the immaculate levels of attention to the finest details.. you sir are a legend! F1 themselves getting hold of you says it all. keep on working your magic
Just the fact that I watched that video and was truly amazed by your talent and now figuring out that you made the old graphics for F1 themselves is a massive achievement. Well done you! Hope to see more of this soon enjoyed every single second of it
Amazing research, I was recently trying to go over the 1950-1960 seasons of F1 and I'm also searching the Internet a lot for old videos. It's not easy, you find short sections of videos, in many different languages, and you try to work out what moment in the race is by looking at the car numbers. Sometimes you realize that parts of the video are not even from the race or year they are supposed to be from. I understand perfectly what you meant about the research and I appreciate all the hard work you've put in! Thanks for sharing!
Now, for all of those that think graphic and motion design, animation, video editing, and graphics in general are super simple... think again! There's a lot of work behind it. It's not just a matter a things looking good, but understandable, easy to read and comprehend. Great video Matt! Thanks for this! 👏👏👏😊
Figured most of this would come down to footage collection and fact checking, I thank you for the awesome highlights video and congrats on getting to make a Video for the F1 TH-cam Channel.
You should seriously ask them about creating more classic races, maybe an old Spa or Monza, similar to the way you made the British one. They might have more footage locked up somewhere
This is incredible, I'm so glad I clicked on this and not just the original. It's super interesting seeing how you managed to piece everything together: brilliant logical thinking and a masterclass in video editing. Awesome stuff!!
The amount of effort you put into your video projects is absolutely mind blowing. You should get corporate backing in order for you to have more resources to work with and a bigger budget! You're an absolute talent, mate!
Matt admire his work, he is great! You came out in an article in the largest sports newspaper in Brazil talking about the work you do here. Congratulations!
Matt makes available to us the download of the modern graphic of the TV Tower, which shows the positions of the pilots and how many laps recorded. Please! Please!
Holy shit, the amount of work behind this video is insane, amazing job! When I first watched the original video I thought it was made by the actual f1 channel, watching this video in the beginning really confused me.
When I said that you took your videos to the next level I didn't know the amount of work that you put in it, now that I know it I'm really astonished, respect++ P.S I am a student at a media school, and my dream is to work on VFX, so this video is very interesting to me,
This needs to be featured on the pre race of a future F1 grand prix maybe even Abu Dhabi that's how good you absolutely are do more of these and hopefully F1 hires you like a graphic designer for old F1 races on F1TV
why did i just discovered you just now, aweasome insight, nw to see the video XD, its great watching someone show all the work and hustle that goes behind making those graphics

Can you give us a tutorial on how you did the track graphics, I'm trying to do this myself for a broadcast package of my racing league but I'm kinda struggling on how you did this
Hi, what can I search for when trying to track only a single point of a shape like at 10:05 ? I know how tracking is done but how to attach that path to a single point of shape layer so shape streches out? Thanks and great video, I loved seeing all of behind the scenes!
Chase, employ this man. Pay him lots of money. Let him build a team to "restore" your achive to this level of quality. Dedication (or Madness!!) of this scale should be rewarded.
This shows you the whole process of creating something like this, and isn’t possible to get this level of results with any free application (Adobe do offer free trials)
Awesome job, very accenture! FIA or Liberty Media should hire you! Hello @F1 Look this guy. Save the memories of F1! It can be used to restore old official videos.
You did a suberb work on this video and I think you should have way more views and subscribers, you deserve. Anyway, thanks for your work, it was an awesome video.
Heya man! Awesome vid. The F1 graphics are some of the most complicated out there and you've made it look extremely easy. I want to know, though, if you know how Liberty is able to update their graphics in real-time during a race. That's always puzzled me. Would also love it if you could release the timing-tower as a fun graphic for us to play around with. Thanks!
Might be a future video explaining how graphics like this work real time in a race, but unfortunately I won’t be releasing these ones - way to complex to make into a template
