IMO you have to be a real Nexus lover to pay this sort of money in most of the world, even where it is discounted in the US there are better options.

I bought the Nexus and when I finally receive it, It was not the phone I expected the phone die fast freeze a lot especially the snap chat. I called google they did not over me anything and when i asked for the refund they said return it with out offering technical support. I been love with Nexus for almost 3 years where I bought the 4 and the 5 but I always have a problem with the snap chat even in the Nexus 5. I am very disappoint in google services.

Keval Khara If you want the fingerprint scanner and the latest software updates, go to the Nexus 5x but if you want an expandable storage. Just go with the Motorola X. I don't really find any difference between the performance and oh, The camera on the Nexus 5x is actually better than the Motorola X.(Based on my usage between the both of them) Edit: The specs of the Nexus 5x is better than the specs of the Moto X Play

I also have an S6 Edge. my 5X is very laggy, apps crash and battery drains quickly. it also won't connect to my PC which is only a minor inconvenience. I'm doing a factory reset and giving it a few more days. if performance doesn't improve, I'll return it and maybe buy the HTC iPhone, oops I meant the HTC A9 to go along with my S6 Edge

Plastic has its uses, it's lighter, it's more resilient and durable, and it's not a slippery bar of soap. i.e. the Sennheiser HD25 is plastic to help with the comfort and sound compared to the newer model that is metal which sounds tinny. Metal is not always = premium

Absolutely, or even the 6P. Additionally, you can wait a couple of months for the next Nexus note known as Pixel devices. But I'll personally be very happy with the 6P for the next year or so, so I don't mind skipping the next generation. Nexus devices age really well.
+D.j. rabang Pretty decent upgrade, especially if you're coming from a carrier branded S4. The biggest advantage are going to be getting the latest and greatest version of android for at least the next 2 years, plus, the fingerprint sensor is great, if you lock your phone. Now, if you go to a Nexus 6P, then the upgrade is much bigger. You'll be getting a newer and bigger samsung AMOLED display, as well as a much newer and faster CPU,, plus more RAM. Plus, the 3450 mAH. The display is also very bright, making it easier to see in the sunlight. I believe the brightness is second only to the Note 5, and the difference is marginal. Since the 5x has an LCD, you'll have more double reading it in the sun even at max brightness.
Overall I would suggest you get the Nexus 5X, one day you will want to change your phone, and Asus phones aren't exactly the easiest to sell out there. Not to mention software updates are extremely bad in Asus' case. So I advise you to go with the 5X
I finally got the N5X (Ice blue). I actually really like the feel. I certainly doesn't feel cheap and reminds me of my old N5. I personally like the overall design and it is really nice to hold given the size and it is pretty light. I haven't found anything really not like with this phone. It is speedy. The camera is excellent but maybe not S6 good. Only disappointment is I wish it came with the 32gb. I rarely use the speaker and it is fine for what it is. I don't need Bose quality. Lastly, learning to live without Qi charging.
Personally my preferred Nexus device of 2015. Just love it and I personally think Nexus 5 2013 fans will love it minus the 2GB of RAM, which isn't that big of a deal because stock Android isn't a RAM hog.
My wife has the Nexus 5. I have the 5x. The 5x is a very good alternative and replacement for the nexus5. The 5x is not a viable upgrade from the nexus5. Performance wise the difference is unnoticeable. Screen size and quality are very much the same but the slightly larger screen on the 5x feels better. Storage is the same. The nexus 5 gets the updated Android so OS wise they are the same. Battery on the old 5 was way better than the 5x. The 5x drains the battery unlike any phone I have ever seen. My advise: DON'T replace the 5 with the 5x unless your 5 has died. If you don't have a nexus and you find an old 5 at a good price go for it. But if you want a better camera and slightly bigger screen go for the 5x. If you want an upgrade for the nexus 5 go for the Nexus 6p by huawey. Several of my colleagues own it and we also have some company ones. I've done tests on it: It is the ultimate phone. DON"T buy the nexus 6 by Motorola. All of our company moto nexus 6 are freezing from time to time.
The 4G is a strong point for the 5x though. If you have unlimited data on 4G network,upgrading from 5 to 5x is not a bad idea. But if you do not use network data it's not worth it. I'm using around 5Gb of network data per month but in house I don't need the 4g because wifi.

If you want an upgrade for the nexus 5 go for the Nexus 6p by huawey. Several of my colleagues own it and we also have some company ones. I've done tests on it: It is the ultimate phone.
DON"T buy the nexus 6 by Motorola. All of our company moto nexus 6 are freezing from time to time.

The 4G is a strong point for the 5x though. If you have unlimited data on 4G network,upgrading from 5 to 5x is not a bad idea. But if you do not use network data it's not worth it. I'm using around 5Gb of network data per month but in house I don't need the 4g because wifi.
I have the nexus 5x. I was wondering how noticeable the nexus 6p screen was compared to the 5x.

I have both and you will notice the difference. The AMOLED screen on the 6p is better than the LCD screen on the 5x.

Power and volume buttons are all on the right side of the phone. This makes it harder to take screenshot with one hand.

the weird things is why google does not make same part and everything outside like nexus 5 , with newer inner (ram,cpu,GPU battery ,etc)

love my Nexus 5x :) I'm not a fan of huge phones so I'm glad they gave a smaller option
I had the same feeling about build quality coming from the HTC One M8.
Oneplus 2 has better specs but i'm interested to see how long it takes for marshmallow to reach it as thats the edge nexus phones will always have.
