Welcome to Nemophila. Nemophila formed in 2019 and rocketed skyward with their largest concert at the famed Nippon Budokan in February 2024. They have 3 albums of original music, 1 cover album and will release a short CD in November featuring G.O.D., Progress and another new song. They have approximately 40 original songs (some not included on an album), and a similar number of fantastic covers. It is 2:00 a.m. and just back from work, so please forgive my memory at the moment. Their first performance outside of Japan was at the Whiskey A Go-Go in July 2022, followed by the Aftershock festival in October 2022. In March of 2023 they performed in 8 cities around the US. Numerous shows around Japan over the years. The current members include: Mayu - vocals - former band Lipstick Haraguchi-San - bass - formerly of Holderlins (I believe) Hazuki - guitar - formerly of Disqualia and currently also in Koiai Tamu Murata - drums - formerly of Soramimi and countless other groups as one of Japans most in demand session drummers. Former member: Saki - guitar - Formerly of Destrose and Mary’s Blood. Now pursuing a solo career. Saki was an original member and only left about seven months ago, so most of the videos will include her. Since her departure, Nemophila has reworked some older music for the new four piece formation. G.O.D and Progress are the first two songs specifically composed for the new formation. You already have many suggestions and everyone is fantastic. It is late, so I’ll stop here. Enjoy

Love it as well. Some were worried how they would continue on as a 4 piece, but then they come out with imo their best song yet. You should like their entire catalog. If you're on a Japanese rabbit hole, I'd suggest the just released music vid from MAXIMUM THE HORMONE - SHIMI feat. ATARASHII GAKKO!.
Yes - Nemophila are awesome - this track is my song of the year! But add Lovebites to your list: “The Hammer Of Wrath (live)” is as good as any place to start 🤘🎸🐺
There just the best out there never miss .There is a lot to get through with them and there the cover queens of the world as well .Suggest you go for a live track next one of the most resent are best .
First song from Nemophila? 😂 Two other kick-ass motivational songs: "Revive" (official music video) and "Rise" (official music video). I am a huge Nemophila fan, have all of their records. They turn everything they touch into *gold* . Listening to Nemophila is _never_ a waste of time. They do Punk, they do ballads, they do freestyle. And they always amaze and surprise. 😊 DE/GER
Nemophila are an amazing band. Full of great songs and great musicians. You cant go wrong with them. They also do great covers which are worth checking out too. You say pop punk? Japan had a freaking great pop punk band called Mutant Monster. They had been formed together in high school. The two sisters in it play lead and bass and sing beautifully together. They have not returned after COVID sadly. Their last album did not have a bad song on it. Try songs like ABNORMAL, 離してあげる, or GIRLS FIGHT (there is no band video after they changed record companies but there is one on YT)
Band-Maid, Nemophila, Lovebites, Hanabie: The 3 Musketeers (that are 4) of the all-female, J-metal bands ministarter pack. They are at least 100 of them...
Seen them live twice, they are fire. No Lovebites yet? That should be next on your list. There is not a better metal band today. The Japanese metal/rock scene is the best in the world currently.
Try Their song Zen live. Also if you like hard rock try The Warning. Good start would be Disciple at the Pepsi Center, or any song actually. Give a shot.
Looking for enjoyable Happy Metal? Turn to the Japanese all-female band "Hágane" (spoken like "Huh-guh-nae", emphasized on the first syllable). "Hágane" means "steel" in Japan. A four-piece band worth listening to, all of them delivering _sick_ . Maybe start with "Hero time" and "Life goes on!" 😊 DE/GER

Great reaction dude. 🤘Nemophila 🤘
Literally my favorite band on the planet. Being (imo) the best of Japanese female metal is not an easy thing to do, given what a deep, deep field it is...but for me, no band matches their combination of technical ability, chemistry, versatility, and live charisma. I've seen them live six times, including twice under the new quartet system. Every single show had that priceless "in the presence of greatness" vibe.
Nemophila is pure 🔥🔥🔥🔥. They play a variety of styles and excel at all of them. Try Revive (mv) or Oiran (live)
My favorite heavy metal band period!
Welcome to the rabbit hole for one of the best bands there is regardless of country, sex or genre.
Love this band!!❤ please react to them more 🙏🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Love the shirt! Nemophila is one of my all time faves! You can't go wrong with any song when you go down their rabbit hole. Skol from Duluth!
Thank you! It’s from a rad company out of Minneapolis called Collapsing Sun :)
They are a pretty killer band! SKOL!
Great reaction!....Nemophila (neh-mo-fee-la) is 🔥🔥🔥
Nemophila has a WIDE range of sound and style...here are some suggestions based on Mayu's lead vocals (cleans vs screams)
Cleans

G.O.D (MV) th-cam.com/video/18Ddh0UFVN8/w-d-xo.html
Screams
Zen (Live) th-cam.com/video/k1yPbBRHFms/w-d-xo.html
Most people start with Dissention (MV, Japanese ver.) or Revive (MV) and then Adabana (MV), Rise (MV), etc.
'Zen' (live), Oiran (live) and Dissention (MV) are some of their hardest and best songs
'Odyssey' is an incredible power ballad (80's style) and 'Live' is an emotional ballad-like song sung in the video as a 'welcome back' to Tamu (drummer) after her maternity leave. Great songs that show the softer side of Nemophila.
'Ama-Te-Ras' is a quite unique 'groovy metal' song and one of their best as well.
‘G.O.D.’ is their newest song and 1st song as a 4-piece band
And don't miss their many covers...they are all great as well!
Please react to more Nemophila , Revive , Dissension , Oiran , Rise , Odessy
I check the others out!
Gacharic Spin and Lovebites stilll to discover :)
gacharic spin easily the most underrated
🤘nemophila 🤘
Band-Maid, Nemophila, Lovebites, Hanabie: The 3 Musketeers (that are 4) of the all-female, J-metal bands ministarter pack.
They are at least 100 of them...
Aldious, East of Eden, Bridear, Fate Gear, Gacharic Spin, NEK!, Hagane, Trident, ... yeah, the list goes on. 🙂
Seen them live twice, they are fire. No Lovebites yet? That should be next on your list. There is not a better metal band today. The Japanese metal/rock scene is the best in the world currently.
🤘🏻🌸🤘🏻
Try Their song Zen live. Also if you like hard rock try The Warning. Good start would be Disciple at the Pepsi Center, or any song actually. Give a shot.
Looking for enjoyable Happy Metal? Turn to the Japanese all-female band "Hágane" (spoken like "Huh-guh-nae", emphasized on the first syllable). "Hágane" means "steel" in Japan. A four-piece band worth listening to, all of them delivering _sick_ . Maybe start with "Hero time" and "Life goes on!" 😊 DE/GER
