    Good one Andy. Great to see how you cut the shark up too. Look forward to any of your vids regardless of what they are about.

    My mate taught me a great trick with gummy fillets as soon as your done filleting put all the fillets in a sieve or collender with a bowl underneath to catch the liquid. Let it drain in the fridge for two days then you get no amonia smell. Then it's good to cook or bag up to freeze.

    Good video bud, seven gills are good eating but need immediate prep, not laying on boat, or bank to long meat is terrible if not prepared properly, and is a shame to waste. Thanks for sharing, two thumbs up.

      Thanks mate ! Yeah I agree ! A lot of people always tell me to chuck it back not worth keeping but think always try once for yourself and glad I did now. Chuck some back and keep one every now and then

    Great video mate. I've heard nothing but bad things about 7 gillers, but I reckon i might need to give it a try after watching this.

      100% mate that’s why I wanted to do the video ! I was told it’s shit but reckon it’s all in the prep ! Have made 12 meals so far with them fillets and it’s all been as good as gummy !

    I went to My Gambier last weekend for the first time. My wife was missing Big W. They have some good jigjeads if you ever fish with small plastics.

    Use to love the Penns but ive blown so many out ive changed to daiwa saltist mq 6000 for 35lb and bg mq 8000 for 50lb cast better, better drag, better retrieve, I'll never go back but can't beat the Penn sound, 7 gill hang over night, cut it up freeze the meat for a week to a month and its nearly as good as a schooly.

      Personal opinion though if you can hack the ammonia go for your life eat it fresh

    • @auslifeandy
      @auslifeandy  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah wouldn’t eat it fresh ha it stunk. Was in the freezer for 5 days!
      Wouldn’t know the difference from gummy if no one told me. Made some burgers with it aswell. Still plenty left. Thanks for watching again mate

    Best to tip the tale and cut through the cartilage in the throat to bleed sharks. Too be honest, 7 gills taste disgusting imo.
    Best sharks to eat are Gummy, Bronzie, School shark and Whiskery.
    I tried a 7 gill years ago and never again.
