I moved to Vanier alnost 3 years ago due to it being one of the more affordable areas of the city to buy a home. I think it definitely has a bad wrap and deserves more credit. Its pretty walkable and being located beside rockcliffe there are some beautiful walking and biking areas near by. Amenities of rockcliffe without the price tag. Yes there is crime here but what area of the city doesnt have crime?

I live in Ottawa, and Vanier is by far the worst area. It's even worse than downtown where all of the heroin addicts are. I would rather live in a homeless shelter in Barrhaven or Kanata or Centerpointe than in a mansion in Vanier.

Vanier has the dirtiest and the nastiest strip club def a con....
Bus service in vanier is not that good ether def a con.....
