Thank u for discussing all of this. As a white person, these conversations are so important to me because they help me understand & educate me on things that I have never had to experience
I want Enzo to win my only worry is he’ll make the same mistakes did last time by going to the end with the bro’s that may beat him in those last few physical comps and he gets cut
I think the final 3 will be Enzo, Tyler, and Christmas. They will blindside Cody at some point, just because they make an alliance now doesn’t mean they’ll stick to it.
Nick Petrella even then Tyler and Christmas have a preseason alliance and have been each other’s final 2 since day one and with the way Christmas was acting she’s not getting the votes to win so unless Enzo wins his way and takes her I don’t see him winning
Actually, Melissa, Dani expressed that she's not sure she should have come back this season. She was missing her daughter and crying in the BY. Just saying, Dani's not a great example of someone who isn't expressing doubts about being there.
It’s so disheartening that so many in the bb community are completely oblivious to the fact that minorities are at a disadvantage in all aspects of life....yes, even in this game. And yes, it SHOULD be talked about. I am so very thankful that RHAP, as a whole, is finally acknowledging and addressing the issue because before this season Brent seemed to be the only one who would touch on the subject. Kudos RHAP!!
On a more serious note, this discussion was very enlightening. It's heavy, and there are a couple of points where I was almost in tears listening to you guys talk about these serious issues. But this is needed, and we all need to be conscious about these problems. Thank you guys. I don't feel any better about this week, but it's a start.
Oh man, I knew my girl Melissa was ready to go and she did not disappoint. Christmas is the weakest, yet most dangerous type of player in that house Victoria with the ability the to win comps.
I liked this roundtable, you are all very smart and have good opinions. The BB fandom on Twitter and even in this comment section is honestly very emotional and ignorant and I'm glad I have not been involved in the conversation tbh. However I appreciate hearing the takes from podcasters with more expert opinions and more open minds. Melissa might be right that BB is over.
Christmas was never going to put an bigger target on the block when she talked about wanting Bay to go home since she’s afraid she’ll go after her. That’s what Christmas said to Da’Vonne. Plus Christmas mean comments about being scared on Bayliegh shows she never was going to change the nomination. Tyler could have tried but Christmas just didn’t listen. Plus you guys aren’t talking about that Allison had to talk to Tyler. Maybe he was begging but no one was letting him so he had to give up and keep playing. His statement about the movement could still be true. I mean maybe he’s hoping for them to win over him that he’ll help them get further in the game since he couldn’t get on the block. As I said before and I’ll say again most of these houseguest I’m seeing doesn’t want to be here and are miserable. You had Tyler tried to quit 2 times but couldn’t leave. Ian tried to leave Dani thought about just getting on the block since this is the last week before jury. Then we got Cody who is grieving his grandpa’s death which is hard. I think All Stars was an bad idea since we are hating basically most of the people we use to like in the game.
Thank you, RHAP. These conversations are so important to make room for change. Those that are uncomfortable with the topic being addressed then you might want to ask yourself some tough questions. It’s narrow minded to wish we could put race aside when they’re playing a social strategy game reflecting the issues in the outside world. Tyler, although seemingly well-intentioned, tried to make his quit a political statement to support the movement/“cause” then didn’t even bother to warn Bay/Day when he knew the situation changed. It’s hard to follow his logic here. How could we not process this? And how Christmas has been treating them? Again, why would we not process all of the racist comments and actions this week? It has become a bigger part of the game due to the players choices To also not acknowledge the bias in the format, race ratio/majority, and the experience of POC remaining the minority on the show is illuminating that you’re either not very empathetic to these particular houseguests, or not in touch with the issues POC face every day outside of the house. Could you step back and open to learning a different perspective? I work hard to be aware and I do appreciate RHAP covering this issue because it is teaching me how to spot my micro aggressions , and my implicit bias- such as those “comfortable options”, those automatic responses and associations based on racism. I want to learn because I never want to make someone feel this way. Do you? As uncomfortable as change can be, and as much as I’d LOVE for this not to be part of the BB game (damn, everyone is hurting!), please try to step back and listen so we can make positive changes in the outside world, which will hopefully reflect to positive changes inside of the BB house. Like it or not, life has changed this year, and our blinders have been removed. Getting back to “normal” isn’t an option-at least, not for me. And Taran’s perspective on how this is how we make those changes gave me hope. ✌️
I was excited Big Brother came back with Coronavirus. Also happy they didn't have to wear masks in the house. It is a little bit of normal for me. I didn't think about color, sexual orientation or anything until Davonne on the TV broadcast (which CBS aired) said Chocolate drop. It hurt me. I looked at all of these people as good players (all stars) and David they wanted to give a chance because he lost without a chance last season.
Ppl in the comments keep saying Day is racist for wanting to keep David because he’s black, but this is what we have to do because of y’all, we have to stick together and not go after each other because y’all are already targeting us, inside and outside of the house. All the targets of the major alliance, which is all white, are targeting all the black ppl! Lol so why wouldn’t Day, Bay, David and Kevin not naturally wanna protect each other, it’s not just a game, it’s something we do as black ppl on the outside as well. Y’all keep thinking this is just a game when it’s never been that, it’s a social experiment, it’s real life and has real life consequences. Y’all just don’t care I guess, you just wanna escape the the reality, ain’t no escape for us.
Angela made a public statement in defense of Tyler's statements to Day and Bay. A person can not specifically care about a cause 1 minute and have an epiphany the next. I am curious to hear what Tyler has to say, if anything, on this issue, after finale completes.
@@thesovgc Angela allows followers to comment on her statements. I am not sure if you were aware but she and Tyler also host their own TH-cam channel, Tangela Inc.
Wally Young Twitter is just one platform and her “”last statement” was just that, her last. Is it possible what you meant, initially, was that Angela doesn’t allow responses to every public statement she makes?
Wally Young “All” was implied but appreciate this clarification. You also definitively declared “Tyler won’t” and “Angela will be his mouthpiece”. I took it all in context. No hard feelings on my part. It’s been a pleasure chatting with you!
Wally Young Or you could simply accept our discussing this through as healthy authentic dialogue, your choice. Again, from my perspective, no harm, no foul.
This is called “in group preference” You naturally feel more comfortable with people within “your” group. I think the reason RHAP may got a lot of flack for their opinions on this one is because, people aren’t ready to here their favourite game is inherently racist, but it’s not racist and sadly that kinda how RHAP presented it on this one. This game if reversed, 4 Caucasians 12 African American Same result expect 4 Caucasian would be targeted and taken out pre jury every season if casted this way. ITS and people hate to hear this is NATURAL. They either need to split it right down the middle with race, or 4 different ways. Something needs to change. and to people disliking this because it’s uncomfortable to them this kinda stuff will never be fixed until we talk about it. Also Production if your don’t want to look racist af stop cutting the feeds idiots. Smh
I think the stress and pressure of being in the BB house brings out white people's prejudice more than regular life and the contestants are way too ignorant to realize that they are not willing to connect more to house guests of color. When white people try to avoid the reality of race and racism that's when the implicit biases and ignorance gets highlighted... and this is easy to see in Big Brother especially now when audience is thinking more about race.
This is pretty true except if there was a racial reverse where there were only 4 white guests the Black majority would NOT vote the white people off 1st. Black people live in a white majority. Even if they go to a school or live in a town that is predominantly Black many authority figures including doctors, school principals, police & more would still be white. Turning on a tv 90 percent of all channels would feature white casts, the president and most of national government is white. Black people have had to sit in white spaces. The group preference goes to other characteristics than race. This is why Bayleigh wanted to work with Tyler, Christmas and Cody - she saw herself as an athlete. Her and Janelle were pageant girls. Day liked Dani because they are moms.
@@MsFreebird101 they wouldn't team together because they are white because they would still be included in larger groups. If you are a white person in a majority Black high school or an HBCU you are welcomed. The white guy on the basketball team is just a teammate. Black people are used to including white people in their daily life..even just by turning the TV on. They only link with other Black people exclusively after being shunned from white groups.
20YearSoul I get what your saying and I agree black people are more accepting of white people because they live in a white majority country. I wish we could cast a game with 12 African Americans from like a Baltimore neighbourhood, and 4 white LA loving Americans, because we really don’t know for sure until something like this happens. Games with majority black casts have been tested though out of country, BB Africa is a thing and has 9 seasons with a majority black cast, no white winners.. So it’s been tested outside of majority white countries and same result, but you do bring up a good point and I think we need to see it play out before we say what is facts.
Even with the stock market crash of 2020, I held on nicely, making $41.04, because I diversified my assets last week between Tyler, Enzo, & Memphis. Tyler may have fallen, but Enzo rose and Memphis remained the same. I'm now in place 1497 (Top 1500! Up exactly 1000 places!) with $378.28. This week... I can't decide whether I should risk it all and go all in on Enzo OR split between Enzo & Memphis. Both feel risky...
Bay and Day are not on the block because I Tyler, but due to Dani and Nicole- mostly Dani. Also they both are terrible at this game. If you tell someone your ride or die is another player that’s a red flag and they are coming after people in xmas’ alliance. Bay is such an emotional player she will never be good at any social or strategy based competition show. Oh and telling people you are great at poisoning juries is maybe he dumbest BB move we have seen this season.
I feel like the whole situation with Christmas was because she was outraged that those two people specifically dared to be anything but kind and grateful towards her. I think her bias is on full display.
Tyler is fake af, you don’t bring up sensitive things like our cause and being a single mom, and helping them, only for you to back out of it with no explanation, he used the cause, played with their feelings on a personal level, he’s trash. Don’t bring up those real life issues, if you aren’t real about it. He should’ve just kept it at wanting to go home to his girlfriend.
