I dunno about you guys but recently on my recommendations there are videos with maybe less than 100 views and they are actually interesting most of the time. Don't know the metric they use but they might be processing the title of the video and doing some recommendation based on that

It's true, we do not want to feel like spending 3 hours on TH-cam and realising it's just a waste of time. But unfortunately it's still the same, optimized for watch time rather than the user experience. It seems to be working great for TH-cam and hence I'm not sure if it'll change.
