The fact that this was off the cuff, just two guitar nerds hanging out, was awesome... I'd love to have more long-format fly-on-the-wall content like this!

It's funny with those BadCat amps. Steven Wilson has been using them for years but it seems like they only started getting recognition/use in the modern metal community. Great stuff!
Cool video Ola. I live in Ottawa, Canada, and I can say you have way more snow than us this winter. Our winter has been unsually mild and dry. Makes me mad to think I fork 450.00 dollars for snow removal. We haven't had a snow fall since mid January.
Picking up a Les Paul, Strat or Tele is something that I've come to understand in recent years. I've got my 7 string Ibanez guitar tuned to Drop G# but whenever I use my Strat everything sounds more amazing, more Rock 'n' Roll and kind of better to get great tones that work in the mix. But then again, if I try to use my Ibanez, it might sound better or less noisy, but something is lost. I've been thinking about adding less gain, more treble, and more things in order to gain the "dirt" that music had long ago.
Mark is awesome guy. His style of playing is very interesting to me. Regarding simple old guitars - I do not agree that they are the best. I have an LP and a Solar 7 with evertune. I much prefer the Solar for its tuning stability, lighweight, upper frets access and sound for lower tunings. Also I find 7 string setup superior to drop tunings. I would like to have a thinner neck but whatever, the price was good :) LP is much better for blues for sure.
