I drove 6-7 kilometers a Manual RXZ Orange color variant in Pune. Interior quality was way above my expectation. Not as good as Hyundai, but not bad by any means. 3rd row was cramped & limited to 2 5" feet individuals (kids). 4 Airbags, huge touchscreen infotainment, dedicated AC vents for each row, smart key, push button start, alloy wheels, etc etc.. No Steering mounted control even on top variant is a little let down, everything else was within the reach. Drive experience was a surprise. In deed there was a mild 3 pot clatter, but by No Means, I felt that car was under powered. 40 KMPH, 5th gear with AC on & it was pulling without breaking any sweat. Little clatter was only on idling. No vibrations. If Renault play the price game intelligently, then for sure they have a winner.

Frankly speaking, practically it's a 5 seater with loads of boot space and can be used as a 6-7 seater in emergency. Engine wise it's okay, since no one is going to buy it for a race if it's meant to be family oriented. Only concern is the built quality, if it's based on kwid, then only god can help the passengers. The built quality of kwid is the worst I have seen of any car, therefore if the built quality is good then it's worth buying or else RIP Renault.
999cc for a 7 seater car I think that's underpowered and the torque and other figures aren't impressive either but It may be succesfull practically becoz u gerally drive in traffic and not in roads which requires too much power
These are prototypes that's why they didn't give to drive, we will be driving a production version soon. No manufacturer gives prototypes for a review.

Have seen this car in person and it looks much much better. It's an excellent value proposition. We Indians expect to pay minimum and expect maximum. Reanult has hit it bull's eye this time. Tiny, crude engine is a huge let down though.
guys don't buy. this car already looks outdated... built to a meager cost, will break easily than potato chips and accidental parts are not gonna be easy to come by....these may sell a few at launch but soon will get destroyed by competition and pretty soon Renault will loose intrest in the model... and there goes ur resale value... Renault does not have good resale value.... anyway if u do buy it keep it for 8 to 10 yrs then it's barely fine... alternatively buy a used ertiga diesel for less than 5 lakhs... lots of them out there so u can take ur time to find one that you like.... its reliable and much better than this for sure.. that fiat engine if taken care can do atleast 3 Lakh klms... just buy ertiga with less than 50,000 klms and you can actually keep that for 5 to 8 yrs easily.
Kwid's reworked engine???? IE they've been giving third class engine to 1.0 Kwid, because when I drive my 1.0 Kwid, it has no power on initial pick up, car moves like a snail and you have to really put your feet on the raise to put some life in the engine.

Nice review but one correction- apart from the Triber, there's the Datsun GO+ that can Seat seven and is a sub 4 meter compact crossover.
I said it is a 'genuine 7-seater', there is no comparison with Datsun Go+ as that is a compromise.
