I remember when warrior said they were going to sell their heads for 79.99 and kept that promise for 3 days. I understand 99 it makes sense but no one wants to pay 130 Because warrior wasted 10 years of R&D on the warp that none of their pros willingly use.
thanks for the review greg. you nailed everything I thought about it while I was at the store checking it out. being I bought 3 of the qx-o for 135$ , I feel I got the better deal ;) Thank you for doing what you do.
My understanding is the issue QXO users are having with the QX2O is that the pattern used in the QXO is not transitioning over to the QX2O even though both heads have the same number of sidewall holes. Once you find the right pattern for it the head does perform well. Pros: Hole 17 is lower on the sidewall than the QXO, the holes near the mid top half of the sidewall are straight through vs. angled, the throat seems to fit shafts better (the QXO rattled on a lot of shafts with or without the throat lock). Cons: It is very narrow and probably will be tougher for a younger player. Other points of interest: It does feel stiffer than the QXO. If the two heads do weigh the same, the QX2O does feel a little lighter. Perhaps the weight is spread a little more evenly in the QX2O. I would say if you were a fan of the Rabil heads you will probably like the QX2O.
Could you do a ranking of all the Evo’s every made? That would be really cool to see how it evolved and improved through the years, but also to know if the older models are still better than the new!
I don't think the diamond plastic would work well for goalies but that does not mean we won't try. But with the head still being so new I don't see us testing new plastics just yet
I don't think a tutorial is in the plan for these heads but we have enough tutorials that you can string this identically if you know the knots we used.
From afar it looks like a Rabil with the "zigzagging". BTW On the site the white storm is black mesh, and the black storm is white mesh. A bit confusing if you're not paying attention. So when I ordered on the Dicks sporting goods site and ordered the "black" its white mesh with black strikers. instead of black with white strikers . just a tad confusing.🤕🤷♂ throws the idea for my setup a bit off but it'll do just fine.
The storm is also in reference to the striker pattern which is now called storm striker referring the the color in that specific pattern. The two you mentioned can get a little confusing but the pictures should clear it up.
I got to see this head in person for the first time the other day and my first reaction was "dang this thing is ugly". It's stiff and all but there are heads that are better or just as good that don't cost $130
Could not say a enough great things about the QX-O. A long time evo user, the QX was a great upgrade from the 5x. A little lighter removed the throat plug which was great. The new one was just a little disappointing. Price point was too high for a head that was different in face shape from the prior one a lot of us loved. And was also not much of an upgrade in terms of stiffness which was extremely disappointing as it feels softer than the QX1
This reminds me of the Evo 4 hs which I loved. I remember seeing pictures of this before it came out and debated on getting one at some point but after seeing that price. No thanks
Unfortunatley the cost of plastics has risen forcing companies to raise their prices. When you break down the cost of R&D trials, molds, testing, the cost add up. If you are ever on a tour at the ECD warehouse we have 2 molds that are no longer in use show what goes in to making a head.
Haven’t played in like 5-6 years now. And since then it seems lax tech hasn’t changed at all since then. Maybe it can’t get better 🤷🏼♂️ things look different but the fact that eveythint is the same as 4 years go shows that. Maybe carbon based shafts are a big change but where can you even go from there
There have been big strides made by all companies, from new padding tech, new plastics, carbon fiber exploration and other new materials in shafts is always evolving. 3D and 4D printing may help bring 1 of 1 lacrosse heads for players one day.
The price of elite level heads is rising, sourcing the plastics and the cost of operating the machines to run the molds has also increase driving the heads to become more expensive.
Its a cool head but 129 for it unstrung is insane
it’s 99$ on lacrosse unlimited

I think it was 69.99 actually if I remember right.
@@5Lax yeah it was. They were competing with the Mark 1 at the time
Yeah that didn't last long

Right on! Glad this helped
How did you get 3 for $135?? What store is this at?

This was fantastic feedback!
Can you review the RZR2s and compare them with the originals?
Will get them ASAP!
What pattern would you recommend for this head?
how do you think this face shape and sidewall shape compares to the noz? What head today do you think is most similar to the shape of the noz?
The Mirage 2.0 and Surgeon 900 are the ones that come to mind with similar face shapes
Could you do a ranking of all the Evo’s every made?
That would be really cool to see how it evolved and improved through the years, but also to know if the older models are still better than the new!
That would be a fun video. My favorite is still the Evo 4
can you please do a review on the maverik havok 2
I unfortunately don't think we are planning to review the head at this point
are you guys gonna make a ion goalie head??
I don't think the diamond plastic would work well for goalies but that does not mean we won't try. But with the head still being so new I don't see us testing new plastics just yet
@@ECD yea the soft plastic may not work well but the looks would be insane
what pattern do you recommend for a tactik 3
Top string on 2
Loop start on 3rd
0,knot,0,knot,knot,1,2,1,1 skip, ending 1 skip

Will you make a stringing tutorial on this head?

Can I use the Mirage 2.0 and the GRAPHENE Mirage 2.0 for defense 😊
I would recommend the graphene if you were planning to use that for defense

I really do agree with this take. The look is a miss for me.
How much does the mirage 2 weigh?
Around 4.9 oz
Nike L3 or Tactik 3 I play crease attack and I like to shoot a lot?
L3 but I really would pick the Mirage over both
Evo X6, best evo in my opinion
Can we get a STX Surgeon RZR2 gloves review?
As soon as we can get a pair! A review will be shot

peak evo was the evolution 2.0/X hot take
If I was only able to play with the X for the rest of my life I’d be happy
EvoX was what I used in college. Evo4 the goat
Epoch Z-1 the way to go
Has a Razer Pro look to it

@@shrek5266 let me rephrase, new tech when it comes to sticks. And I’m talking about groundbreaking stuff not just improvements.

Prices are rising on everything at this moment in time.
Nooooo they changed the iconic sidewall struts design. That should stay if it’s gonna be called an evo
Not a huge fan of that but you know they may be on to something!
why is it 130$
they killed the evo
