches from the sideline, since that's what he'll have to do if he was the head coach. We've seen what happened when Thomas Brown had to move down to the sideline when he became head coach.
I think the perfect scenario would be the Lions win the Super Bowl, and Pete Carroll becomes the head coach and convinces Ben Johnson to join him for a couple of years to be groomed to be the next head coach. I know it'll never happen, but it would be the perfect plan.

  • @dblshotz75

It doesnt matter who the coach is, who the gm is when the problem is ownership. For this team to win George McCaskey has to be completely left out of all personnel decisions from the coaches to the players. He cant be involved in any of it outside of writing the checks and that is not going to happen.

We're going to have trouble getting Ben Johnson because he's not going to want to come to an organization that is so in turmoil in the front office I hope we get them I wouldn't be surprised if they don't because of our the way the team has managed unless they give him some type of thing where he can you know override whatever somebody brings in and if he doesn't like it you can let him go they need to get that kind of power if they want them
