The shackle code is provided to the owner of the supra key lockbox, so for me, it's my brokerage. Our office assistant has the shackle code, she gives it to us whenever we take out a lockbox for our listing.
I hope you meant to leave a key at front door on the inside and not on the outside, and make sure to lock it because many times I had other agents trying to get in while I am showing ... but I think it will be strange for buyers / tenants to see the agent locking the door and I dont recommend that plus if left outside the key could be stolen. Plus if you have to walk to the lockbox, you do have to put it in your pocket etc anyways and all you need is to REMEMBER going back to that lockbox to return it.... Actually having a key in my pocket, saved me many time, considering you may walk out and lock yourself out....
I have such a hard time with the actual mechanics of that tray releasing. My success rate is maybe 65% and I cannot tell you how many times I’ve abandoned a home tour because I couldn’t get the Supra to release the carriage. They need to update the design!
If it's my listing and the lockbox is above a decking, I always place a doormat underneath the lockbox... also, I use a zip tie for the key/s and leave a bigger loop, so it won't go through the deck.
Thank you - finally someone thinking about new agents . The experienced agents seem to forget how overwhelming the start is
I’m so glad it helped!!
It's always a good idea to have a backup manual lockbox as well in case the bluetooth one malfunctions. Had this happen a few times.
Thanks so much, great video. Just started previewing houses with my license and this came in handy
Great Video, did a great job on explaining the key
THANK YOU APRIL!!! THIS WAS SUPER HELPFUL!!!
How do you obtain the shackle code?

Completely confusing comment.
I was thinking the same thing thanks for sharing your your experience
Does this work on a vacant home with no wifi connection? especially if you are miles away?
Yes ma’am! They work on Bluetooth. Just be sure to update it before you go.
I can never get mine to connect Bluetooth
how do you charge one??
bring it to your realtor association and they can change the battery
Thank you for your teachings.
How to open shackle to show

The first thing you have to do is to BUY your lockboxes (unless your broker provides them)!
Here in 2024 ...thank you :)
Not the key falling between the cracks of the deck 😭😭😭
