A gentle hill near New Panvel, surrounded by historic forts and amazing beautiful villages.
A less frequented trek route to this ridge, is of easy to moderate difficulty. One will be amazed with the natural beauty of the greens. If your are interested to trek and walk in the clouds , then is is the trek during monsoons.
This is the path we followed to reach the Nedhe (A naturally formed hole in the mountain) of Nakhind (approx 550m above MSL) from Vangani Railway station on Centrail Railway.
The path goes through a tarred road from Vangani to Bedisgaon, about 4 kilometres and then proceeds to the Vaghachi Wadi, the base village for Nakhind located on a plateau at a height of 300m above MSL. The route from Vaghachi wadi to the Nakhind ridge is a bit steep can be confusing to a newbie. It's best to enquire with the villagers about the route or ask someone to show you the way to the ridge. A 5 min walk along the ridge will culminate at the Nedhe. Follow the same path back to Bedisgaon.
