Personally, I think shuttles are the way to go if you're staying near a shuttle stop, especially if you and you're group won't be sober. Also highly recommend water-resistant shoes or silicone shoe covers if it's going to rain - dancing in wet shoes/socks isn't fun... A lot of SoCal Insomniac festivals have official afterparties now (including last year's Countdown), and there will probably be one this year too. Runs from 2 AM - 6 AM right on the festival grounds and tix are an additional $50. And 100% agree that GA+ is pretty much just a money-grab. I'd rather get GA or pay a little extra for the VIP. But don't get VIP if you're under 21, because they won't let you into the VIP areas lmao (friends have made this mistake).
