Remember albedo trailer narrated by Dainslief? In the end of the trailer he said he'll keep an eye for Albedo should albedo loose control, with that I conclude that Albedo is sus. lol
Every Collected Miscellanies are narrated by Dainsleif, except one that is narrated by Diluc, if I remember correctly Edit: I misunderstood the way you phrased your comment, my bad
I am super late but remember Albedo said to probably us, the player, “If I lose control, can I rely on you to stop me?” Meaning he probably knows he’s going to lose control at some point. I forgot where I saw this but it was him talking maybe character trailer idk. This is just a theory and I may sound really stupid. Also some Genshin voice lines are really important to the lore and give little details such as Venti saying the fruit on celestia is bitter and says if they ever invite me to a party there I wouldn’t go, and if celestia is a place/home for the Gods why wouldn’t you want to be there? Back to Albedo, maybe that voice line is important for the future of Mondstadt? Idk tho this may not be logical and this is just a thought I came up with. Thank you for reading.
I think he said it in his story quest, at first glance i thought I read it wrong but I double check he really said something about “destroying mondstat”, I hope nothing bad will happen on him cuz I like him a lot 😢
@@teateakira5971 k shooting a little far but maybe its like how h2o2(mostly used in labs to clean the glass stuff)is not actually nice to drink, and how the impurities(added minerals, salts and stuff) both give taste to the water, just as how different impurities can make said water deadly.Rambling here but maybe its a _pure is safe but nowhere near as good as the impure_
I think he’s a homunculus ^^ Well, his skill does state that anyway If I remember correctly, the Genshin lore wiki explains a bit of Gold, and there’s a saying “Chalk pursues Gold”. Chalk resembles Albedo and Gold is the alchemist who… contributes to Khaen’riah’s destruction, I think?
Hang on... if constellation tells a story in almost chronological order as evidenced by the timeline we see in Albedo's constellations as explained by you, is it safe to say all characters follow the same format? Such as being able to interpret how Kaeya will behave as a Khaenriah royalty (debatable) by looking at his C6, or read about Beidou's grilling efforts of killing Haishan without a vision from C1 to C6. Hmm. A food for thought. I'm gonna look at Zhongli's and Venti's constellation titles now and see if it details their life story before they came to be who they were ฅ'ω'ฅ because seriously, Mihoyo puts so much effort into constellations and i know for a fact that people used Kaeya's C1 or something as proof he had the blood of Khaenriah royalty, not just the commom citizen who somehow survived or didn't turn into a monster.
Remember the Unreconciled Stars event, it said that someone’s constellation was causing the meteors. They most likely do correlate to the character’s story!!
I swear if Albedo doenst have a chapter 2 to his story quest. Im gonna lose my minddd. His lore is so good! Mihoyo cant just leave it at that opening ending😭
Something I feel might be important in the future is the star on Albedo's neck. It's the same type of star that both the travellers, Paimon, Dainsleif and Kaeya have (kiiiinda Childe as well if you count that weird split in his jacket as half of one). It might just be a symbol for Khaenri'ah, but I feel like there's something more to it - if it's just their flag then I feel like it'd be somewhere on all of the ruin enemies. Maybe it's like an inverse death flag? Like they're all characters that'll most likely be important in the story's climax.
miHoYo has used that star before in previous games, like the Herrscher of the End in GGZ who basically kills everyone and resets the world (see her yellow star earrings and wings) I guess they have something related to catastrophe in mihoyo games.
i disagree with the childe one but at the same time i agree. i doubt it actually has anything to do with the star thing and just serves as his style (cause honestly i wouldnt wanna be sweating in the middle of a battle anyway) but if it really does symbolize catastrophe then it'll make sense as to why its only half the star on him. he was a pawn in trying to drown liyue harbor and could be seen as bringing catastrophe but no big catastrophe actually happened. then theres that he is an incredibly gray character, being neither good nor bad and that could also be why its only half
@@renoirrr Yeah, looking at it again Childe was a bit of a stretch. I feel like it's odd that he's got that opening in his coat considering where he's from, but then again iirc Liyue is warm and humid so it probably isn't his regular clothing. I think one of his stories mentions he fell into the Abyss as a teen and that's where he got Foul Legacy and his battle hunger from, but I can't remember if that's canon or a fan theory I heard somewhere. That could also have something to do with it I guess? His actual name (Ajax) suggests that he'll be important in some part of the story and sets up a possible death flag, but I think that might be more to do with The Tsaritsa and the Fatui instead of the Abyss Order. Maybe for the Snezhnaya archon quest or something.
If Venti has his suspicions of Albedo, I wonder if Zhongli does as well but still counts him as human enough to deserve a vision. At that point, what's the threshold of beings viable for vision wielding? 🤔
@@VanellamonSpring maybe Gold had the power to create actual functioning visions, which in turn became the reason why the Gods got pissed off in the first place.
@@kokomipog I'm going off of the assumption that yes. Especially with there not being any new electro characters...at all. Coincidence, I think not. 👀 👀
Albedo (pronounced /ælˈbiːdoʊ/; Latin: albedo, meaning 'whiteness') is the measure of the diffuse reflection of solar radiation out of the total solar radiation and measured on a scale from 0, corresponding to a black body that absorbs all incident radiation, to 1, corresponding to a body that reflects all incident radiation.
@@justsomeguywithtb2953 as far as i can tell, albedo is the measurement given to an object relating to its ability to reflect light. a piece of paper, snow, a shiny mirror: all things that are very bright in sunlight and their brightness can be measured with albedo
Not really Lucifer, in Ars Gotia only a single being mentioned Paimon serves Lucifer while others being Demons guide humans in history, culture and science Morax for example is often said to be extremely knowledgeable similar to how Morax in genshin taught people in Liyue to trade
I think you got the wrong religion base. Genshin is based on the religion of Gnosticism. A religion where knowledge = salvation/ perfection, with a twist of the religion where Cthulhu come from (abyss power), where knowledge = madness/corruption/ impending doom. Genshin is based on two very contradicting religion, so I am excited to see how they will develop the story and world building.
@@Uushiine genshin lore takes after real life religion. Plus game devs already put this much effort into basing their game off of irl demonology, so why not dig it out exactly as they intended?
I just wanna say, I think Albedo wants to stay himself but because he knows his purpose or understands what may happen if his creator finds him, he may become something he never wanted to. He’s not just an empty homunculus: he’s curious, he’s creative, and knows if and when that day comes, he would rather have himself destroyed before he destroys his home and friends. I think he himself IS trustworthy, the problem is with his possible fate at the Endgame...
I actually want to believe that Khaenriah is not blameless, people put celestia as 100% villain, sure they are shady governor of the world but following the impact universe logic, celestia might be just preventing another honkai, calamity that can end all teyvat (so khaenriah take the hit) From dain's story it seems even in khaenriah there are separate factions, the one become the abyss (probably like the military/alchemy guild) and the royal family, it is kinda align with dain's action if gold's ambition threat the royalty & khaenriah people, thus dain hunt abyss order. He dislike gods but warn us not to provoke them too, he knows how teyvat works in a sense, he is there to keep the balance between the upper n underworld. Theory where rhinedottir is gold also a bit wonky since she told albedo to pursue the truth & I am sure the truth are not that black and white n as raw as genshin information so far gave us, since Rhinedottir seems have no issue albedo owning vision n stuffs. Rhinedottir created durin but got he corrupted by gold, I want to believe gold is rhinedottir's master & thus rhinedottir created albedo as her magnum opus, a creation she hope will prevail n surpass gold. Sadly, probably albedo know, with wrong step khemia in him can go haywire anytime, he is a creation after all, he can be influenced by outside power, maybe by powerful alchemist, how albedo gonna grow it really is depend on how he interpret the world & for steps he choose.
I always had the feeling the Kheanriah was sus when Dainsleif told us not to trust the gods but not to attack them either. Basically leave them be and don't bother them. Which was weird for a guy who was the royal guard of the destroyed country and should be angry. But he is instead more angry at the Abyss. And given the various war weapons we have seen so far. Their autonomous ruin machines. I can only think they were prepping for war.
@@silverhawkscape2677 i thim it was a blame for both parties, guess dain dislikes the gods for how they massacrated khaenriah, but dislikes how the abyss order attacks inocent people that have nothing to do with og khaenriah. Or maybe he knows the plans of the prince and how well it can absolutely go to a shitfirestorm, eith the whole _hate thr wasps, but dont poke their nests_ analogy with his advice about gods
I also don't believe they are blameless. I've never played honkai but I know the story there is much more complicated. I have a similar theory to yours. I highly believe that kanherai found something celestia tried to hide for the good of it's own people. If kanherai was 100% innocent why would their people, I mean hilichurls attack normal citizens. We also know that the archons (at least venti and zhongli) truly care for their friends and nations so I don't believe it's all just an act.
Do u know what happened to Dragonspine mountain? Have u at least seen the wall mural in the vault containing the snow-tombed starsilver? Celestia towers above the peak of Dragonspine mountain, the people bow to them in reverence as they once flourished on the mountain.
Albedo as an archer would have made him OP. Using his Elem skill along with multiple hits from arrows would mean he can deal so much DMG. Plus the fact that his Elem skill can make plunging attacks easier and give you a good angle for hitting weak spots. Also, a Geo archer would be dope.
Atleast in his original banner He had sucrose,Bennett and fischl Albedo would have been cool as an archer tho May be if hoyoverse make a way to allow characters to canonicaly and ingame run two different type of weapons may be His only major weakness Is that the flower is destructable Hoyoverse should change this
Sun and light is actually also related to his very own name, Albedo in astronomy is: " the proportion of the incident light or radiation that is reflected by a surface, typically that of a planet or moon"
@@ChillwithAster Albedo's lore is very interesting I pulled him cause of that eventhough he wasn't really appreciated at the time and your video is awesome. I don't know if this is anything important for his character, but astronomy and Moons are fundamental in Genshin lore so this connections make him all the more intriguing.
So, albedo could also be a by product, the by product of something biger, and that something biger could be gold, albedo being the by product of gold making themseves "pure" getting rid of his own corrution and puting it on another being, that being albedo, and albedo having this corruption being the thing tbat will probably destroy gold, gold being the last state, citrinitas, or perfection
Genshins main story: 😋 Genshin side quests: 🙂 Genshin lore: 😦 But a serious note here, how much culture and story Genshin can put in such small details is terrifying
i feel like with the introduction of inazuma the main plot got real dark real quick. imagine losing almost all of your memories because something was taken from u, on top of a civil war and (spoiler for pt 2 of the archon quest) traveller literally coming closest to dying we've seen so far, literally getting knocked out and having even me panic seeing paimon in so much distress and fear. admittedly the first dark step was probably the we will be reunited quest where we saw the first offical dead body but now we keep seeing dead hilichurls left and right like on an island in inazuma where were like 5 dead hilichurls being looked down upon by some dude we had to fight. realizing they were dead gave me chills ngl and now thats on top of remembering they were once humans before and right after we became friends and being passive with them during 1.6
Based on the supposed cyclical nature of life in Tevyat, I believe that Celestia operates on a similar cycle. See, i think that Lumine and Aether aren’t just being challenged to see if they are worthy of being the gods, they are actually past versions of the Unknown God that exist constantly within this loop. Every time Celestia is created, the two travelers are expelled in order to see which one is worthy of becoming the Unkown God. However, with Tevyat being in a particularly peaceful moment in its history, and with the people being so worn down by the suffering of the constant cataclysms caused by Celestia, the Traveler we play as will be the final traveler. They will learn something from each Archon that will show them not how to get to their sister, but how to abandon the literal rat race that is their destiny to become the Unknown God. (Barbatos the quest for freedom, Morax the desire to let go of power, Baal the unhealthy nature of insecurity/desire for eternal life, etc.) I just really like time-travel-y stories, and this I feel would be a narratively and metaphorically satisfying way to end this game in like, 10 years. thanks for listening to my TedTalk, I guess…
This is such a valid and amazing point. Why would Aether and Lumine be traveling in the first place if not for this reason? Maybe the god that sealed their powers and sent them to Teyvat caught on to them uncovering more and more of the cyclical nature and don’t want the two to break the cycle. This is part of why I am so invested in Genshin Impact’s story despite how slow it’s been.
which would also explain that one voiceline where Venti questions the traveler, i believe its something along the lines of "Oh, you dont remember me? Oh well, I guess I'll just have to help you again." I dont remember where its from but i swear its in the game/a trailer at some point
And they both don't really like each other yet their origins are connected. But again they're not apart of the same allegiance, their connection with Khaenriah is basically the extent of their common ground. Just like how Dainsleif may be from Khaenriah but he opposes the Abyss Order.
@@lpsquestie3495 He doesn't mention how he directly feels about him, just his view on Albedo's character and popularity. His tone at the end asking if we're into him too, to me, sounds more like an "eye roll" about us also falling for his charisma. I know most took his words at face value and figured he meant that he too is into Albedo but given Kaeya's character, this doesn't make much sense when we know he's very perceptive of people just like Rosaria. He just puts on a facade to get along with everyone and is just tactful when describing people to someone like us/the Traveler but surely he himself knows there's more to Albedo than meets the eye.
All of this just helps fuel my love for Albedo. Honestly, with such an interesting backstory, but lack of lore, the mystery that shrouds him, I highly doubt anyone could possibly hope to replace him as my favorite character. Not only in Genshin Impact, but out of any and everything in general. He is, but isn't. He is corruption, yet also purification. Creation, yet science. There's so much about Albedo that solidifies his spot as #1 for me. Thank you for making this video. There are so many points that you made that have been floating around in my mind for months. Everything I had failed to conjure up words for, you have seamlessly executed. This video not only helps map out many things I had in theory, but helps me convey said theories to friends. You've earned a new subscriber.
I think it's all a misunderstanding. at least on lumines side(I play aether) on why the archons destroyed kaenri'ah. didn't gold create a bunch of monsters and stuff , not sure if the humans were turned to monsters themselves due to the experiment or archons, maybe they tried stopping the chaos but in the end they just concluded that blasting it was the best option. interesting theories tho. i also heard someone tied the dust on guizong even to albedo.
I feel like celestia never intended to nuke khaen out of spite, definitely not out of jealousy or stopping human ambition of course, but rather making sure that the corruption doesnt spread. But i wonder since we dont know what personality the other 5 original archons are there may be 2 possibilities 1. The corruption from gold was what yeeted the people of khaen in the first place into the abyss. Like celestia destroyed it but gold already did the damage 2. It *was* out of punishment for human ambition and the disregard of divinity. human ambition at the time of the war would have been seen as Blashphemous because the gods were fighting for dominion. It would make sense why theyd nuke a place that wont bend to their will as a show of power And if that place was corrupted, then ruling over it would be deemed as heathenous. But since we dont know what kind of gods the other 5 were, it's difficult to say In all honesty. all we know is that depending on the answer, Venti and Zhongli will either be redeemed or heavily criticized once the truth gets revealed in future updates 😭
we should not forget another theory at this point, the fight against khaenria was 500 years ago, at this point, there were at most 3 original archons: freedom, contract, wood, the newest archon is dendro, god of wisdom is 500years an archon, so the og archon of dendro probably fell in the fight. the tsaritsa changed 500years ago as venti said, he doesnt recognize her anymore since something happened. and there is the theory about the King's gnosis, the 8th, which can control the seven others, so the 7 archons might have been forced to fight against khaenria, which led the tsaritsa to get rid of the gnosises and therefor the possibility of being controlled against their will (the pawns are the vision holders, if a pawn reaches the end of the board, it can ascend, like a vision holder can ascend to celestia)
The Unknown god's "the arrogation of mankind ends now" line is more than likely a reference to khaenri'ah ,you can see the presence of her cubes during the flashback to the catastrophe that happened 500 years ago in the "we will be reunited " trailer, khaenri'ah was an advanced underground civilization completely built by the hands of humans,it was a nation free from the hands of celestia, their weapons were made specifically for defense against their enemies ,the ruin guard in stormterror's lair is facing toward celestia, with the evidence we have it appears that they "opposed" celestia and were punished because of it,they attempted to create more and more powerful beings with khemia and it seems that the corruption they've created was stopped by celestia
@@ChillwithAster It fits in a way with how honkai herschers work, they appear when human civilization has advanced too much for their own good, the they appear and wipe all the civilization out and they go away untill humanity advances too much again.its my theory that genshin archons are herschers
@@Crystalwizardtrue no, either Celestia is the one with Herrschers, or Celestia stops civilization in advance to prevent the strengthening of Houkai. The Archons don't seem proud of Khaenri'ahn fall, given the lack of ever bringing it up. Also, the Herrschers that destroy humanity generally feel straight up fond of destroying. Here we have 2000 and 6000 year old Archons who either chill and sleep or go rule a region pretty damn well for eons. The Archons being Herrschers won't fit, unless they're Herrschers who have control of themselves. But if they DO have control... Why attack Khaenri'ah? They should be able to handle if another Herrscher is formed
I feel like Festering Desire (the purple sword) will play a part in turning Albedo into that weekly boss. Why else would he entrust the Traveler that sword if not to prevent himself from transforming? I feel that prolonged exposure to the remains of Durin could lead to that desire to encroach on Rhinedottir’s homunculus and turn him into something terrifying.
@@rubenlara4029 I would count Festering Desire as an important quest item since Albedo’s story revolves around it. There’s also some quest items that may seem like trophies, but I couldn’t help but feel that these items that seemingly have no purpose will be essential in the later stages of the game. I would count FD as significant based on the fact that in contains fragments of Durin which has heavy ties to Albedo’s story.

albedo does breath, there just was no warm air coming out of his mouth. i thought that might be bc he has a lower body temperature since he isnt human, but if its fixed, my theory vanishes into dust
I've seen a lot of theories about Albedo, but this is the most interesting this far, most theories feels like they only tell a little about him, yours seems to fully understand. You should totally get more views !
I watched many lore videos of about this topic, but your take and the depth of your research was incredible. So good to watch. So good to listen. A train of thought that keeps you engaged all the time. Your videos are awesome
"If one day I lose control, destroy mondstad, destroy everything can I rely on you to stop me " and whenever I go to dragonspine with albedo he always says shishou(master)
Khaenria must have some kind of deeper connection with the anemo archon. There's kaeya who's theorized to be a khaenrian Royalty, albedo who was created from arts coming from there, we met dansleif in mond. There's no sign in liyue of anything pointing to khaneria as blatantly as mondstadt does. Perhaps that's why he's also the weakest, he somehow goes against celestia's principles by homing those from khaneria
I think this is just because Mondstadt is a city of freedom, easier to infiltrate in, and Venti is always idle and didn't manage the city directly. While, the other nations god is currently present, controlling and watching the flow of their nation in the scene (Baal) or behind the scene (Zhongli). However I also think there's a possibility thT there are deep history that connects between Mondstadt and Khaenriah.
Jeez Albedo is probably one of the most complex and suspicious characters we’ve encountered. If you think about it, why would Mihoyo release Albedo right after Zhongli? They’re smart; they know that releasing two of the same element back to back would gut sales. I don’t really know the answer to this. We do know Zhongli was present at the destruction of Khaenriah… how are the two related? What do contracts have to do with alchemy? Is Albedo somehow equivalent to the geo archon?
According to the Raiden Shogun voice lines, the Archons are not responsible for giving or denying a being’s access to Vision. So how Albedo got his Vision does not necessarily relate to Zhongli.
Aaa i'm late, great theory tho! But for the whole video, I was just listening to your theory while simping for albedo, I mean, he's just so beautiful how can I not-
12:45 that line One of the last lines of the event It brings so much questions related to Gold, Durin, Rhinedottirand Albedo Also, I feel like he will be stopped before or during his corruption by the traveler, Sucrose, Timaeus, Klee and other characters like Lisa, who knows how dangerous the cost of knowledge can be. He's not alone, he has friends abd family to help him. It might be the reason why his master made him join Alice's family Maybe she knew it would help him to walk the path Gold took 500 years ago, but without doing the same fatal mistakes
I don't think he will die I have a theory that the reason why albedo was created is to get revenge for Khaenri'ah so the alchemist "gold" is probably albedo's master she wanted to get revenge for what happened to Khaenri'ah But hey that's just a theory a game theory!!!!!!
@@hyperkazmii134 I mean, it’s not wrong thing to do that lmao… I do play for multiple reasons; stories, adventure and hanging out with my friend. But seeing Albedo appearing in his own Act and events do give me happiness and even more motivation to play ówò what’s wrong with simping?
Great theory! I've heard plenty of other ones but how you did so much resurch and explained it so nicely. I goes right a long with my own theory I feel like this could be added to my own headcanon
You're literally my favourite Genshin theorist. I'm now binge watching your videos and I'm excited to watch more, your voice is so soothing and you're so amazing.
For some reason, I can tell that he cares for klee. So if he ever tried to destroy mondstat and he saw her in trouble he would maybe try and save her? Either that or that would be when we get introduced to Alice, klees mother. As she is known as a powerful sorceress, someone of a powerful race. Maybe she someone who knows of Albedo's destiny and is trying to help him steer from it. Since Mona is apparently quite good friends with Alice I could see how they may work together to keep him from his "destiny"
Well, Sumeru will be the nation of wisdom and knowledge. So Albedos rerun and story (?) might be the key to get us closer to the next nation - he might also play a big role during the "Chasm" storyline.
I remember that it was mentioned that dendro archon died 500 years ago, meaning that they possibly fell in battle during the khaenri'ah catastrophe,it seems that there are possibilities for this

albedo is one of my favorite characters i had a vague understanding of his influences and inspirations but its wonderful to hear a deep dive into the character
I'll post my theory here too: I think Albedo is the same type of creation as Raiden. A puppet made from Khaen'ria's technology/alchemy that mainly follows orders from their master as their goals. You can read about how Albedo's life mainly revolved around taking tasks and meeting his master's expectations before being sent to Monstadt. Ei used Khaenrian technology to create Raiden, and Rhinedottir (Albedo's master) was most likely from Khaen'ria based on her nordic name. (Same with Dansleif). Snow also reminds Albedo of his master (see voice over on "snow"). When Albedo talks about accidentally destroying everything, and Dansleif having to keep and eye on Albedo in case he missteps, I think it refers to breaking the heavenly principles. Khaen'ria and a lot of other nations that has been exceptionally progressive in technology and alchemy, has somehow broken the heavenly principles, thus resulting in Celestia destroying the nation. I have a feeling Albedo's work might tread close to this, which is why Dansleif is holding an eye out for his behaviour. Albedo, also being from Khaen'ria or having at least heard about this from his master, probably knows this as well.
This is super good, I wanna add onto this with the a thought I had with Albedo, the fall of Khaenriah, and the gods.. We know that Khaenriah was a powerful Nation, and that ruin guards were called farm Tillers or crop Tillers, etc. But.. Because they are warm machines, they might've been spilling a lot of human blood, and throwing the balance of the world in chaos with slavery, blood of innocent and Albedo was one of the ultimate weapons, the gods find out and most likely against their will were forced to kill and destroy all of it and not just those who posed major threats. The gods literally are unable to talk about it, like Venti and Zhongli (as he is the god on contracts, ik people are mad but I've also brought in that if they tell what happens their entire civilizations, and the people they protect will be slaughtered, or ruin, etc. And be forced to kill them with their own hands or something. Idk. The gods didn't have a choice) It was called the treasure of humanity, but to become powerful and godless.. Many were probably killed, and more. Nobody was innocent in this most likely, blood on everyone's hands, like Danslief most people will become completely indebted to their countries and because he was a guard, he might've not known the dark secrets that they did behind closed doors or it was for the cause, etc. Until later when he met up with the twin, he doesn't like what the gods did but he also knows that his homee wasn't the best either. Who knows, the gods having no choice because they were becoming a threat.. But celestia/the final god wanted to end it because they were so close or learned of forbidden knowledge that they believed they shouldn't and forced the gods to kill and keep their mouth shut. Or something like that is what I like to believe
I cannot even imagine how much time and work was put into this extravagant documentary. Thank you for your work, I will share this with as many people as i can...
There's further evidence as of 2.2 that Albedo is deeply connected to Gold. The rifthound claw materials' description lists "Cretaceus," as in Albedo's constellation/title, as "the greatest work of them all" compared to multiple creatures that were created by Gold(specifically Rifthounds, designated "Alfisol," and Durin, designated "Humus," both of which have designations that are types of soil). So either Gold created Albedo, or someone who has studied and surpassed Gold's techniques did.
Do one on keaya his last step on his constellation used to say he would be the prince of khanrea (misspelled) dilucs last constellation says “ flaming sword nemesis of the dark” who is dilucs nemesis?
This is a possibility seeing how the story progresses while traveler tries finding there sibling the sibling improves and by the time we get to Snezenaya we might have to unite everyone (fighters like the knights from each of the new areas) and fight a massive war where will get the answers if the Kaeya royalty theory is true we might even have a bigger conflict like will Albedo and Kaeya unite and be the hope Kh’naria needs to come back or will they go against there fate to save Monstadt.
Learned more than in the class, thanks. Btw this sounds like a horror movie with the music; It was really nice If I ever had a project like this video I would just dump it 10/10
Wow that first line hit me like a tonne of bricks. I've been devouring lore and it never clicked that Albedo is the forbidden act that condemned Khaenri'ah
I consider Albedo similar to scaramoche in a way. If Ei could do something like this, it would make sense Gold would copy this. Both are puppets with souls essentially. It could also be the other way around thinking about how old Ei and Gold ( Alice?) are individually. Other than Dain, she is the only person who spoke in the trailers. I remember her talking about Aloy.
So like. Albedo is a fancy forbidden ruin guard made specifically for Mondstadt and if the gods didn’t step in there would have been one person for each nation? And if Khanri’ah were to succeed they would have taken down all other nations and reigned supreme? Thus toppling the hierarchy of reign of the gods and celestia?
"from a time of blackening comes a process in which perfection is attained" very similar 2 the idea from Yu Yu Hakusho where Itsuki explains his motivation 4 letting Sensui fall into depravity. "Sensui's soul must follow its true course. drop ink on the finest snow white paper and it will inevitably absorb into black. its purity demands it. tainted men have immunities, black does not absorb black. Sensui's change is but proof of his perfection and you can not stop him. the ability to do so would show purity did not exist. Purity is worth the world and worth it ending."
From the already existing Characters for me Albedo is the most mysterious one and the one i want more about the most. I hope his second story Quest will be interesting!
Wow, the depth of research you've put into this...it's simply amazing. How do you even find this much information? How do you even know where to look? How do you know which sources to choose from? (This is coming from a human of curiosity that has troubling researching simple questions)
based from her story, the purpose for all her experiments was to make a fairy-tale like wonderland in honor of her past friendships. Chaotic Entropy would probably mean about her way of experimenting. She likes to mix this and that without much thought and it's only when she gets different result/s where she asks herself "why" and/or "how". and when nothing happens, when there's no chaotic unpredictable result, no hows and whys, it becomes torture to her. she'd love some chaotic entropy at most of the time so she can have a better understanding leading to her goal which may mean she will pick something out of anything just to take a closer look at it i mean, look at her burst lol. **breathes in** ANEMO HYPOSTASIS SIMULATION

In my opinion one of the best and at the same time most overlooked aspects of miHoYo's storytelling (including character design and backgrounds) is how unrestrained and downright ruthless they are when it comes to how far they are willing to go into the proverbial abyss. Almost every character is driven by some kind of torment, trauma, loss or the sense of their impending demise and just because miHoYo's games are outwardly dressed up in a bright and vivid appearance, all of these pre-destinies will be vivisected mercilessly in due time.
I think Albedo is just like Baal- eternal. He lives to seek the truths of the world and follow his master's orders, but in reality, his master's order might not have an endpoint or goal, just so that he can exist without the fear of dying. But since he knows all creation happens from destruction, he has already predicted that he will get a new form of life when the current capacity of his human form is exceeded, maybe he will ascend to Celestia, become a god and that might be the place where he will finally reunite with his master and create a new Khanneriah with her, but before that happens, he has to get destroyed, but with all the powers he has accumulated for we don't know how many years, it will never be peaceful, much like how Durin met his fate. That's the reason he wants the traveler to stop him because he knows his powers can only be matched by the other non-human creature like the traveler, who can slay the biggest of dragons and beasts. One other similarity I noticed between Baal and Albedo is that they both are emotionless while they are doing daily life work, their real emotions are shown only when they feel something profound, something that can be a threat to their existence. You mentioned this "eye opening" thing of Baal in one of your videos, that she opens her eyes fully only at critical moments, same goes for Albedo- notice how he opens his eyes fully only when doing his elemental burst, essentially meaning that this is his response to a life-threatening situation which needs his full concentration and power. But normally he has a relaxed, kind, and smug kind of face, which does not portray any emotions and is perfect for normal talks with common people, as they won't run away seeing that look but might consider it to be awkward and weird, two traits that are already associated with his character anyway.
Okay I'm late I know but I just wanted to say that I absolutely adore this video. It's so well made and I think the little clips and pictures and editing is absolutely amazing...the "theory" is also really good and I think it's really believable.
YES YES YES! Excellent video! Gosh, there are some things I had thoughts about but never really found the connection - but your deep-dive really opened my eyes here!~ About that Apollo thing, I also believe Albedo was meant to be a bow-user at first? At least I heard! Anyways, gotta subscribe! ✨
Idk if this is just me, but I’ve always thought the star on his neck was very suspicious. Also answers I’m hoping for in today’s new update for 2.3 (all information I have is just from Albedos story quest) What is the star on his neck? What did Albedo mean when he was talking about destroying mondstat and if we would stop him? What was at the bottom on the vile traveler drank? How much does Rosaria know, and will we see her in this quest? What does Eula have to do with the upcoming story?
I love him so much 🥲 I don’t want him to lose control! We must protect him. This video was entertaining, informative, and also kind of chilling. I knew albedo was gonna be my favorite from the moment I saw his leaked character model. The effort Mihoyo put into his personality and backstory is incredible. He’s such an interesting creature. Thanks for making this video! Now I’m gonna take him to pick some flowers 🌸
If he was made from the alchemical art, that art is thought to be able to challenge the gods. Does this make it so he is able to challenge the gods? And if so, does that make him an ‘enemy’ of the gods?
Remember albedo trailer narrated by Dainslief? In the end of the trailer he said he'll keep an eye for Albedo should albedo loose control, with that I conclude that Albedo is sus. lol
Albedo himself said that he might destroy mondstadt so..
Rosaria too 💀

Hang on... if constellation tells a story in almost chronological order as evidenced by the timeline we see in Albedo's constellations as explained by you, is it safe to say all characters follow the same format?

Like they're all characters that'll most likely be important in the story's climax.
miHoYo has used that star before in previous games, like the Herrscher of the End in GGZ who basically kills everyone and resets the world (see her yellow star earrings and wings)
I guess they have something related to catastrophe in mihoyo games.
i disagree with the childe one but at the same time i agree. i doubt it actually has anything to do with the star thing and just serves as his style (cause honestly i wouldnt wanna be sweating in the middle of a battle anyway) but if it really does symbolize catastrophe then it'll make sense as to why its only half the star on him. he was a pawn in trying to drown liyue harbor and could be seen as bringing catastrophe but no big catastrophe actually happened. then theres that he is an incredibly gray character, being neither good nor bad and that could also be why its only half
Maybe for the Snezhnaya archon quest or something.

this is why i love albedo as a character so much. he's a prime example of how much thought and research go into creating a well written character

Wasn't khaerin'ah like Eden? And traveler are Lucifer? And 7 archon are the people who serve Lucifer? Now I'm scared with the lore of this game..

@@silverhawkscape2677 i thim it was a blame for both parties, guess dain dislikes the gods for how they massacrated khaenriah, but dislikes how the abyss order attacks inocent people that have nothing to do with og khaenriah.

now then, dain talk about alchemy power of turning chalk into gold is pretty straightforward
When I watched this at 5:40 I realize why they originally planned to make Albedo as an archer... Thats either coincident or crazy attention to detail.

Oh well, I guess I'll just have to help you again." I dont remember where its from but i swear its in the game/a trailer at some point

hello
But i wonder since we dont know what personality the other 5 original archons are there may be 2 possibilities
1. The corruption from gold was what yeeted the people of khaen in the first place into the abyss. Like celestia destroyed it but gold already did the damage
2. But since we dont know what kind of gods the other 5 were, it's difficult to say In all honesty.
all we know is that depending on the answer, Venti and Zhongli will either be redeemed or heavily criticized once the truth gets revealed in future updates 😭
we should not forget another theory at this point, the fight against khaenria was 500 years ago, at this point, there were at most 3 original archons: freedom, contract, wood, the newest archon is dendro, god of wisdom is 500years an archon, so the og archon of dendro probably fell in the fight. the tsaritsa changed 500years ago as venti said, he doesnt recognize her anymore since something happened.
and there is the theory about the King's gnosis, the 8th, which can control the seven others, so the 7 archons might have been forced to fight against khaenria, which led the tsaritsa to get rid of the gnosises and therefor the possibility of being controlled against their will
(the pawns are the vision holders, if a pawn reaches the end of the board, it can ascend, like a vision holder can ascend to celestia)

"If one day I lose control, destroy mondstad, destroy everything can I rely on you to stop me " and whenever I go to dragonspine with albedo he always says shishou(master)
imagine if mihoyo reruns albedo alongside a story quest of him trying to destroy mondstadt-
They would though 😭
mhy would really say
hey want a dirty crime boy? here you go :D
Albedo rerun is coming after Hu Tao actually! so...
YOU JINXED IT HOLY SHIT
damm
YOU ACTUALLY PREDICTED VERSION 2.3
Oh My- i--
Calm albedo but dangerous inside :"")
Nice theory your videos are always cool^^
Thank u!! Albedo is such a cool character i wish we see more of him in the futuree
Never before has all my assorted knowledge of Alchemy, Christianity, and Greek Mythology been more relevant
Who are here after the first Act of Shadows Amidst Snowstorms
Albedo is so interesting I hope he will become an interesting person.
what?
what?
Huh... don't you mean become an essential character?
a-are you roasting Albedo
Nice theory! I always knew he was suspicious from his story quest. I firmly believe that he is a artificial human.
I hopeeee mihoyo continues his story in the futuree
Eee why did you comment the same thing 2 times BAHHA
Also why did you put your location 😭😭😭😭
I feel like we r gonna kill albedo lmao why mihoyo nerf his hair 😡😡
@@jinxedz IT brokeeeeeee huhu
apollo as the god of archery is also a link to albedo, who was a bow user at one point while they created the character
Perhaps that's why he's also the weakest, he somehow goes against celestia's principles by homing those from khaneria
you've got a point- especially with venti being somewhat bitter towards celestia
But for the whole video, I was just listening to your theory while simping for albedo, I mean, he's just so beautiful how can I not-
Ahh no no !! Youre not late !! and yeah isnt he just beautiful
Would be a shame if he becomes a weekly bossfight 🤔
@@ChillwithAster Hshshsh at least we get to see him more
I really hope he doesn’t fail. Please mihoyo, let him succeed and be happy. Don’t hurt my heart like this :,(
And then there’s just his VA
khoi energy lets go ~
12:45 that line
One of the last lines of the event
It brings so much questions related to Gold, Durin, Rhinedottirand Albedo
Also, I feel like he will be stopped before or during his corruption by the traveler, Sucrose, Timaeus, Klee and other characters like Lisa, who knows how dangerous the cost of knowledge can be.
He's not alone, he has friends abd family to help him.
It might be the reason why his master made him join Alice's family
Maybe she knew it would help him to walk the path Gold took 500 years ago, but without doing the same fatal mistakes
NOOOO I DON’T WANT HIM TO DIE!! He’s the only reason I’ve continue to play Genshin :(
I don't think he will die I have a theory that the reason why albedo was created is to get revenge for Khaenri'ah so the alchemist "gold" is probably albedo's master she wanted to get revenge for what happened to Khaenri'ah
But hey that's just a theory a game theory!!!!!!
That a bad reason to continue the game. The reason to continue a game is for the fun of it but I mean… if you spent money on him then that makes sense
You play a game for 1 char? Dummy.
@@_AniWatch nothing wrong with that ^^;
Just knowing how deep this lore is.... MiHoYo really put large amounts of effort into this game
Your theories make so much sense 😭
I didn't ask for a universal amount of knowledge 😭
Glad you like them! :D !
legit just binged all your videos they're so cool, love your theory!
Thank you so,much!!!
Sooo whos here after the 2.3 trailer
As they say: "It is written in the stars."
Great theory! I've heard plenty of other ones but how you did so much resurch and explained it so nicely.
I goes right a long with my own theory I feel like this could be added to my own headcanon
even if he destroys mondstadt he‘ll still be my precious boy
Now I want an albedo rerun even more…..
Well, Sumeru will be the nation of wisdom and knowledge.
So Albedos rerun and story (?) might be the key to get us closer to the next nation - he might also play a big role during the "Chasm" storyline.
What if he dose “lose control “
And becomes the reason for venti’s death?
PLEASE NO BUT AAAA
I remember that it was mentioned that dendro archon died 500 years ago, meaning that they possibly fell in battle during the khaenri'ah catastrophe,it seems that there are possibilities for this
@@randomperson093 on topic with dendro archon, its also suspected that the tsaritsa created the fatui in rebellion for the dudes death lol though I’m not sure where to find the info for the founding of the fatui
@@randomperson093 Is that why there aren’t any new Dendro vision users? And why there’s so few of them at all? Can’t wait for Sumeru and to see Traveler use powers from the God of the Woods.
@@yeeyay7158 theory that tsarista was inlove with the guy and the guy shared some info about celestia to her before dying
albedo is one of my favorite characters
i had a vague understanding of his influences and inspirations
but its wonderful to hear a deep dive into the character
This is one of the few theory videos that actually brings real proof based in investigation than just a couple coincidences, good job!
poggggggg i love your genshin lore theories Asterrrr lezgooo
AAa thank youu !!
This is really interesting! Albedo’s story had me really considering the game’s lore.
this feels like vyn describing cards to arrest the criminal
Aaa tears of themis player
Idk. The gods didn't have a choice)
It was called the treasure of humanity, but to become powerful and godless..
To add on to Albedo's tie to Apollo, Albedo was originally planned to be a bow user.
I cannot even imagine how much time and work was put into this extravagant documentary. Thank you for your work, I will share this with as many people as i can...
Glad you enjoyed it!
Btw this sounds like a horror movie with the music;
It was really nice
If I ever had a project like this video I would just dump it
10/10
love how the video is so serious but the watermark in the bottom right is just albedo starring into our soul
: D albedo
nooo my boy
love the video, the narration, the info, mmm tasty
> mihoyo gives albeso rerun
> it's when he finally get corrupted by durin
😭
If Albedo become a Boss in Genshin...i bet it will become emotional...he used to become our friend :')
Wow that first line hit me like a tonne of bricks. I've been devouring lore and it never clicked that Albedo is the forbidden act that condemned Khaenri'ah
Righndottr is gold I suspected this long before shadow amidst snowstorms confirmed it
Oh boy here I go into another rabbit hole.
This was great, I love it.
Dont worry we have chocolate here
I just finished watching most of your videos while doing some Abyss.
It was intense.
The day Albedo dies is the day Klee will become the next Crimson Witch of Flames
Why did I have to watch this in nighttime??! Man, I wish I could have get a good sleep tonight
Your pfp-
NO MORE GOOD NIGHT SLEEP
portal music in the background feels like a perfect fit for a video about albedo for whatever reason
So like. Albedo is a fancy forbidden ruin guard made specifically for Mondstadt and if the gods didn’t step in there would have been one person for each nation? And if Khanri’ah were to succeed they would have taken down all other nations and reigned supreme? Thus toppling the hierarchy of reign of the gods and celestia?
this sounds like a creepypasta without the atmosphere
"from a time of blackening comes a process in which perfection is attained" very similar 2 the idea from Yu Yu Hakusho where Itsuki explains his motivation 4 letting Sensui fall into depravity. "Sensui's soul must follow its true course. drop ink on the finest snow white paper and it will inevitably absorb into black. its purity demands it. tainted men have immunities, black does not absorb black. Sensui's change is but proof of his perfection and you can not stop him. the ability to do so would show purity did not exist. Purity is worth the world and worth it ending."
THE PORTAL MUSIC IN THE BACK OMFG
From the already existing Characters for me Albedo is the most mysterious one and the one i want more about the most. I hope his second story Quest will be interesting!
Wow, the depth of research you've put into this...it's simply amazing. How do you even find this much information? How do you even know where to look? How do you know which sources to choose from? (This is coming from a human of curiosity that has troubling researching simple questions)
The inspiration was for this vid was like "what in the world is up with his constellation names omg" and THEN I JUST KEPT GOING
This is one of the best lore channel i had seen so far,ur gonna become big one day :))
I really love that you used portal ost for this
Im terrified of sucrose’s constellations then
Goddamn why is her c6 chaotic entropy and why is she the closest thing to a human anemo hypostasis
*interesting*
I was wondering, is sucrose planning to be a hypostasis? It's not out of the question
based from her story, the purpose for all her experiments was to make a fairy-tale like wonderland in honor of her past friendships. Chaotic Entropy would probably mean about her way of experimenting. She likes to mix this and that without much thought and it's only when she gets different result/s where she asks herself "why" and/or "how". and when nothing happens, when there's no chaotic unpredictable result, no hows and whys, it becomes torture to her. she'd love some chaotic entropy at most of the time so she can have a better understanding leading to her goal which may mean she will pick something out of anything just to take a closer look at it
i mean, look at her burst lol.

I'm just waiting for Albedo to do a human transmutation 😂
holy crap that’s amazing, you’ve earned my sub. I’m going to share this video with my friends who play genshin too :)
THIS EDITING IS HELLA NICE
I love my boi Bedo so much. He stays in my party 5ever
NO PLS I DONT WANNA FIGHT HIM
Okay I'm late I know but I just wanted to say that I absolutely adore this video. It's so well made and I think the little clips and pictures and editing is absolutely amazing...the "theory" is also really good and I think it's really believable.
YES YES YES! Excellent video! Gosh, there are some things I had thoughts about but never really found the connection - but your deep-dive really opened my eyes here!~
About that Apollo thing, I also believe Albedo was meant to be a bow-user at first? At least I heard!
Anyways, gotta subscribe! ✨
omg the fact that the info is so true is so scary im- 😨😨😨
Imagine why albedo didn’t get his rerun banner because he will “attack” monstadt in a few more updates…
He's still mad about his banner being called the "Bennett Banner"
Idk if this is just me, but I’ve always thought the star on his neck was very suspicious.
Also answers I’m hoping for in today’s new update for 2.3 (all information I have is just from Albedos story quest)
What is the star on his neck?
