"hah-gah-neh" That last syllable can sound like "nay," too...kinda depends on where you are in Japan. Anyway, welcome to a fantastic band. This new lineup is poised to make them a legit rival to the biggest names in female J-metal (and beyond). Elite-tier musicianship at every position, excellent songwriting, plenty of live charisma and stage presence...the works. As a working guitarist, it's not surprising I noticed Sakura first, both through earlier iterations of this band and through her fantastic cover videos. In a niche filled with mind-blowing guitarists, she's one of the very best. Her solos aren't just technically brilliant, she also has great phrasing, a sense of "swing," and biting tone. She's also a daring rhythm player, willing to risk more-complex parts while not walking on the vocals. Sayaka can fly a bit under the radar (as often happens with bassists unless they're overplaying!), but she's the kind of bassist every band would kill to have: flawless on timing, powerful tone, technical when she needs to be but knows when to keep it simple. Given Sakura's complex rhythm playing and Junna being Junna, Hagane songs would fall apart fast with a bassist of lesser skill and taste. I'd also followed Junna for years, including her time with Girls Rock Band Kakumei (which became TRiDENT, but that was after she left). Not to put too fine a point on it, Junna often overplayed with GRBK, but her massively energetic, technical style is _perfect_ in this band. Few drummers can drive a song like that (o hai there, Tamu Murata...), and Junna does it while delivering a fantastic drum tone. Which leaves Nagi, the member I had no knowledge of prior to her joining Hagane (no one did). When I heard this was her first real band, I set my expectations pretty low...only to have them blown completely out of the water. No rookie has any business being this good: power, range, tonal purity, emotional interpretation, flawless timing...the whole package. And while I haven't seen them live (yet...I live in Japan, so it won't be long!), the videos show a frontwoman with great stage presence and charisma. What a find! Sky's the limit for this band...

They spoke to oli and the gang and added some similarities on purpose to give them credit aswell. And ti be fair this sounds just like it cane straight off NexGen. Its not exactly the same. Just a few similarities. But both sound 🔥🔥

SAKURA on Guitar SAYAKA on bass JUNNA on drums ( famous drummer on TH-cam and more) NAGI on vocal ( 1St experience) after the annonce, i was worried but everything was left after i heared their new first song TENKA GOKEN. I❤NAGI's voice. If you want a incredible song with battling guitar from HAGANE, you need to watch BLACKCULT ( a kind of pirate song). You will see the HAGANE 2.0 lineup (2019- mid spring 2023) UYU on vocal KANAKO on drums MAYTO on rhythm guitare ( All 3 left the band) . SAYAKA on bass SAKURA on lead Guitar ( she's the founder and the brain behind all the songs of HAGANE) MAYTO & UYU are founder of MANA DIAGRAM. KANAKO is a session & support drummer. The song BLACKCULT is my favourite fron the second lineup.

Nice reaction! They have amazing talent! The band is tight-knit and promises to be ambitious this year. They have already released several recordings with this new lineup, and a full album is scheduled to come out this year. Their fans are called "kennsi" (swordsmen) and will be forming a fan club in February! The biggest attraction is their uplifting lyrics and music! It's exciting to see the younger generation create traditional metal with their own style!!

all top tier musicians - love this band. pay particular attention to drummer junna. she may at this time be the most amazing drummer out there. an insane force to be reckoned with. gotta love the 'indiana jones' like theme of the mv.

a little info about HAGANE which started in 2018 with 5 members and actually this time is their new formation after losing 4 members, the first Vocalist in (2019) and 3 more Vocalists, Guitarists & Drummers simultaneously in 2023 after their live concert and then replaced by 2 new members Vocalists & Drummers in 2024, and a few interesting facts also from some of its members starting from - SAKURA (Guitarist & Founder HAGANE) one of the very active guitarists and also joined 2 main bands (HAGANE & EGOEGG) as well as a filling guitarist in 2 bands (JDK Band and 1MYB Kancolle), and has been famous for quite a long time with several of his covers and has also been noticed by DragonForce on their account just like JUNNA who was also noticed by DragonForce a few years ago with his Cover "Through the Fire and Flames ... - SAYAKA (Bassist) one of the loyal members of HAGANE who accompanies SAKURA from the beginning until now found new members, and also active in 2 main bands (HAGANE & INorganic Energy). - NAGI (Vocalist) one of the members who is still fresh because he is not active on social media and is not in any band and then took part in the Vocalist audition held by SAKURA and was finally selected as Vocalist and with a little background he is actually a lover of old Japanese music if you look at his TH-cam channel which was also only active after joining HAGANE. - JUNNA (Drummer) he was also the Founder of the Girl Rock Band Kakumei (GRBK) which later changed its name to TRIDENT until now after graduating in 2020, JUNNA is also the same as SAKURA is very active in various events and as a guest of many bands too and has covered many famous songs such as DragonForce and others.

Right now HAGANE (pronunciation: "hah-gah-nay" or something like this...) is my absolute favorite Japanese band. Yes, they are all female (and pretty too...) BUT their style is so into my personal taste of metal music that I don't care about what gender they are. Some short information about them: Sakura Yoshida is a guitar prodigy (startet guitar playing at the age of 7), she founded HAGANE 2018 as a five member group (two guitars); the band almost "died" when in 2023 three members left (guitar, singer and drums). Sakura and Sayaka, the bass player, stuck together, found the amazing energetic drummer Junna and the newbie Nagi as an absolute marvelous singer and made a restart in spring 2024. So the journey they are singing about is really their exciting start in a new - and hopefully international ! - career. I listen to all reactions to them, and whenever a reactor is really excited about them I'll give him a thumb's up and eventual a short comment. So, if you like to hear more of them, check out their TH-cam channel. There you can find their old songs as well of course the new ones. I recommend especially the new songs: "tengagoken", "life goes on", "hero time" - and of course "start our journey" --- oh, you just listened to it😅.

Considering loner youth titled that music video "if bring me The horizon wrote wonderwall" on youtube, yea, there's bound to be some similarities. But the two tracks are definitely different. Bmth's cover sounds like it could be off their new album with more pop punk energy, while the other cover sounds like sepiternal/there is a hell era bmth with a bit more underoath energy. Both are great though. Also loner said in the comments on his video that he talked to oli about it and they're both cool.

Since you love Dragon Force, the drummer, Junna, became a TH-cam sensation by doing the cover of Through the Fire and Flames. It is awesome. You should definitely check it out. Even the Gee, Dragon Force's drummer, loved her cover.
