I got a job as an analyst in big4 in London directly from India without even spending a rupee. 😂

In India after setting up a business you have to pay a huge amount of your earnings as tax and this tax directly goes into government officials and big Business men pocket. In India small business men are just exploited. And there are very less amount of seats in every educational institution. So the only way is to get out of country, surely you will earn somewhat less but you will give your childrens a very good future life as well as your whole generation

Education is something which shouldn't be measured by money. This line is what scamsters have misinterpreted in India. It actually means education should've be valued more than money. Which other countries do. Good teachers, facilities etc and they have been doing it for centuries. They value people, their education and their students.

Going straight away on work permit or PR is really hard getting a student visa is by far easier. 1. Indians pay more for those degree as those degree holders get even higher paying jobs there. See if anyone is paying 80 lakh for liberal arts.
    2. Even for the 0.5% foreign students at IITs or 2-8% students at IIMs, we have higher fees everyone charge more to people outside.
    3. Merit is praised, I personally know many who have got full scholarship to study abroad specialy EU. Yes if you are a avg candidate gotta pay up for a good life bro
    4. They have better colleges, as they don't have master and UGC qualified teachers for 90% of colleges... they have better teachers cause the govt fund PhD scholars, university gives decent money.. check the salary of IIT profs for newer iits and nits its pathetic their students make more, why do you expect better students then from India let alone abroad

But wait a minute, isn’t this true for India too, except for a few government institutes like IIT / NIT ? There are so few seats but many good students. Where will they go ? Emphasis should be on learning as much as possible and acquiring skills which increase your employability. The skills may be acquired from the college or outside, that doesn’t matter.

Now knowledge and the desire to seek truth and knowledge that can be acquired ourselves and even in a much cheaper non branded desi institutions as well, but the utility of a degree is what it allows us to get with it, what doors it opens for us when we have that flashy status signalling mechanism, and for that reason alone, I believe these more expensive colleges and degrees will always be a thing. You have at least 2 good universities in every state and thousands of Indians come here every year and they get placed at a very good package ($120000 +) which is ₹1 crore which the same will get in India only after at least 8-10 yrs of experience on avg

The amount of money that you spend on foreign education is 5 times more for foreign students..instead of wasting this money, you can invest this money in diversified assets..and live like a king in India..if you compare the 35-36 years of career graph of total income earned during your lifetime in a foreign country then it will be always less in terms of purchasing power parity..so start doing job in India which will always save your 80-90 lakhs (or approx 2 crores if you consider interest on education loan) if you avoid foreign eduction…think smart and act like a real Indian..

You do realise they just don't take a higher course fee purely because they want more money?
There are a lot of processes in play, think about it, one such reason is if the cost fee would be the same as the fees for the local students then the number of applicants would be very high and with little to no home quota to protect them, eventually it would be inaccessible for anyone to apply irrespective of merit or money, yes the costs are nevertheless high but the employability and salary packages are a lot more lucrative and prestigious for the top leading universities, for eg- there isn't a lot of direct employment within the policing agencies in India to students having a MA in criminology, etc. Hence some apply outside to get desired job profiles and packages along with the experience that is added, this being said it isn't all good because universities are very money minded, one can lookup their admission scams lately (Harvard included). It really depends on evaluating the cost-benefit analysis. It is really not a complete scam in my opinion highly subjective. This is just my opinion.

Firstly Majority of Indians abroad for masters in science or mba, or the rich class of India can afford to send kids for other courses like film making and music.
So I beg to differ with you as a lot of studies show that Indians do spend a big chunk on the education in these countries but many of them send 4x money back to their parents in India over a course of time.
Secondly degree makes sense to a person who makes use of the knowledge. No offence man you are doing a great job but just think logically or atleast ask your friends abroad and by that I mean friends who did well here in India not on report card but skillwise. You will find they have an min salary of 100,000 when they start work post MS course or mba which is around 80L INR. But also considering the disparity in currency rates and tax slabs they do make way over 66k which as you said an average American household makes. Plus Indians go their as the find universities which have state of the art technology in their laboratories unlike here where only government colleges or the most elite colleges have those facilities. Under Modi government there have been significant changes and obviously this trend is bound to change but sitting here in India and quoting some hypothetical studies for making a content doesn't make sense to me.
I have seen your other work and have therefore subscribed but this didnt make sense!!! Hope the feedback will be taken positively

I've only seen dumb students applying for foreign universities because they couldn't make the cut in India and live a mediocre life in Canada while doing jobs that no one else would do. The trend of going to a foreign country to study is dying out because of the upcoming recession and crap job opportunities.

see I'll put 2 arguments. The people who are earning 6500 USD per month, won't be sending their kids to US to study. The parents with a lot of money, send their kids to study abroad(this is because of great disparity in income level). So there a lot of parents who can very well afford it. Then to talk about kids going there spending double money to go and study in the US. They go there because, there is a high chance that Indian kids will do well there, and will easily earn and recover it. Indians are just 1-3 percentage of US, but they are the most well to do in the US. So, the probability is high that Indians will do well, and is worth a gamble, to go there.

bro, one more thing I want to mention, why I think getting admission in foreign universities is much easier than Indian ones.
The reason can also be the number of good Universities available for the huge Indian population.
you can also get admission in lower tier colleges in India by giving money, which are plenty in number.
but to get into a good uni, you need score as they are very few in number, like IIT ,IIM, AIIMS and other big ones.
