24 November - A fluent isiZulu-speaking Chinese man would be an unusual sight in most places - well, except maybe Pietermaritzburg. Tavern owner Gui Weng can do just that and he's become very popular among locals over the years.

In a foreign land, to learn the native language is a sign of respect and integration
Why is this in my recommendations in 2019 👀
My question exactly
Same
Bro💁♀️🤦♀️
Co ask
Same
This is so nice. They even gave him a Zulu name😂😂😂that's a sign they are pleased with you
People call me mlungu. I guess they are pleased with me too.
@@mrjohnsonpaddington967 I cant find a proper translation, please explain what that word means.
@@arafchowdhury4771 white person
@@mrjohnsonpaddington967 thank you for the fast response. Good joke.
Mr Johnson Paddington oh we use the word mukuwa (Lozi) it’s not offensive or we don’t say it with ill will, it just means white man
Imagine a Chinese person teaching you isiZulu😂
I'd love it
I’m like half Chinese half indonesian but I speak and find European language a hella lot easier than Asian Language.
one day it will happen and they will teach us our own language
He speaks Zulu so well with a real african accent, he would even make king Shaka proud.
I shouldn't have said it better!😹
Even his accent 🤣🤯
Azania Afrika it’s on point
If you talk to a man in a language he understands, that goes to his head. If you talk to him in his language, that goes to his heart.
Nelson Mandela
True .
this is the most random blast from the past recommendation TH-cam has ever suggested
Out of the blue bro
🤣🤣🤣Frrr
Same here 🤣🤣🤣
Aybo! This guy Is Zulu straight. Even his attitude
Pity the mob beat him almost to death and looted his shops.
@@minginify when did that happen??
@@minginify I think you just telling lies to spread hate
this guy lipansula
I love stufff like this!
The fact that he sounds like a real Zulu is crazy , I had Chinese and Italian friends who studied in South Africa ,they said it was much easier for them to learn Xhosa and Zulu than it was to learn Afrikaans as It was similar to their mother tongues
No one :

He seems pretty smart. In 9 years, learns isiZulu, opens a store.
His brave in foreign country
Seeing other races speaking my language makes me happy 😌❤️
@La verda strigo yes there are you buffoon
I was born in Canada to Xhosa parents. I can speak Xhosa fairly well but this guy is more fluent in Zuku than I am in Xhosa.
Ungaxali sisekhona sizokuncedisa apho sinakho.
Could be because of the environment you spoke it in
how's canada? I'm actually planning to move there in the near future. I currently stay in cape town
This Chinese man will make an excellent investment advisor in South Africa.
To me this is sign of respect..... If I go to any country I would try to learn the country language
So we not gonna talk about that pool shot at the beginning
Wow, this is amazing!
His isizulu is so good!
I know of a few Chinese restaurants in Brooklyn NY USA, where the Chinese people there speak Their Chinese language, Spanish, English , and Haitian Creole...its like, the more languages you speak, the more worlds you are now open to.
He even acts Zulu always drinking lol
Good business move, he realized that he'll be spending a lot of time with his clients so he needed to learn their language. Now he wants to learn to DJ so that he can entertain his clients without paying a DJ.
God he’s more fluent than me
🙆🏿♀️
proud man. RESPECT
He speaks so well as though he was born in South Africa.
I dont know why this is in my rec in 2020 but its nice knowing its never too late to learn a new language
Wow! I'm stunned!😮
Wow.. What a beautiful language😭😭 I love when immigrants seek to understand and speak the native language of the land they move to❤️

You have actual south africans born here who still won't bother to learn an African language... I respect this man
He is my friend
This made me smile 😊
wow how nice
Haibo 😱 i have never seen or heard a chinese speak any language other than their own they barely even speak English in my hometown. Ive always wondered how they communicate with their suppliers and employees! But this man right here has impressed me👏
This is great. I'm impressed...
Why am I seeing this 4 years later
I want to have a beer kwa Jabulani in the near future.
It’s a matter of dedication. Some people still speak ‘fanakalo’ even though they interact with Zulu people everyday for most of their day.
I wish my mother taught me Zulu 😭
Is your mom Zulu?
Poor excuse, but OK
@@lest3136 you do realise that she was probably taught another African language right??? But OK
Ncesi bakithi come will teach u
We love you 😍❤️
This is awesome.
Awesome!
It comes out so natural
Wow!😹
So proud of my IsiZulu language!❣️
YOH! impressed!
Wow I like it!!!
Why do they only use subtitles for the Chinese guy but not for the others...
So you can hear him
Man im inlove with this😁😀i sooo love this
Awww him and Moses should link up 😭😂😂💗
Wow this is strange but amazing at the same time.
Welcome to south Africa! Bring your friends!
bafo you are the best and you are the best
Amazing
This is inspiring!
I feel like I have no excuse to not speak other RSA languages hey
I think you should learn a language regardless of where you live. I'm a polyglot, well most South Africans are but I also speak a lot of non South African languages like Swahili, Shona, Chewa, French, Portuguese, Igbo, Yoruba, Hausa, some German, some Spanish. I'm also trying to learn Asian languages like Japanese. Learning new languages is challenging but it's worth it.
You're a poly whooo? So you have an open marriage?
Wow you can speak Yoruba I'm impressed as a half Nigerian U am honored may you please tell me how you managed to learn all those languages
This is so beautiful 😌
Beautiful
I love our beautiful country
I definitely searched for this 😂
Gui Weng Aka Jabulani has showed respect to the native people and all of the South Africans gave him an African name
I can't speak a single word in IsiZulu. This is amazing.
thats no excuse, i learnd like 15 isiZulu words by reading the comment section lmao
....I love this guy 😍....
Meanwhile in 2020:
TH-cam: "isiZulu-speaking Chinese man"
Bruh😅
Hehe i also found myself here.
Level 4 of lockdown
The beauty of Africa how we embrace those that want to learn
LOL when Jabulani speaks you don't interpret but when the Zulu speaking people speak you interpret, typical !!!!!
Uyazi I was thinking the same thing.
Sipho Dlamini dumb fucks
Yazi basile kwa eNCA!!!
So that u can hear how he speaks dumbass we alreadyvknow the Zulus can speak Zulu
@@daphne2108 This should have been obvious to the OP.
Kwa Ma Qhwebelele😂🇿🇦🇷🇺🇨🇳 but he's gone now living in outside Sweetwater's 😂
wow wow
Why is this in the news!!
Why was this recommended on my page
Wow Amazing 👏 I like it 👍
Lindani Bhengu your comment is worth a million. I worked in a clinic in this my country, my fellow South Africans would say "Yo andikuva ke mna tu!!! When I asked them Nka ho thusa ka eng? A colleague of mine would say to me "Tell her oa mo rata and see her reaction.
Ok what am I supposed to do with this information?
When the foreigner makes the news anchor look bad 🤦🏿♀️.
💀😂😂😂😂😂😂
This is what happens when you try to build relationships with people, even if you are capitalizing from them, you come to their house and you learn their language, not like colonists who tried to force their language onto natives but were the ones who needed land and minerals from Africans. A lot of Chinese ppl can learn from this guy. Its what we black people call Ubuntu. We need to do away with English being the only mainstream form of communication internationally.
20% of the earth inhabitants speak English so good luck with that
@@beerreview5488 stop trying to validating senselessness
Now take one Zulu man to China I want to see something
🤣🤣🤞
Hahaha....he will comeback in a life raft
But they are linguistically dyslexic
@@koketsomawela1357 I just gonna go ahead and ask for everyone...😅what does that mean?
@@Mimi-hu2mj 😁it's just an offensive way of saying they have a language learning disabillity dished out because most of them don't speak African languages
we need a follow up on this man in 2020
Awwwwww thats nice
9 years ago? That's crazy some people lived here all their lives and can't say a single word
Wow this is beautiful 🤗🤗🤗

Now for south Africans to put a little more effort in learning foreign languages.
tjo hola gui weng speaking zulu like it was made in china
In all my years in pmb I've never encountered this man. What a tragedy
Wow that cool
Bow Wow studied in Japan
Wow!!😍😍
Nani?!

I like how Chinese and Koreans come into South Africa 🇿🇦 and learn the African languages unlike the Europeans and Indians who were born in South Africa
Yup. Now I can be laid to rest.
Now he's kinda hot

Any excuse for beer hey 🤣👍
Most of the time in his shop there's specials on beer, You'd buy one and get 1 for free.
Awesome I wish I could speak Chinese
