    That's better than the other way I've seen. I understood the method, but always thought it didn't look quite right. Your technique looks way better, Tom. Thank you for teaching it to us.

    That looks great. I totally agree on the orientation of the bowls, the bottom should always be flat because that's what happens in real life. Great job, well done.

    This seems like a much simpler method than what I have seen before. I like the touch of the colour on the inside as well. Nicely done.

    Very nice. Would using a belt sander work on the 'inner bowl' to make it seem tilted? Thanks for another nice and instructive video.

      Thank you Joris, I think you could do it with belt sander, it will take time but it can be done

    Hey Tomislav,
    Great Idea and video! I Will definitely buy some milkpaint and try it out myself.
    I have a couple of questions. How long did it take you to grind that crown bowlgouge used in this video to this length? Must be a few years! Did you change your dust setup at the lathe? I have feeling that it’s working a bit better than with the Raffan style for this particular dust extractor. And my last question is: When turning the inside of the bowl, whats the trick(s) to get an even curve without steps in it? I have some problems with that, even though I grind my heel back quite well to hinder the tool to leverage itself out of the curve causing those steps or you can also call it a wavy surface.

      Thank you for watching and comment 😀. Go for it as its really quick and fun project.
      That bowl gouge I bought I believe 2years ago... I tent to use it all the way, freehand sharpening allowes it to use all the way.
      Regards dust extractor setup, I order new extractor and will do a complete new video on this topic real soon... So stay tuned for that one....
      I'll write your "problem" down and make a video really soon so hopefully it will help out others as well.... I didn't help you much now but soon I'll help out with video.... Thank you for watching

      Thank you really much for the response! I am looking forward to seeing those videos! Im also awaiting your new lathe - even though its really expensive, I wanna guess that you bought a VL240. I think its a bit smaller than standard full size and should be just as good and reliable as the Vicmarc chucks. Have a great day Tomislav :D

      @@thefaulenzer677 oooo no , haven't got to vicmark yet but this one is really quallity one as well but its smaller unit... I hope to make tommorow video of unboxing so you can see it ☺️

    Hi: great project - I am going to give that a try. Might be a dumb question, I’ve not used milk paint before. Do you apply the oil over the paint, or you just have to be very careful applying the oil along the edges of the paint? And what oil? Just found your channel a couple of days ago - I like your creativity! Cheers!

    • @tomislavtomasicwoodturning
      @tomislavtomasicwoodturning  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you very much 🤗 there is no dumb questions if you don't know the answer..... I apply linseed oil or tung oil all over the paint once its dry .... That way oil and paint gets to be really durable....

    This bowl is especially appropriate for nuts.
    Why bring two bowls? One to serve the nuts and one to hold the shells.
