    Also to add the komodo dragon salivates as a defense that can also be used offensively because its saliva is poisonous so not only will anyone tailing it possibly get poisoned but all it takes is a bite and the komodo will stalk until it sees its prey go down eventually and then go in for dinner

      It's venom, not poison. Venom needs to enter the bloodstream to be effective, but it's perfectly safe to get on your skin or even drink, so long as you don't have any open wounds.
      The venom also isn't really deadly. The bite itself does most of the work, as monitor lizards have razor sharp teeth. Crocodiles have large conical teeth intended to grab, but monitor lizards are the exact opposite. Their teeth go straight through flesh, severing tendons and arteries with massive blood loss as a result. The venom in their saliva causes intense pain, but also causes a drop in blood pressure. When you're losing blood at an alarming rate and your blood pressure drops, you can enter a hypovolemic shock. Your heart can't pump enough blood around your body, and your body stops functioning. In most cases, you just collapse and fall unconscious, but sometimes you stay conscious. You can't really do anything though, as you're barely even aware of what's going.
      The venom on it's own really isn't dangerous, although plenty painful. The venom itself is pretty simple, nowhere near as complex or dangerous as the proteins in snake venom. When combined with the Komodo dragon's bite, it becomes life threatening. Although to be fair, just the bite itself is already life threatening.

      Calling a reptile poisonous, let alone the Komodo Dragon. It really irritator's me.

      @@joost1120 It's not like it rips a hole that has you bleed to death in seconds, its just that the venom prevents clotting, so over time that small wound that should've stopped bleeding in a couple minutes is still there while you're near dead the next morning

    Fun fact Cats aren't really domesticated. They kinda just decided to live with humans one day and have been since, but they are fully wild animals. They also kill more animals than you think they do, even the ones living in your house.

    • @YerpDerp17
      @YerpDerp17 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      I've also heard that if you pass away in your house that most cats will start to eat you within and hour or two. Cats only don't kill us because they simply can't, but given the chance they'd pounce. lol

    TierZoo does have a video on cats but I will admit you can tell it's one of his older videos (like 5 years ago), still great but he has definitely upped his production quality in the years since that video was released. I guess if we're talking older videos I can recommend "When Earth Was In Beta" which is pretty neat.

    Actually we still do have things as huge as some of those creatures you said would make you not wanna go outside anymore. lol Look up Horseshoe Crabs. If you flip them over they literally look like big ass bugs with a shell on top since they're closer to a scorpion/spider than a crab in terms of relatives, they predate dinos and have basically not changed since they spawned here. They're harmless though, they just kinda mind their own business it seems. lol The Goliath Birdeater Tarantula is also another creature that's huge as hell, can get as large as a dinner plate in leg span!
