Brilliant catch! Would you be okay with me featuring this in my series Weekly Dose of Aviation? Of course you will be credited both in the video and in the description. Thanks!
This is absolutely amazing! Would it be okay if I included this in an upcoming video on channel Aero - Por Trás da Aviação? Full credit will be given directly in the video. Thanks a lot!
I just watched your video, and that catch was absolutely epic! I was wondering if it would be alright to feature it in my next video. Of course, I'll credit your channel in the description and include a link to the original video. Let me know if that works for you. Thanks
Wow - the resilience of modern engines is incredible, bloody ate the bird, a seagull which isn’t a particular small or light bird, and carried on performing for hours! Incredible, probably needs an inspection but fine otherwise. Rip birdy.
Hi, can I put your video clip into my video? I will put a link to the original work. Currently my video is played on other platforms and I will repost it on TH-cam in the future. Thank you!
Bird strikes are very common I feel, very rare that humans end up in working engines thankfully but it has happened at airports. The thing I hate hearing about having worked in the industry. I have even stopped flying with issues with Boeing max aircraft , and watching aircraft crash investigations on discovery, i now hate airports with all the hassle with security checks and hate flying .
Bird strikes cost the aviation industry millions annually in repairs, delays, and safety measures. May I have permission to feature this in my next episode? Full credit will be given in the video and a link in the description. Thank you.
Quite safe to fly on one engine if Needed, but if there had to be an engine shut down would have returned to airport.Presume engine was OK with continuing to Italy.
It’s a bit late to send out the bird scarer out now the bird has been ingested by the engine. I bet Mr O’Leary is thinking up new ideas on how to charge people more €’s to pay for that engine.
The bird scarer we used at RAF Manston was a Verey pistol with a sleeve insert to accept a shotgun sized cartridge. I got a telling off for aiming at the birds instead of above them. Not as bad as the runway controller who managed to bounce a shell off the wing of a Victor tanker that was taxiing out in strong winds, though !

Great video Robert👍🏻 Shows what a bird strike can result in…..🔥 Could easily have been a lot worse for that Ryanair! Thanks for sharing.
Was that BA catering collecting the residue of the bird?

Great capture, and as said, at the point of rotation.
Just on VR as well. Doesn’t look like any compressor stall or anything afterwards.

Must have scared the sh#t out of the passengers who spotted that. Must have made for a very worrisome flight.

Cracking video. Did the plane dump fuel and land or did it continue on?

Hi Robert - I've sent a message to your Facebook about this
It was given a PCR test and classed as a COVID death!
You’re like one of those Japanese soldiers who didn’t surrender after WWII until 1970
