@@tealamoon7708 I just saw him for the first time after being obsessed with his music for over a decade! It was magical! I f'd up tho lol.. They ended up not letting him finish his set because the time was running out and everyone was leaving all upset and I stayed behind talking to a random couple along the barrier infront, and someone ran up and tapped me on shoulder a few times. I assumed it was security telling us we had to go so I turned over and just said what? and it was Ben Howard lmao face to face. He just asked if I had a vinyl or anything to sign and i was so f'ing shocked I just said no LMAO then as he walked away I said ur my favourite artist Ben and he gave me a look like "yeah sure buddy"
I've seen Ben live he's is astounding... I still watched with Goosebumps and watching your reaction thinking you aint seen nothing yet! This man carved my life story, saved my life and keeps me grounded.
Beside this is One of my fav songs,i love how you reflect the emotion that he puts on this performance. Thank you for this amazing reaction.good lord man🤍
This is one of my most favourite songs, it is so powerful. I can listen to it every day and it just never feels old. So heartfelt, so emotional, all the instruments just working together. ❤
He rarely comes to the USA. A few years ago my daughter and I got to see him in Nashville at the Ryman. It was amazing! I think you would like “I forget where we were”. Oh and “The Wolves” & “Keep Your Head Up”.
I almost never consider going to see live shows, but as soon as I saw that he had US dates in 2023 it was an immediate bucket list moment. I was pretty heartbroken when he canceled the US leg of the tour.
Fil, yes, the double bass fills and cements the track. This performance does leave me breathless in the pauses, you wait and are rewarded every time. Lovely. Thank you. Later with Jools iHolland s a BBC live recording and you can get free tickets to see the show. You don't know who is gonna perform however you can guarantee there will be something special to see. Jools is a musician/arranger/producer and has his finger on the button of good musicianship. #QcumberSquad #BenHoward - Fil, I'm off back to the study.
I love the song Rookery by him, the live performance of it when he still hadn't released the song officially and was ironing out the kinks is breathtaking. He is what it's like when a poet becomes a singer. a perfect match.
Yes! I’ve been trying to get this explanation across to people as to why this performance is so layered and has endless depth! Great reaction man! I love when people GET IT
Fell in love with Ben's music when I was introduced to it by a girlfriend at the time who I never fully got over. Even though I've had many relationships since. I could never make them work. This song speaks to me down to the core of my being.
Using his guitar pickup and the open guitar body’s acoustics for that vocal section: masterful. This performance was mesmerizing and hit my gut and heart like nothing else. I still look for THIS version online, but unavailable here. Great choice!
I believe this song is based on Graeme Greene’s novel “End of the Affair,” though I could be wrong. Either way, one of Ben’s greatest songs. Just saw it live in Glasgow and then London and holy shit is it immense live
Ben Howard’s music has entranced me for over a decade, and continues to do so. Saying that, the one time I went to see him live was a HUGE disappointment, wasn’t worth the hotel and flights on top of tickets. Maybe a bad night? Or maybe he is better in studio vs live. Idk. Lyrically, the man is a genius!
One of the most underrated artists of the last decade. A sensational songwriter and musician.
New tour.
HE is…
…Playing I’m going to dying for a ticket to OZ!
I hate spiders. 😂

Ben is the GOAT! I have been listening to him daily for years and I could never get tired of him or his music. He's definitely something special.
Me to ! I have been listening to him for over 10 years, and finally got the chance to see him live in concert this year in Bordeaux!
@@koca6 you're lucky!! I am hoping he'll make it to the states next year. I find myself comparing every other artist to him. He's just the best!
@@jennifereades6076 Yes indeed, I saw that he'd cancelled the US tour. I hope you get the chance to see him at least once!
Well I don’t agree, all his new stuff on last two albums, have no movement- very much the same and cloudy
🐐
Wish more people would react to this beautiful song.
Watch his KCRW solo “Depth over distance”. It will have you in tears. Absolute perfection.
This song tears me apart. Also heard it during my most painful breakup. I just remembered it today. I had to stop hearing it for a while.
Criminally underrated, such an amazing artist

Me too he’s so amazing! Going to see him this summer and making my husband go.
Ben Howard is genius…this live performance is amazing ❤❤❤❤❤
Britain's greatest current musician 👌
One of the best love songs ever written and sung. Loved your reaction :)
Ben Howard is amazing he is unreal

The next best thing to the actual performance is watching people react to it in the same way that you do

I went and saw him alone at red rocks, and it was probably one of the best and most emotional nights of my life.

This is amazing. Conrad is my absolute favorite BH song. Has been such a healing ointment through some dark times.

I don’t know how many times I’ve watched this reaction. The song, the reaction. I just love coming back here!
Raw emotion! Sad but so beautiful 😌Great reaction to a wonderful performance ❤
Go find his live performance of “Promise” in Germany. Breathtaking!
Incredible! Glad to see it’s getting some love! ❤️
Phenomenal performance absolutely incredible as always Franks requests are ..Fil you are truly wonderful thanku so much love an God bless x
Unbelievable performance, only heard this few months back which is sadly. It gives me goosebumps every time
Absolutely love this. His song “Bones” was my top song on Spotify last year. Great request thank you. ❤
He’s singing into the guitar mic in that august rush section to give it an empty cavernous feeling

the same
Great review! Favorite part is when he sings into the guitar. You can just the emptiness he feels through the sound.

It resembles who he is actually angry with: Love
Wow never thought of it that way
This song is an interpretation of Graham Greene’s novel.
