Same, and I’ve been in one of these parking lot Karen (or Darren in my case) situations. One time I got out of my car and saw a man in the parking space in front of me screaming at me because I unknowingly took a spot he was planning to back into. I immediately got back in my car and sped off because I didn’t like confrontation. And it was at the DMV, on the last possible day I could renew my tags without a late penalty. I ended up renewing them online instead.

Same, and I’ve been in one of these parking lot Karen (or Darren in my case) situations. One time I got out of my car and saw a man in the parking space in front of me screaming at me because I unknowingly took a spot he was planning to back into. I immediately got back in my car and sped off because I didn’t like confrontation. And it was at the DMV, on the last possible day I could renew my tags without a late penalty. I ended up renewing them online instead.

My mom has some anger issues, but she's always been yknow normal in public (polite and kind to customer service employees, yknow?) but one time we were at a carls jr drive thru and they were taking a kinda long time, like we were there for 20min, but ive worked at a fast food place and we've both become more patient after my experience there. But for some reason, idk what was going on with her that day, but she went, there's not another way to say this, she went full Karen, it was bizzare. Like she got out of the car to yell at the guy in front (cause he was the one "holding up the line", he had a pretty big order), she yelled at the employees and i was like "Oh my god, i am so sorry!!!" i had never seen her like that, and she hasn't done it since, but it's weird to have a first-hand Karen story and for it to be your mom D:

Honestly, I think shouting at someone holding up the drive thru for 20 mins could be understandable depending on the way they're doing it and the day she had. I've waited behind people who spent 20 minutes arguing about their order a couple times and I was internally losing my shit.
Same for my mom. She has my dad to calm her down most of the time, thankfully. But I will never forget when we were in an ihop and she exclaimed in a loud and rude manner that their service was terrible, something like that. She then slammed open the door and stomped out, looking like a chimpanzee or something. Everyone in the waiting area was just rolling their. Very embarrassing.

It’s crazy to me how two people came onto the scene of a grown man demanding a teenage girl to touch him and getting visibly violently aggressive, and immediately took his side. Was this girl doing anything to de-escalate the situation by going back and forth with him with her phone out? Obviously not. But the fact that they didn’t see who was the one being the worst in this situation is insane. The lady even told this teenager being harassed by a grown man to shut up when she hadn’t even been the last person to say anything. And she wasn’t the one yelling “Touch me, fucking touch me”. Do all boomers stick together to act like fools or what? Maybe in this area, but that doesn’t seem to be the case elsewhere. I’ve seen just as many act like the grown adults they are. Just not here.
