Or you can directly call the floating bar’s number which is listed as +960 763 0899 on TripAdvisor. Yes, That is in the west side of the Maafushi Island. It's near the Maafahivathi play area that I mentioned in my Maafushi island tour video. It will be a nice place.. and next to your hotel the area is not so crowded. It's a sort of back side of the island you can say. And there is a beautiful and calm beach side walking area. You can see lots of local families also in this area roaming with their kids and family members.. So just enjoy 😊✌️

So you can go for it, or else if you want to go for a luxury category then you can select kaani hotel, Arena beach or iCom Marina types of hotels also. In this video you can see the contact details of every sports activities center in Maafushi. So just put a text in their whatsapp number and they will provide you full details with price. Generally the half day tours will cost you 40 to 50 USD per person and few full day packages will cost you nearly 60 to 80 USD per person including lunch, boat transfer, activity gears and underwater pictures and videos. Hi Sritam, Yes our Arora inn stay was very pleasant. The management there is very professional. Mr. Samy was there who took care of everything very well. The complementary breakfast was also good. And main thing is it's a small hotel, so on your demand they were preparing breakfast for you. So you can tell the previous night what you want. That's the good thing. And for my kid there was special care every time. She was loaded with chocolates, biscuits and other stuff every now and then during the entire stay, and her breakfast request was totally special like noodles and all..😆 Night they provided complementary milk and all for the kid also. So overall the rooms and the hotel may be small, but their hospitality was of top class and rest everything was very good and well taken care for us.. So you can go for it if you are planning your stay in Maafushi. Thank you 😊👍🏼
I used MVR for all local purchase and food expense in Maafushi. But they accept MVR as well as USD everywhere. Also you can use your forex card or international credit/debit card everywhere. Thank you 😊👍🏼
I have booked all except food. Example stay, speedboat, hotel, course fee. I am planning not to carry cash (only 40dollars which I already have). For such miscellaneous expenses which will be lesser amount I am thinking to get cash from public island ATMs or use card itself wherever accepted. In immigration do they explicitly ask about cash being carried or in the island as it looks like cards and atms are functional
Hi Neelanjan, First of all let me tell you that in immigration they will not ask you any money/cash details or bank details. So not to worry about it at all. Now coming to your expenses, if you have booked your hotel, excursion and everything and you just have to spend only for your daily food needs, then I must suggest you that for public islands like Maafushi, you can consider 10 USD per day per person for food expense (minimum cost per day if you take food in basic hotels) and as per that calculate and keep cash with you. It will be sufficient. And all over Maafushi they accept all types of credit cards, debit cards, or forex cards. So not to worry about it at all. Keep a card with you for safer side and wherever required you can use the card also if needed. Hope this helps. Thank you 😊👍
Hi Neelanjan, in Maldives Sim card is not at all necessary. at airport help desk you get a landline from where you can do local calls to your hotel if required (check Male airport video for more details). And in your private island also they provide Wi-Fi in the entire island. And in public island like Maafushi and all, every hotel and restaurant have WiFi. so no need to buy sim if you don't have any urgent office or business realated work where you need to be connected with your team all the time. Hi Karan, If you are travelling to Maldives then you don't need any sim card. Because everywhere you will get Wi-Fi either it's your private Island or your hotel or restaurants in the public Island. Also in the Male airport help desk area you can get a landline for doing some small local calls to your hotel or tour operator etc. Now coming to your sim card query, there are two network operators in Maldives, Ooredoo & Dhiraagu. And they both having sim plan with minimum 1 week internet plan for travellers at a cost of approximately 35 to 40 USD. And for money exchange in Maafushi, you can go to BANK OF MALDIVES directly for better experience and also for better exchange rates. But cash aap maldives me exchange na kare ya atm se na nikale. Exchange rate zyada hoga. Aap India me hi kisi bank ya RBI authorised currency exchange agency se aache rate me currency exchange Kara sakte hai. That is the best option if you are planning to do transactions in cash. Aab aapko 4 din ka total kharcha kitna aayega wo aaise bata nahi sakte. Aapko thoda andaaz se calculate karna padega. We stayed in Arora Inn. There the breakfast was not on a buffet counter style type, but they have a little cozy sitting space where they serve breakfast on the table. And it's a kind of unlimited breakfast type option, where you can ask for more and eat as per your capacity. The staff there is very generous and for my kid they were always ready to serve anything she likes. She demanded chocolate, Maggie and few more unusual things one night before and guess they fulfilled all her nonsense demands in the morning and served her all those stuffs in breakfast just as a token of love and affection 😅😁😜 At night they will tell you the breakfast menu options for next morning, so if you want you can slightly tell them to modify it as per your choice. So it was pretty good and lovely experience for us and the food was also very good. Thank you 😊👍🏼

In Maafushi there is no water villa, but from Maafushi there are various tour operators who provide day tours to various nearby public Island where you will get to see water villas.

If you want a package booking trip for Maldives then Just check on web for Maldives tour package. There are plenty of tour travel companies from India as well as Maldives who provide these packages.
But the package tours are always costly with limited option. So in my opinion its better to plan Maldives tour by your own in a customized way as per your comfort as per your choice.

Ocean vista, mama mia pizza pasta, Harbour cafe, Maafushi cafe... All these are comparatively budgeted restaurants in Maafushi Island. We also had our meals in some of these restaurants and a few more other restaurants in the same surrounding..

Yes our Arora inn stay was very pleasant. The management there is very professional. Mr. Samy was there who took care of everything very well. The complementary breakfast was also good. And main thing is it's a small hotel, so on your demand they were preparing breakfast for you. So you can tell the previous night what you want. That's the good thing. And for my kid there was special care every time. She was loaded with chocolates, biscuits and other stuff every now and then during the entire stay, and her breakfast request was totally special like noodles and all..😆
Night they provided complementary milk and all for the kid also. So overall the rooms and the hotel may be small, but their hospitality was of top class and rest everything was very good and well taken care for us..
So you can go for it if you are planning your stay in Maafushi.

What currency did u use in the supermarket
I used MVR for all local purchase and food expense in Maafushi.
But they accept MVR as well as USD everywhere. Also you can use your forex card or international credit/debit card everywhere.

I have booked all except food.
Example stay, speedboat, hotel, course fee.
I am planning not to carry cash (only 40dollars which I already have).
For such miscellaneous expenses which will be lesser amount I am thinking to get cash from public island ATMs or use card itself wherever accepted.
In immigration do they explicitly ask about cash being carried or in the island as it looks like cards and atms are functional

First of all let me tell you that in immigration they will not ask you any money/cash details or bank details. So not to worry about it at all.
Now coming to your expenses, if you have booked your hotel, excursion and everything and you just have to spend only for your daily food needs, then I must suggest you that for public islands like Maafushi, you can consider 10 USD per day per person for food expense (minimum cost per day if you take food in basic hotels) and as per that calculate and keep cash with you. It will be sufficient.
And all over Maafushi they accept all types of credit cards, debit cards, or forex cards. So not to worry about it at all. Keep a card with you for safer side and wherever required you can use the card also if needed.

in Maldives Sim card is not at all necessary. at airport help desk you get a landline from where you can do local calls to your hotel if required (check Male airport video for more details). And in your private island also they provide Wi-Fi in the entire island. And in public island like Maafushi and all, every hotel and restaurant have WiFi. so no need to buy sim if you don't have any urgent office or business realated work where you need to be connected with your team all the time.

About Mobile sim card . How to exchange money if required?
Hi Karan,
If you are travelling to Maldives then you don't need any sim card. Because everywhere you will get Wi-Fi either it's your private Island or your hotel or restaurants in the public Island.
Also in the Male airport help desk area you can get a landline for doing some small local calls to your hotel or tour operator etc.
Now coming to your sim card query, there are two network operators in Maldives, Ooredoo & Dhiraagu. And they both having sim plan with minimum 1 week internet plan for travellers at a cost of approximately 35 to 40 USD.
And for money exchange in Maafushi, you can go to BANK OF MALDIVES directly for better experience and also for better exchange rates. They have a branch in Maafushi and also on other major public island.

Maldive me visa, master credit card ya debit card ya forex card ya fir aur koi international transaction card ho to sab bahut easily accessible hota hai.
Aur agar aap cash le jana chahte hai to ya USD or MVR dono chalta hai aur airport me and public island me apko ATM bhi easily mil jayenge.
But cash aap maldives me exchange na kare ya atm se na nikale. Exchange rate zyada hoga.
Aap India me hi kisi bank ya RBI authorised currency exchange agency se aache rate me currency exchange Kara sakte hai. That is the best option if you are planning to do transactions in cash.
Aab aapko 4 din ka total kharcha kitna aayega wo aaise bata nahi sakte. Aapko thoda andaaz se calculate karna padega. Mera Maldives tour package wala video dekheye, usme aapko pata chal jayega har cheez ka exact rate.

We stayed in Arora Inn. There the breakfast was not on a buffet counter style type, but they have a little cozy sitting space where they serve breakfast on the table. And it's a kind of unlimited breakfast type option, where you can ask for more and eat as per your capacity.
The staff there is very generous and for my kid they were always ready to serve anything she likes. She demanded chocolate, Maggie and few more unusual things one night before and guess they fulfilled all her nonsense demands in the morning and served her all those stuffs in breakfast just as a token of love and affection 😅😁😜
At night they will tell you the breakfast menu options for next morning, so if you want you can slightly tell them to modify it as per your choice.
So it was pretty good and lovely experience for us and the food was also very good.

And some popular hotels in the main Street are even open till 11:30
From Male, money exchange will be costly. So better you can exchange money from India itself and then proceed.

From Maafushi to Male you have two options. One is speed boat for 25 USD per person and another is ferry for 2 USD per person. Check my maldives package video for timings and more details.
And IMUGA is a simple self declaration form that you have to fill online and provide your basic details. For that I will make a seperate video if required and you can check the same.
