Just a tip. Mount them to the bottom edge of the car mirror shroud as it is more solid than the top edge because it's fixed to the door on the bottom edge. The Milenco arm then sweeps up and puts it in the same plane as the factory mirror. It also eliminates the brackets and bar from your line of sight so reduces the blind spot that is caused by having them on the top. Great mirrors for the price.

Yeah Roger that, I'll have a look at it, appreciate the tip 👍 proves you don't have to spend a fortune 👌

My mirrors are Camec. I also mount them at the bottom edge. I am currently towing a small Avan behind a Falcon. The van is only a little wider than the car. I use small round convex stick on mirrors for the blindspots. These are permanent and do a great job. Then the caravan mirrors give a different view. I adjust these to further down the road plus a bit of blindspot. I also adjust both car mirrors to an angle different to normal driving. The caravan mirrors do wobble a bit and they also drop out of adjustment. Maybe I'll try Milenco some time.

I still use them a couple of years on and still doing the job mate 🍻

    Probably just me.
But I use the mirrors vertically rather than horizontally.
I find a much better perspective.
    But it is subjective.
Thanks for all the videos enjoy them immensely.
    Cheers Macca

I guess that what makes these mirrors good hey. They can be used with variations to suit different preferences, appreciate the feedback Macca, will definitely keep the vids coming 🍻

Agreed, I use them in the vertical position, but that’s with a three metre tall Caravan, so I can see the top and bottom of the ‘van in the one view. Helpful for around towns, dodging trees and kerbs alike! May try out the horizontal to get a wider angle out the back. So much adjustability!

Thank you. The mirrors I bought slip and slide and are difficult. I will be following your advice. Much appreciated.

No problem. They have been around the country and still going strong. Thanks for the feedback 👍

Thanks for the review, it really helps a lot. Just planning to buy something for my LC100 and is really hard to find any decent reviews. Will go with milenco for sure. :)

@@gettingaroundaus only had mine for 3 weeks or so, so not had a chance to try it off road or anything, especially that off roading is illegal in Scotland (we live in Scotland) unless it's an organized off roading with land owners permission. But heard many times they are bulletproof

Good info. I was looking at the small ones because I figured there would be less chance of them blowing in but this may change my mind.
My new car is still on the slow boat to Australia but it should be here in around 6 weeks.
I can’t wait to get out on the road.
Please post any new info about them as you travel around.
    Good review. 👍🏻

Yeah thanks Neil 🍻 I can tell you after many 1000s of km they are still doing the same job. Been on some seriously corrugated roads in the Pilbara and no problems. Really appreciate the comments and feedback mate 👍 I'll also add a mate has the teardrop ones and says the same thing.

I've never had ours blow in. 2 1/2 years. I originally bought the convex glass ones but ended up buying the flat glass replacements . The vision while reversing in tight spots, (read shed) the flat glass is definitely better.

I have the same mirrors, Great value for money! Would love the big permanent ones but can’t warrant the $1k price tag.
Did you have much trouble with them blowing in?

    • @gettingaroundaus
      @gettingaroundaus  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Yeah same, can't justify the big dollars 💵, Na we didn't have anything like that... Would be a bit worrying though?

If you can clip them on the bottom so you can see over them to see this amazing country we live in

I think you installed them left to right vice versa from what I can see. I have melingo falcon. I may be wrong mate

Just checked and I reckon you're right. Switched them over and they now sit a bit lower/next to the car mirror 😂
