I have played guitar since I was 18 and next month I will turn 65. Switching to uku has been lots of fun since it is a lighter instrument and takes a shift in mindset with new chord placement. I never learned tab, tho my son tried to teach me many times. For some reason this time it CLICKED in my brain with your teaching method. Thank you. I flubbed up alot on this tutorial of My Girl, I think because I needed the progression of chords presented along with the words as the other tutorials showed. I saw the chord charts on the side, but it wasn’t enough. I will continue to work on My Girl and replace the word ‘GIRL’ with the names of my grandkids, ha ha ha! FUN!!!
I just checked this out at your Suggestion after Listening to "Here Comes The SUN". I Love Learning Finger picking on this song "MY GIRL". I m Still in the Beginning stages of learning Tablature but this was easy to Follow. Thank you so much. Im going to stick with this song until i Learn it. I have a Habit of jumping from song to song & Not getting very far. That's stopping Right Here! I admire your Patience. Thank You Sincerely Sara ; )

I really like your instructions on how to change chords. Those tips are really helpful. But I still struggle with keeping my uke stable when I change chords. Do you rest a but of the weight on the left hand somehow?
Hi Cynthia. Im in Australia. I really enjoying your videos especially this one. I have a tenor uke and I eem to always sound a bit out of tune with you when playing along. Im not sure why? I use a digital tuner. Do you have any thoughts on this.

Thank you for suggesting a different finger for each string. I know it's a little bit more complex to begin with, but knowing that I will be using more than two fingers to pick later on, I would prefer to practice muscle memory and strengthening with as many fingers as early possible. Unfortunately, the island strum is a very deep rut I've dug, so it's hard to climb out and switch to different strums. I will do it, though. In time. Thank you also for your tutorial and #100 videos. You have a beautiful voice along with many amazing arrangements. Keep up the good work 😊
