I don't dance, but I love to watch Atarshii Gakko! dance. And I always appreciate your insights! I'm glad that I'm able to learn more about them through your analysis.

I'm so glad you got to this! It's an example of AG! being choreographers for someone else. They developed this dance for the boy band Hey! Say! Jump's song "Negative Fighter" so that explains the different feel of the dance, although it's interesting that you feel its a more feminine dance than AG!'s other work. The music is sort of "8 bit" I think because of some copyright issues, but here's the original song and Hey! Say! Jump doing the dance.

For your next AG! reaction I suggest "Omakase" where they use steps and shapes influenced by Japanese folk dances.

Strangely, when I first saw the Omokase performance from Coachella, I wondered what @xiaouiris would think about it. Definitely not a typical idol dance.

@@roberthradek7100 Well AG! aren't going to produce some stereotypical k-pop or idol type of synchronized dance and I think Toryanse and Omakase were both nods to Japanese traditions after their early trips overseas.

I know nothing about masculine/feminine dance styles, so to me it's interesting that they dance in a masculine style and choreographed a feminine dance for a boy group.

    この曲名は「negative fighter」です。
    この曲を歌っている男性アイドルグループ名が「Hey!Say!JUMP」です。

I think there are many cute men in Hey!Say!JUMP who stimulate maternal instincts. He has the loveliness of a small child and the dependability of a man that he occasionally shows. This gap is what makes this group so popular.
Hey!Say!JUMP's fans also commented on this dance, calling it "kawaii".
AG's new song FlyHigh is surprisingly masculine, and you almost forget that SUZUKA is a girl in a sailor suit. In Japan, there is a term called ``gap moe,'' perhaps because people find charm in the contradictory aspects of a person.
Thank you for always watching AG's dance😊

Suzuka's shoe going into the audience was planned. It happened at the same time in multiple concerts. Since she didn't always get it back, eventually she had a spare on stage. Have you ever tried dancing while playing a wind instrument? These high school kids choreograph this themselves. th-cam.com/video/MHj-ZUYKMIw/w-d-xo.html You have to watch really close to tell that one of them has a prosthetic leg and doing all the same steps.

I would not try to do their choreo, ever. Even back in the day when I was limber and coordinated. These days, I am doing good to just walk without tripping myself, lol! Mizyu is constantly launching her shoe and I can't imagine the amount of force she whips it with. Kanon is the girl in the back with the socks. She always seems so graceful and makes me think she has some ballet training or something. Nice reaction as always!

What did he do with the shoe? Give it back or is it bronzed?
I have not practiced this dance but I'm interested to see if someone here has. I'm not on tictoc but I know they get a lot of covers there. That's why they got famous so fast.

Su Metal of Babymetal has danced with a mike for 14+ years now. It would be weird to see her without one.

They've been doing this since they were young children and before that they were child models.
I want them to choreograph a major Kpop group, like Twice or Ateez.

I've mentioned in a handful of places that the girls' performances would benefit from the use of headset mics to free up their hands, and I always get this odd pushback from other fans that it would never work because they move so much. Despite the fact that headset mics have been a part of frenetic dance performances (even aerial acrobatics) for decades. So I'm glad you mentioned it. It really affects choreography where they're forming shapes and creating illusions with their arms in dance practice, but can only do half of on stage.
