I remember getting some of these from Dollar Tree when I was in third grade, so either 2008 or 2009. I ended up making my own trading cards and filling the pages with them.
Kinda wish that the Bari, Tia and Wonrei spell books weren’t so hard to find, the set one books, Zeno,Zatch,Zophis,Brago,Kanchome, and ponygon are still super cheap and easy to get on ebay/Stop2Shop
The reason why you have never opened set 2 is that it's the second hardest to get your hands on sadly. Set 1 saw many printings and even later reprinting. Set 2 wasn't really short printed, but printed way less than Set 3. And finally set 4 was just crapped out right at the end and saw so little of it printed it's genuinely depressing. Set 4 was easily the coolest set in the game. Introduced so many new mechanics that would become staples.
How many Yellow Tail? Generally 2-4. Depending on how many spells you want to cast during the course of the game. Of course, Tia's lunch is just better Yellow Tail, but if your playing with budget set 1 like most people are these days, it'll get the job done. Based on the cards you pulled I would look into going for a Brago Spell Spam set up with a bit of Purido control using Ponygon to gain early page advantage and hopefully destabilize your opponent moving into the mid game.
So your book opening plays of Ponygon into Yellow Tail isn't bad and it's actually a pretty standard opening. The downside is that you have to be reallly careful about an early Fein kicking your teeth in. I'd open marus, then go into Ponygon if I were you.
Very cool! Lol I love how you just can't get enough of the Friendship Curry card, it's very underrated. xD I'm super curious who this "Speed Robo" is, I'm also a big fan of the card game and have helped put together translations of the Japanese versions in the past, so it'd be great to get to know another expert of Zatch Bell CCG! I'm also working with a few people to put together a definitive Tabletop Simulator plugin for this game sometime either this year or early 2022, so please look forward to that if you enjoy the game!
Yoooo! What's up!? Let me know what you need for the TTS plugin. I (should) have literally every card in the game scanned and a lot of them translated already.
@@speedrobo99 Hey, pleasure to meet you! :D So you've got most if not all of them scanned AND translated? Man, I would LOVE to get better acquainted. Do you have a Discord account or something where we can chat about this more?
@@speedrobo99 So sorry to be getting back to you so late on this, TH-cam didn't give me the notif that you replied for some reason. I sent you a friend request from RazeDevastator whenever you can get around to it! Thanks in advance!
There's three different ways to experience the series. 1. Anime in your language (goes up to episode 104 or possibly 119 if in Hindi) 2. The fansub of the Japanese anime (goes up to episode 150) 3. The manga - which completes the story, and the anime didn't completely adapt all the way. So if you really wanted to know how the series ends, I highly recommend reading the manga. :)

The spell book is wild.

An inserted promo card having damaged corners? Some things never change!
Do they still make these card game?
So that Ponygon promo card is staple in most competitive books. Free damage is pretty broken.
Thanks for sharing
My gameboy has every thing for for zach bell card game.
