Diana’s voice naturally sits lower than average- not absurdly low, I’ve heard women hit lower notes than her, but she definitely still is very comfortable down there. And she has this incredibly ability to keep her voice consistently VERY dark and warm by keeping her larynx down (as one does in a yawn), that’s probably the “effect” you were trying to describe. It’s something that comes naturally to her. Combine it with her impressive vocal skills and you get to witness some remarkable performances

Her voice is naturally low this is not an effect or a technique that she uses to lower her voice.
She can lower her voice with techniques but she does not do it here, when she does she drops down to C3.
She is a Contralto but her range is huge her highs are just as impressive and yes she does have a professional career since the age of 13.
If you want to hear her highs listen to "The day you...", "California dreamin'"", "Fly away on the wings of wind", "Polyusko Polye" or Revelation.
If you want to hear more of her lows listen to "Human", "Oh it is not yet evening", "Sweet Dreams", or "Crow"-->(ДИАНА АНКУДИНОВА - ВОРОНА)

She is definitely one of the most unusual sounds in world music at the moment. I love her shamanic, deep earthy tones but her falsetto is just mythical siren-like. Keep checking out more of her stuff, the list is endless!

Here are three reasons why Diana (the Queen of Goosebumps) doesn't sound human. First, she is a contralto, which is the absolute rarest type of female voice. It allows her to sing very dramatic/powerful, very (I mean VERY) deep, very dark, very rich. Second, she has a spectacular larynx. She's been called the vocal Eighth Wonder of the World. Third, she is polyphonic, which means she can produce multiple harmonics within her voice at the same time. This is what allows her to sound like two people at once. (more below) When you add all that up you basically get a person who creates her own auto-tune. She doesn't need electronic auto-tune. She IS her own auto-tune. And the effect when you hear her is totally mind-blowing. It's like she's singing right through you, like a sword straight into your soul. Literally NOBODY else on the planet has a voice like hers. She's not one in a million, she's one in eight billion. Having watched well over 100 initial reactions to her, only one did NOT say she was "unique".

Greetings from Scotland! Just 15yo here! Diana is 20yo currently but I've been following her since she was around 13yo. Diana is a natural Dramatic Contralto so the lower registers are her comfort zone but she now has a 5 octave range and it's increasing. She also naturally sings with polyphonic overtones so it sounds like many voices at the same time! Beautiful on the outside and inside, great personality and such a thoughtful young lady - with a vocal ability never heard in this world before! Diana creates her own natural effects, she does not need any Autotune. 😊
