Hello Abood. I wonder if you can asssit me. I have some understanding of Rabbinical Judaism's view of Yeshua Ben David, HaMasshiach. I was wondering, how does Samaritanism view Yeshua HaMashiach, ben David, Melech Yisrael?
@Night Knight Samaritians don't call themselves Palestinians. Ask any of them and they will say something like "well, yeah, but we're the sons of Israel" or something like that. It's never an outright yes. Stop trying to force your bullshit identity on an ancient people who already have their own culture, language, religion and way of life, which is basically identical to Jews and Judaism with very few exceptions. They also draft into the Army. Jews aren't foreign to this land and you know it, and so does every other Palestinian. Your village names all have Hebrew root words, so do your family names. Palestinians are basically just Arabized Jews, you're the same as us.
@@nightknight2820 These are our brothers and belong in this land like us. These are non-Palestinian Israelites who, unlike foreign colonial occupiers like the Palis, belong to this land.
@@ForeverRepublic It's more complex than that. While many Palis descend from Samaritans and Jews and therefore have a high percentage of Levantine DNA (about 60% of Palis), the others descend from foreign implants imported from the Middle East and beyond it e.g. Iraq, Egpyt, Morroco, the Caucasus, Bosnia, Sudan, Yemen. This is why so many of them have family names that reflect various places in the Middle East and beyond.
@ZviJ1 You are correct. In general, Palestinians have very diverse ancestral origins, especially compared to Jews, and the genetic profile diverges depending on where you are. For example, among Christians, and Palestinians in and around Nablus, the share of Samaritian ancestry is higher. In Tulkarm, it's much lower (Tulkarm was founded by Kurdish settlers in the 12th century, after Saladin conquered Jerusalem). The Samaritians that converted to Islam married into the wider Arab society and assimilated. The Christians married each other and became genetic isolates. Whether or not this makes them "indigenous" is debatable. In my view, no. I think the Jewish claim to the land ultimately supercedes the Arab claim, and I don't recognize Palestinians as separate from Jordanians or other Levantine Arabs. I would support a Palestinian state if the Israeli government decided that such a thing was in their interests, and if no Jewish community in the West Bank was uprooted, had representation in any future Palestinian unity government, etc. But the real solution to this conflict is the Israeli annexation of the West Bank, fully and completely. Anyone who takes an issue living under Israeli sovereignty can relocate to Jordan.

@@TheTravelingClatt Great job, Tal!!! I always look forward to your vlogs - they can be comical and there’s always something to learn from them. Keep growing as an honest “reporter.” To be honest, I read about the Samaritans in the Bible as they are mentioned often, but I didn’t even think that they were still around. Here’s wishing you a good night (it’s morning here).
If someone died twenty minutes before sabbath, they would not bury them right away. They might have gone to the cemetery to ready things. It seems unlikely they would bury without cleansing the body and also wouldn't there be local health laws to make sure the man was actually dead??
I'm a super secular Jew, American & Israeli, and thought the Samaritans, like the Bedoin and the Druz, weren't Jewish ... but they are and this just thrills me. Loved this video. Thanks for educating me. I love that I learned something today. BTW, at around 11:25 onward, I hearg group prayer. I can't really make out the Hebrew, but it sounded a bit like Kaddish. Am I right? Also, how are the Samaritans looked upon by our religious authorities? The same way they look upon (and down at) the Karite Jews.
Samaritans are not Jews. They consider themselves to be descendants of the Northern Kingdom of Israel that was destroyed by the Assyrians. Our authorities differ on them, the Rabbinate in Jerusalem accept them as "ethnically Jewish" but says they need to recognize Jerusalem.
It was fascinating to hear the chanting they do. It is not exactly the same but it is similar to some tones of Byzantine Orthodox Christian hymns we chant in Church.
Indeed it is! I am Orthodox and was fascinated to watch this service and to see how similar it is to Orthodox services. It is a shame the West has moved so far from the Jewish inheritance of the Church. In Orthodoxy we keep it going, facing east in prayer, starting the day at sundown, the cycles of feasts and fasting, still regarding saturday as the sabbath, etc.
Hi. I enjoyed watching your videos for the first time. We have in Morocco the same outfit those man praying are wearing. I am curious to know who inspired whom this time.
Well friend, Islam started about 600 years after Christianity, and Jews/Samaritans vastly predate that. So, probably Islamics were inspired by the other Abrahamic practices.
You should first know exactly what you're talking about before making such statements. It you got a closeup on the Samaritan "outfit", you'd easily notice it's not identical to any of those in Muslim countries. They have 22 "buttons" on the top of one lapel and 22 "loops" corresponding with them on the other lapel. This is their version of the ritual tassels (Ṣiṣiyot) that must be on a 4 cornered garment -- a Torah commandment that Islam has ignored since the outset, while its adherents often argue -- disrespecting the intelligence of their audience -- that Islam is the perfect and final revelation.
@@shainazion4073You personally took a census in the 700s or what? Palestinians are more indigenous to that land than the majority of Jews who migrated there in the 1900s.

So interesting and different from Jewish Shuls, but the question is this? The prayers sitting on the floor are similar to Muslim prayers and since the Samaritans would have been in Yisrael before the Arabs, do the Arabs pray on the floor like Samaritans, customs or do the Samaritans pray on the floor like the Muslims? Very interesting services. I am intrigued..
Thank you, thank you, thank you for showing us this Samaritan neighborhood. My favorite Bible story is when the Good Samaritan carries the man who was left for dead, unconscious, in a coma. The hero carries him to the closest inn and says to provide full medical help to the poor man, that the Good Samaritan would repay him for the medical care upon his return. I like to think of Samaritans as the ancestral origin of The Red Cross. That man is my #1 hero in all the Bible. A human with no pony in the race who heals the wounded through human "lovingkindness" (Jewish word).

There is nothing secret about the Samaritan synagogue on Mt Gerizim. I visited the previous bldg on Gerizim in the Spring of 1967 at Passover. We all sat on the floor.
The area was obviously still under Jordanian occupation at the time..... way cool that you managed to visit it then! But it was in Shekhem ("Nablus") rather than the nearby Mt. Gerizim. The first modern Samaritan synagogue was built on Mt. Gerizim only in 1988, when the Samaritans relocated to it from Shekhem. If you check the facts you'll notice I'm correct.
@@ZviJ1 I never visited their synagogue in Nablus. They had nice tents on Mt Gerizim at Passover in 1967, aside from the actual synagogue bldg there on the Mount. I have not been there since then (over half-a-century ago). The video obviously shows a much larger and more modern bldg built since then.

Very unusual liturgy. All Congregants seem to know by heart, and chant at unison their two-and-a-half hour-long prayers. Rather monotonous, but still fascinating! Very unusual prayers schedule, 3.30am through 5:30am of uninterrupted chanting.
We do the same thing in the Orthodox Christian Church. We have what we call "all night vigils" which would start around the same time if we are keeping the full cycle of prayers. We still keep the hours of prayer which I suspect, although I'm not sure, is part of what they were doing in the service in this video.

Yahshua - you know Him as Jesus - was born to a virgin, turned water to wine, taught, healed the sick, raised the dead, casted out demons, walked on water, calmed the storm, and fed a crowd of thousands with a few fish and a few loaves of bread, among many other things. He was killed on the cross as payment for the sins of all mankind, three days later He rose from the dead. Forty days later He ascended into heaven where He sits at the right hand of the Father. He is returning very soon, but before He does, Satan, the devil, is coming to pretend to be Jesus/God (2 Thessalonians 2:1-4). Satan is an angel, and he will have certain supernatural powers with which to try to fool everyone. He will, for example, be able to make fire come down from heaven in the sight of men. He will only be on earth a short time before the real King of Kings, Jesus Christ, God in the flesh, returns. When the real Jesus comes we will all be transformed into our spiritual bodies at the same moment. Jesus came in the flesh to offer forgiveness of sins and eternal life to anyone who believes and calls on His precious name! if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. - - - Romans 10:9 Now when Jesus was in Bethany, in the house of Simon the leper, There came unto him a woman having an alabaster box of very precious ointment, and poured it on his head, as he sat at meat. But when his disciples saw it, they had indignation, saying, To what purpose is this waste? For this ointment might have been sold for much, and given to the poor. When Jesus understood it, he said unto them, Why trouble ye the woman? for she hath wrought a good work upon me. For ye have the poor always with you; but me ye have not always. For in that she hath poured this ointment on my body, she did it for my burial. Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached in the whole world, there shall also this, that this woman hath done, be told for a memorial of her. - Matthew 26:6-13 Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.... To anoint your self, the sick, or a building for spiritual protection: Get a small bottle of olive oil and pour off a small amount into a smaller vessel like a vial or baby food jar. Use the rest of the bottle for cooking. Ask the Lord to bless your vial of oil in Jesus name. Anoint yourself with the oil by placing a dab of oil on tip of finger and touch it to your forehead, and ask the Lord to bless you/heal you. Place a dab of oil on your finger and anoint the door posts and order all negativity and evil out of the house, and order that nothing negative or evil can enter into your home including piggybacking on a person entering, order it to be so in the name of Jesus. Anoint all potential entrances to your home. To anoint the sick, place oil on tip of finger and touch it to the head of the sick and say a prayer of healing over them in Jesus name. Jesus Talks With a Samaritan Woman John 4:1-26 Now Jesus learned that the Pharisees had heard that he was gaining and baptizing more disciples than John- 2 although in fact it was not Jesus who baptized, but his disciples. 3 So he left Judea and went back once more to Galilee. 4 Now he had to go through Samaria. 5 So he came to a town in Samaria called Sychar, near the plot of ground Jacob had given to his son Joseph. 6 Jacob’s well was there, and Jesus, tired as he was from the journey, sat down by the well. It was about noon. 7 When a Samaritan woman came to draw water, Jesus said to her, “Will you give me a drink?” 8 (His disciples had gone into the town to buy food.) 9 The Samaritan woman said to him, “You are a Jew and I am a Samaritan woman. How can you ask me for a drink?” (For Jews do not associate with Samaritans.[a]) 10 Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water.” 11 “Sir,” the woman said, “you have nothing to draw with and the well is deep. Where can you get this living water? 12 Are you greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well and drank from it himself, as did also his sons and his livestock?” 13 Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, 14 but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” 15 The woman said to him, “Sir, give me this water so that I won’t get thirsty and have to keep coming here to draw water.” 16 He told her, “Go, call your husband and come back.” 17 “I have no husband,” she replied. Jesus said to her, “You are right when you say you have no husband. 18 The fact is, you have had five husbands, and the man you now have is not your husband. What you have just said is quite true.” 19 “Sir,” the woman said, “I can see that you are a prophet. 20 Our ancestors worshiped on this mountain, but you Jews claim that the place where we must worship is in Jerusalem.” 21 “Woman,” Jesus replied, “believe me, a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem. 22 You Samaritans worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know, for salvation is from the Jews. 23 Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. 24 God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.” 25 The woman said, “I know that Messiah” (called Christ) “is coming. When he comes, he will explain everything to us.” 26 Then Jesus declared, “I, the one speaking to you-I am He.”

Yo do realize that Judaism predates Islam and Christianity? The prophet Muhammad (May peace be upon him) started Islam as a reformation to get what was a majority pagan civilization in the Arabian Gulf to become monotheistic. He borrowed certain ideologies and cultural/religious practices from both Jews and Christians. For example, the practice of wearing a veil was adopted from the Christian female elite of Damascus.
Of course there are similarities between true monotheistic religions, Muslims, Jews, Samaritans and Unitarian christians, the prophets and the apostles of God prayed and worship like that. In contrast the pagan influenced european christians that believe in a triune god, never can prostate themselves to the Almighty creator and instead worship with live bands in their churches even dancing like they're in a night club while their men and boys lay eye on females because they don't segregate sexes thus committing adultery and premarital sex during prayer and worship of their trinity.

@@davejimmi243 The original Israelite worship mode actually included some forms of dancing, playing music and singing. But the Holy Temple's destruction drastically changed this. Secondly, until early Medeival times Jews mostly didn't segregate the genders in worship. And up to the modern era the Qaraite Jews would relegate the females to the sanctuary's rear part, but not place them behind a wall or even some portable partitionץ

[...] just as they [...] and make others like themselves, while others simply exist. The slave seeks only to be free, but he does not hope to acquire the estate of his master. But the son is not only a son but lays claim to the inheritance of the father. Those who are heirs to the dead are themselves dead, and they inherit the dead. Those who are heirs to what is living are alive, and they are heirs to both what is living and the dead. The dead are heirs to nothing. For how can he who is dead inherit? If he who is dead inherits what is living he will not die, but he who is dead will live even more.

I visited the Samaritan community during my first visit to Israel in the early 90s. It looks like it has changed a bit through the years. More buildings. It is amazing to see this ancient community continuing to thrive. Thank you for documenting this.
The sound of unison prayers almost vibrates, loved it. Thank you so much for this experience.
Appreciate that you appreciate it
Vibration is reminiscent of prayers of Buddhist monks. On the other hand, such prayers (where many people recite the same prayers at the same time) actually sound like summoning demons. 😇👻👀
It sounds similar to a Coptic midnight service. Copts transformed the Ancient Egyptian religion into Christianity so that is very interesting.

Love to our Samaritian brothers and sisters, from Kiryat Shmona 🇮🇱
These r not ur brothers, these r Palestinians belong to this land not like u foreigner settler occupier.

That’s pretty cool. Have you ever visited the Karaite community? That would be an interesting video to see as well.
@@y.l7455 So, if they ae ethnically Jewish and practice the Jewish religion then that's good enough for me

Being so close to Nablus, the lights would be necessary. The Palestinians accept the Samaritans, but it is still a way to get "into" Israel.

Now when Jesus was in Bethany, in the house of Simon the leper, There came unto him a woman having an alabaster box of very precious ointment, and poured it on his head, as he sat at meat. - Matthew 26:6-13

Jesus Talks With a Samaritan Woman
John 4:1-26 Now Jesus learned that the Pharisees had heard that he was gaining and baptizing more disciples than John- 2 although in fact it was not Jesus who baptized, but his disciples.
7 When a Samaritan woman came to draw water, Jesus said to her, “Will you give me a drink?” 8 (His disciples had gone into the town to buy food.)
9 The Samaritan woman said to him, “You are a Jew and I am a Samaritan woman. How can you ask me for a drink?” (For Jews do not associate with Samaritans.[a])
10 Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water.”
11 “Sir,” the woman said, “you have nothing to draw with and the well is deep. Where can you get this living water? 12 Are you greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well and drank from it himself, as did also his sons and his livestock?”
13 Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, 14 but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”
15 The woman said to him, “Sir, give me this water so that I won’t get thirsty and have to keep coming here to draw water.”
16 He told her, “Go, call your husband and come back.”
17 “I have no husband,” she replied.
Jesus said to her, “You are right when you say you have no husband. 18 The fact is, you have had five husbands, and the man you now have is not your husband. What you have just said is quite true.”
19 “Sir,” the woman said, “I can see that you are a prophet. 20 Our ancestors worshiped on this mountain, but you Jews claim that the place where we must worship is in Jerusalem.”
21 “Woman,” Jesus replied, “believe me, a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem. 22 You Samaritans worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know, for salvation is from the Jews. 23 Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. 24 God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.”
25 The woman said, “I know that Messiah” (called Christ) “is coming. When he comes, he will explain everything to us.”
26 Then Jesus declared, “I, the one speaking to you-I am He.”

"Shalom Shalom" is a Muslim with a deep disrespect of Judaism.
I first encountered his comments that insut the intelligence perhaps 7 years ago.
It’s seems similar to Islamic prayers
Of course there are similarities between true monotheistic religions, Muslims, Jews, Samaritans and Unitarian christians, the prophets and the apostles of God prayed and worship like that. In contrast the pagan influenced european christians that believe in a triune god, never can prostate themselves to the Almighty creator and instead worship with live bands in their churches even dancing like they're in a night club while their men and boys lay eye on females because they don't segregate sexes thus committing adultery and premarital sex during prayer and worship of their trinity.
@@davejimmi243 and Orthodox Christians. You are describing modern day Protestant evangelicals. Historical, Orthodox Christians do not worship that way. The service in this video is very similar to how Orthodox Christians worship. Please expand your knowledge and don't make sweeping generalizations.

It seems you're Christian (snooped a bit with your subscriptions) but other denominations like Catholic and Orthodox does this too (I'm a non-Catholic Christian in Catholic majority Philippines so I'm quite familiar about this way of prayer).
Let me correct you! Judea and Samaria belong to the Jewish people since the days of the Tanach. To say that the place is occupied Palestinian territory is a lie and cheap propaganda.
If Isaac AS (Ishaq AS) bought Hagar back to Palestine to unite with Ibrahim AS, after Sarah passed away, giving her the right to live in Palestine in the Torah, why do pro zionists jews and christians not think palestinians have a right to live in palestine?
Reality Isrealis pro zionist do not follow the Prophets but follow the lesser Rabbis over their Torah.

You went to pray with the Samaritans and a printed T-shirt was the most respectful garb you could come up with? Maaan
I think they look 95% the same the way muslims doing Dhikr (islamic meditation that is usually done after 5 times-a day prayer)
This is the prayer of the Jews of Babylon, and Babylon is the home of Sufism and spirituality. It has the oldest school of religious singing. When the Muslims occupied Babylon, they took and added a lot to the Islamic religion, which suits the Bedouins very much, and it still does.
❤❤❤❤nice video
So that's means muslims nations copying the way Jewish and Christians Prayer and worship and also the way Jewish Christians dressed up the in Old Testament & New Testament.
Amazing to see Jewish & Christians roods as worshiping the same God Almighty.

@@omarlittle-hales8237 this is pure bullshit, this is the Islamic narrative. Quran was written by someone from the desert who tried to guess everything. There are literally Jewish script that go back before ad, islam is corrupt. Your Islam is fake
We don’t copy, we all have the same origins. We believe in the same Prophets (peace be upon them) and just continue the original practices that early Jews and Christians also used to stick to (ways of prayer, modesty etc). We also all believe in the same God, but Christians also believe in the trinity while the Muslim/Jewish concept of God is pretty much identical. Have a nice day :)

A Bad Word Is Akin To A Tree, With It's Roots Uprooted, Decaying And Dead.

Xtians today don't pray or dress like this. Muslims and Jews have the same roots and the same God. Xtians have 3 Gods.
Can I ask a dumb question from a Judeo-Christian who has been searching out my Hebrew Roots?!
My question is aren’t certain things like walking for more than 15-20 feet prohibited on Shabbat? I was just curious. I’m genuinely interested in learning about my Jewish Ancestry & the origins of my Faith! Why couldn’t you film Moishe, but you could film yourself? Why did the Samaritan’s allow you to film their Synagogue Proceedings? I just was introduced to this other guy on TH-cam, who has a podcast & lives in & is actually a Samaritan in the place where you’re at in this video! After watching his channel I find I have even more questions! LOL!!! The reason I feel this urgent need to know everything about my Faith is simple. I’m going to spend ETERNITY with God & All His Chosen!!! I wanna know all I can about you all!!! I admit I am 60 years old & only submitted my life to our Lord Jesus/ Yeshua 25 years ago, so I’m at a disadvantage to those who were born into the Faith. I’m also proud to say that my Family are All Saved & my Grandsugars are the first Generation Born into the Family of Faith, raised in the Light of our Lord!!! So, if you don’t mind , could you answer my questions? Thank you for your consideration ! ❤ from Texas, USA! Shalom!!!
It is dumb, like the people who believe one must spend the entire Shabbat in their bed.
The Samaritans are the FINAL Glimpse of how the 12 Tribes of Yakob, Dressed, Prayed and Ritualised!
This FINAL glimpse of the TRADITIONS of YAKOB, are today continued on by the MUSLIMS, who Dress the same. Who PROSTRATE the same, just like MOSES, EZRA and JESUS did, in the Garden of Getsomony!
SO, why DON'T the EUROPEAN Jews who started 'Judaism' in 1769AD, and sized PALESTINE in 1948, FOLLOW the CORRECT ancient traditions of the real Jews like the Samaritans, and wear White Arab Robes, and then PROSTRATE to the Ground?
INSTEAD of the European HEAD BANGING ritual at the Western Wall in Jerusalem, which is NOT in the Torah!
Follow the last remaining JEWS, the Samaritans, and there will be peace!
FOLLOW the CORRECT way.
That of the SAMARITANS!
the Orthodox Christians do the same, with some minor differences
@@gregcoogan8270
There needs to be ZERO differences, especially in the ritual of PROSTRATION where you must 'fall on your face' and touch the GROUND using your forehead!
Like Jesus, in the Garden of Getsonomy , where Jesus fell on his face and prayed to GOD all night!
That is the WAY ALL the PROPHETS of GOD WORSHIPPED their GOD!
And there is a difference between 'Praying' and asking for help, AND Worshipping GOD!
@@Sal.0 huh? what the heck are you talking about? If the Samaritans do prostrations, and Orthodox Christians do prostrations, then we are prostrating. Please, write about what you KNOW about, not what you don't. And try to actually READ first what I wrote, before reacting.
@@gregcoogan8270
"with some minor differences", are those your words or NOT?
Abd IF there are differences, THEN it means it is NOT the same as the Samaritans!
AND if you are a 'christian' albeit orthodox, then YOUR role model is JESUS. Therefore PROSTRATE like Jesus, in the Garden of Getsonomy!
SIMPLE ENGLISH!
SO what are you 'exploding' about??
@@Sal.0 Because we PROSTRATE in Orthodox worship, and "similar" in English does not mean "identical"!!!! I never said we were carbon copies, I said we were very similar. I'm exploding because you are accusing me of things I never said. Do not lecture me on English, that is my native language, a language that is obviously not your native language! Go watch a video of Orthodox Christians worshiping, and go read a book!
