Even though I love Selena Gomez and all of her albums this one still stands out! I love every song on this album. Who knows maybe one day she'll get back together with the scene and just be The Scene. She always likes trying out different styles! Whatever kind of music she puts out I just love.
Its like mold for your ear, but for a singer to hear themselves on stage they have to wear a certain type of ear plug. (it's often custom made, cause buying regular plugs won't be so helpful) It also helps them to hear themselves sing and hit correct notes. Believe me I have to wear them on stage when I sing @ School of Rock Concerts and when I play drums ;)
respect on doing your own thing music wise and not letting your label do what they want. you're like the only massive hollywood celebrity who i like. good stuff.

the stuff they're putting in her ears is to make a mold of her inner ear for her in-ear monitors. basically like hearing aids with speakers (some even have sub-woofers for bass now) that play the full audio mix of what's being played.
the thing on her ear is used a lot in concerts and rehearsals, that is because she needs to hear what is she singing and also she know if she isn't in the right tone or something like that, it's easy to try, just sing or talk with your hands on your ears, it helps when it is too much noise around you, so you can hear yourself perfectly!!! try it!!!

@tdsmeg4 yeah. and not just herself sing, to hear the same mix of all the vocals/ instruments that the audience is hearing, so she knows how loud to sing and can stay in time and everything. so if the band speeds up or slows down a little she hears it and can stay in time. lots of uses.

I just finished reading the news article that says that Selena Gomez and the Scene are going separate ways for awhile because Selena wants to focus on her acting career. Now im watching all her episodes from when she started her first record and singing career. im kinda sad that they r splitting up but they have had 3 successful years in the music business. Although i will miss the band i do have to say i am SUPER excited to see what selena has in store for us in her acting career.( :
