I had the opportunity to operate Kontiki in 2023 when I went to technical school at least a 10 minute drive away. The motor actually died during mid-season and also due to majority of the cars being out of service due to the locking cylinders for the restraints not working properly. I did hear that they ordered new parts, but I think due to its popularity since it was tucked away in a back corner I can see why they removed it. Now, I'm back in PA from tech school and sure do miss working there.
I have the Dimond season pass and the person at booth at the preferred lot wanted us to pay 20 extra dollars to park on the paved lot but we said no way so she just let us park on the dirt lot.
Unfortunately I couldn’t make opening day but I could make April 27th and I will never forget what my friend said on that day at around 2 pm at Johnny rocket’s just across the way from supergirl sky flyer, at the 2nd table on the left wall
It's nice having the theme parks back, the only reason I like spring. Looking forward to Canobie lake park, and hopefully that " new ride for 2023" actually opens up this year. Not to be a jerk, but I'm shocked to see a older generation at the dinosaur ride, I'm used to seeing teenagers and college students. Guess that'll change as we get closer to summer, but it's nice seeing six flags hiring older people. Also, thank you for the tram shot!
I miss this place so very much! 🥺🥹 I haven't been here for five years straight: since 2019. Right before the coronavirus/pandemic started. Gotta return someday 🥳🤩😍
It was pretty chilly. I can't predict tomorrow's weather, but if it is forecasted to be under 60, dress in layers because the coasters are cold at that speed.
I'm sorry, did you say ALL the single rider lines are gone?? That was such an important feature for passholders like me who almost always go solo. I could actually ride Pandemonium...
SFNE has a world class 1-2 punch with Superman and WC, but the rest of the coaster lineup sort of dies down. The park used to be on SF’s high priority back in the day but then it all went crashing down when Covid came. It feels kind of neglected in my perspective. If the park is gonna get a new coaster in 2025, it should be a multi launch coaster
@@Posirep I know! '21 was really the 1st year I started to become more of an enthusiast. I got a SFNE season pass, went my 1st time, saw Fireball, lines were too long. So I said I'm gonna ride that next time. Well, the next time wouldn't involve a Larsen loop☹️
Three rides gone no mention if anything will replace them. Considering the $ increase for food and preferred parking. I think New England’s Days are numbered
That parking situation is just a flippin insult to their customers and legacy members. They find new ways to degrade benefits for quick cash grabs. I hope it blows over before the end of the year
It was nice seeing you my friend I love this vlog great vlog
Nice seeing you too dude!
ITS NOT FAIIRRRRR I WASS GONNA MAKE THE FIRST 2024 SFNE VIDDDD NOOO
RIP Kontiki, may your spot be used for new thrills

Thanks for the insight. I loved that ride. Sad to see it go. 😥
I’m going to six flags TODAYYYYY! EEEEHHHH. but it dose cost a lot💀
For two people it’s $50
Can't wait to go on the 31st of may. It's a few states northeast so I can't wait
Wow they open far sooner than canobie lake but understandable. Another great video and sometime I would love to check out six flags!
Thanks! Paul and I are excitedly anticipating the opening of Canobie Lake Park.
I have the Dimond season pass and the person at booth at the preferred lot wanted us to pay 20 extra dollars to park on the paved lot but we said no way so she just let us park on the dirt lot.
They already changed their policy to let passholders park on the paved lot. 🎊

Look how they massacred my boy the infamous m&m stairs 0:05
😭
NOOOOOOO😭😭

It's still early on in the season and their younger help is still in school, or in college. The man was absolutely pleasant though!

The park is waiting for you!
I went to Six Flags New England on April 6th, unfortunately Superman the Ride was down due to the cold weather. 😔
It's back up running now!
Love that small crossover ❤
I was at Six Flags on the 6th and 7th, and let me tell u it was frezzing
It was even colder whipping around on Wicked Cyclone.
They opened up Superman later in the day I believe. Nice video
Thank you. It's back up and running now!
What was the temperature that day? Iam going this Friday
It was pretty chilly. I can't predict tomorrow's weather, but if it is forecasted to be under 60, dress in layers because the coasters are cold at that speed.
I’m disappointed because they said ride photos would be back? I can’t wait to go next Sunday tho Superman should be opened!
Yeah I was surprised about that too. Perhaps the Cedar Fair merger is changing how those contracts will work out.
how hard were they pushing down on wicked cyclone, im a local
honestly not bad
I'm sorry, did you say ALL the single rider lines are gone?? That was such an important feature for passholders like me who almost always go solo. I could actually ride Pandemonium...
Yes, it's true. All the single rider lines are gone. 😥
The preferred parking was whack on opening day.
Do some rides still have the phone pouches on ride like last year?
Just Wicked Cyclone. It's more of an RMC thing at this point

It was never a high priority park. It's always been a mid tier park. Now it's been relegated to the bottom tier I guess.
It's unfortunate that it's been neglected as it is the 2nd oldest park in the country. You would think that Six Flags would capitalize on that.
@RyanPagellaAdventureLife Its tied with Cedar Point. They both opened the same year
@@Posirep these are facts
Hey are you gonna be at Lake Compounce opening day? 😊
Of course!
First train on Wildcat 🫠

Wth? Fireball gone. Now Kontiki? I never got to ride either one.
Fireball has been gone for a couple years now. A downburst collapsed a tree onto the ride and damaged it badly

Everyone kept telling me I'm still limping but didnt notice until I saw this🤦♂️🦶
You know, for a limp, you were keeping good pace all day.

@@RyanPagellaAdventureLife really?! Thank goodness. Thank you for the update!
Con tiki 😢😢😢😢 I am sad and also sad about buzzsaw 😞
Same! I miss all of the flat rides
