Best looking Element to date! It’s a must have! Perfect timing, just bought a Tacoma double cab. Now I can make a mini version of it!
A 1:1 and mini replica… It’s a must! 😂
Same here! Love mine
That's so cool man, I also just got a new toyaota tacoma & I'm going to replicate mine cheers man 😁😁😁👍🏼👍🏼👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑
@@estevanurrutia2007 so many crowns lmao 😂🤦🏽♂️
Ive been looking for a 1:18 scale die cast of a Tacoma and nothing around and now I see this and yeah I'll be buying this and adding to my collection. If the hood had the scoop it it would be what my truck will look like when I raise it
Amazing! I must have it! I just bought a brand new 2023 Tacoma in magnetic grey. It looks just like it!
Just looks so good in the natural element
Was just about to head out the door to pick up the Element Trail Builders 2 kit from my local hobby store. Saved me some money, this is a must buy. Great job Element and Knights Custom!
I absolutely love ur running vids and explaining in great detail of all the rigs you have. Hands down my favourite channel.
Finally! I've had my 06' Tacoma quad cab since 2006 and have wanted a body just like this for a long ass time
That looks exactly like my real truck, I even have the same Demello Offroad bumpers and sliders.
I've had the Trailrunner now for over a year. The IFS in front, clears a lot more than you would think. The stability is awesome. I pretty much left it stock. Just the addition of 2.2" tires and some front wheel weight. Very capable. If you dont have one yet, I would grab one. It is the most fun to drive out of my collection.
Oh yeah, just had inner fender 3-D printed. Installing soon.
What else is in your collection?
@@jeffholladay I am building an Ecto kit with some nice extras, Capra 1.9, UTB18, Redcat Axe, and I like the 24 scale so a few of those.😎😎I put 1.9" back on the Trailrunner, those 2.2" were a bit much.
I'm 7 months in.
Received mine yesterday and I am loving it. Can't wait to do all the upgrades!
I hope we get to see longer wheel base trucks in the trail truck category to differentiate the 1/10 scale hobby from rock crawlers. I much prefer the scale look of a trail truck for sure.
Completely agree!
Great review! I'm not a Toyota guy, but this is definitely Element's best release yet. Now if they'd just ditch the body posts.....
Based on your review and others, I got a KnightRunner last week. It's a great vehicle, but I'm not a fan of brushed systems. This morning I installed a Hobbywing Fusion 1800kv brushless system in my KnightRunner. It was an easy install: there is just enough room to get the old motor out and the new motor in without having to remove either the transmission assembly or the battery tray. And it was easy to set the gear mesh. The addition of the Fusion 1800kv system makes an already great vehicle even greater.
How so ? Pluses and minuses?
Solid review as always Greg, I think Element really knocked this one out of the park.
Absolutely ace it's on my to buy list for Christmas already my friend. Thanks.
i just need that body, wow i did not expect them to release another IFS rig
Hey Froggy I know you know of my buddy’s channel Bars and ToneRC. I was wondering if you had gotten one of these knight runners and how do you like you if have gotten one. I’m the one in videos who he likes to Target . With that said thank you for taking time to reply.
Can’t stop watching videos on this and the trail runner… might just buy em both 🤷♂️
wholly crawlers batman, i didn't notice the Element RC part in the title! wow!
Looks right at home in your collection, Greg! 😃👍🏼
The box. Very nice inclusion!
So cool I literally just got a new Toyota Tacoma & im going to replicate mine stay blessed everyone, awesome review your channel is great cheers man 😁😁🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑
Sooo glad it's not another Cheap Jeep body, Greg! 😉👍👌
How fast are these? Just good for crawling or something else?
Wow a proper looker from Element! The trailrunner was always good but the looks used to put me off but they have nailed it with this body.
that intro got my thumbs up! 👍
What a great looking rig! Got to pick one of these up when it is released.
Some general weathering etc really adds to the realism aspect
Wow your transition from the mini garage to your RC shop threw me off that was cool. What a detailed review Bro you bring out all the pros on that truck. It’s sexy.
Thanks! Trying to get more creative. Just need more time in the day. LOL 👍
Very detailed review Greg, nicely done. Check those orientations on your prints!
Yessir! That was a quickie demo print to show what can be done. Literally opened the file, hit print and walked off for a cup of coffee. 😁
It looks so good! My only concern is the independent front suspension. The center bulkhead is lower than on a solid axle truck, but so are the front A-arms on this rig. Hm.
Do you think this element might runner is a good entry point for a first timer want something that I can add too and not having to keep upgrading for a while anyway !! Would like to know any wise comments
I really want a TRX-4 but I always keep thinking Traxxas needs to add some body options from the Japanese manufacturers. Element R/C is going pull my attention to their models with these body options even if they are not licensed.
I think this one is going to grab a lot of attention!
A TRX-4 Sport is durable and on the cheaper side. I got mine for $330.
Had an Axial SCX10 II Deadbolt. Thing broke within 24 hours and I wasn’t even crawling hard. An Element Trailrunner was my go to but the Deadbolt was cheaper so I traded that and bought the TRX-4
@@reidisaacson9623 Thank you for the input! I can only have one crawler and with so many in the market. Well, it is tough to pick.
@@ozgt99 I'm sure either one you pick, you'll like it. The TRX4 comes with a decent amount of ground clearance stock with those portals. The Element Trailrunner stock comes with tiny tires and like no ground clearance if you were to actually rock crawl with it
I put a 2001 4runner body on my trx4 kit
Looks fantastic. Missing some magnetic posts hey?
Just bought mine! Crazy bc the grill and rock sliders from the rc almost identically match the ones on my 17 Taco with the same metallic grey paint too. Pretty much sold me on that 🤣
I really like it. If I didn’t already have two Elements I might pick this one up.
Easy way to reduce the body noise, just add one or two O rings onto the each body post. The spare O rings leftover from shocks for example.
@@jjm2948 good idea
Looks great, but I'm thinking of doing the ecto. Wish they do the ecto as a builders kit without electronics.
I agree with you there. The Ecto kinda screams to be modded (in a good way).
Detailed review and fun drive, awesome! Cool that truck(colour) and overcast day of your drive and natural area, combine here so well.
And I enjoyed the close to the action/driving footage, looks very good. Third review watched: SBG, HemiStorm RC and you. Thank you!
Thanks! I like getting the camera as close to the rig as possible so viewers can see the suspension working and how the chassis reacts to the terrain.
I think the front body posts, although on the large side, mimic windshield washer nozzles. 😅
15:44 the good old independent front suspension front suspension
where can i purchase one of those RC?
Looks great ! Big improvement on the trailrunner
The Trailrunner looked cool when it came out, but now with the Knightrunner next to it… well… it’s… ok. 😆
Yeah I'm watching this video waiting to watch it roll and see how the body holds up
nice, this looks good, but i gotta give my love to the trail honcho i just bought
Great video bro 👍
I’m getting it this weekend to match my Tacoma 4 door
super great rtr, i love the front axle konsep, so flexible
This looks great! I like the IFS on this one and will be adding to the collection.
Greg Man, nice work Sir!
It looks so good I just bought my first 1/10 rc crawler it is the element rc senduro hd bought it like a 5 days ago
Nice! That’s a great rig too. Enjoy!
That's awesome and on my list now
I have myself set on wanting a Gen8 Axe... and now this!?? The only body I would want more than a scout!
You’re in a tough spot! 😁
Great looking truck. Gotta get one to match my 3rd gen pro. Nice review
Like this truck, but the axle slap tells me that I should look for something else as no amount of grease can remedy that. Thanks for pointing that out.
I am on the preorder list already this is a nice looking rig !
Great looking truck, but Element needs inner fenders and no body clips on their RTR kits. If you don't own a 3D printer, the Knight Customs accessories will be cost prohibitive.
O I may need one of these! Nice overview brotha!
Thanks! It was a fun rig to go over!
Excellent review
Nice truck!! . Big like
Great review brother 💪🏼
I may have to rethink my Christmas wish list. I think I like this more than either of the new bronco releases from Traxxas and Axial. Lots of potential for customizing!
It is a good platform for customizing. I was just talking to someone about the same topic minutes before reading your comment.
What's the difference (besides the body) between the trailrunner and this knight runner.. I looked it up and it's between 2 and 300 more for this beauty
There are two scale (size) versions of the Trailrunner 1/10 and 1/24 (smaller.) The 1/10 are the same price and nearly identical. Usually $100 more for a battery and charger to be included.
Yup just had to pre order one already cant wait till it comes in, btw thanks for the review
Thanks for watching! Enjoy!!
I wish Element would produce a forward mounted motor.
Hopefully they’re reading these comments 😀👍
Me too, that's what I'm waiting for. If that happens I'm buying asap!
does look nice, they are upping the game
such a good looking truck!!
This thing is amazing definitely adding this to my collection!! Element is killing it. Wonder how the ifs is for crawling? Or is it more for like trailing? Never had ifs. Doesn’t look like the ifs has a lot of ground clearance. Any amazing rig, definitely getting one!! Great break down & vid on this rig!!! You always do an amazing job breaking down & showing rc’s!!!!🤩🤩👍🏼
I'd say more trail bias. I'd never crawl an IFS rig seriously.
It’s certainly more for the realism and style, but you’d be surprised at how well it does! Also, some larger tires would improve ground clearance, as those Generals are quite small
As it sits, it’s a great trail rig and just a real blast to drive. It can do pretty well crawling with a few tweaks and really watching your lines. I’d keep this beauty on the trails and concentrate on scaling it out. 😎
That Taco life💯 Need one for my collection Next color should be Quicksand 💪🏽
Just as I'm thinking of getting the Ecto ....you come along and put this in my face. What am I supposed to do now ??
I don’t have an Ecto, but I’m super happy with the Knightrunner! 😉
You never mentioned about the clear lens under the light decals.
The lights are stickers you peel off to get to the clear, get the knight custom module, and add led lights to it. Very realistic projection look.
SOOO good looking!
Wish this was out before I purchased the TRX4.
I do love my Elements, and this one looks even sikker!
At the right angle, this thing looks like a real truck. It’s awesome.
You didn’t address behind the headlights being clear?
I'm so tempted to get my first Element RC - this truck looks too good!!
This would be the one. I really enjoyed driving this rig and it’s one you can really grow into.
Send it!!!
I have a 2016 TRD now I need this
Build series 👌 🙌 👏
Already in the works. 🤫
Nice video thanks!
I’m torn between the ecto/gatekeeper or this…
I had both, I prefer the Taco for realistic crawling. The Knightrunner is so good at crawling that is fits that roll. I'm going to upgrade mine as it breaks. I may also build a pre-runner street version of it. The SC10 (or the smaller one) might be the better first/only RC though IMO.
im thinkin on getting one, any upgrades you'd advise?
Will the Proline 1.9s Hyrax Predator tires fit on this? I have 6 acres, A gravel driveway, A dried up creek, A big field, A couple side trails not really, and a little Cracked Concrete block course I made for my Axial Capra!? Thanks Devin.
Did your tent line up with the holes on the rack? Mine does not seem to?
Be interesting to see how durable the IRS is over time.
Awesome review Bro' 👊🙂👍
would you rather wheel the enduro knightrunner or an scx10 iii?
THANK GOD ITS NOT ANOTHER JEEP!!!
Looking gooood!
Good looking rig 👍
the big three - Axial, Traxxas, Element RC are coming with quite nice rigs recently, i literally don´t know what to buy first ;) this IFS seems to be very interresting feature, does it work good with regular 4.7 wheels ? thx
Yes, it will work fine (actually quite a bit better) with 1.9 wheels/larger tires, other than body trimming, depending on what body you chose
Wow that looks 1-1 man, great looking truck
Noob question but can you add monster truck tires?
They’d hang up on the bumpers and chassis. You might be able to stuff some XL tires in there.
yep my trailwalker had plenty of axle slap from new..very anoying..would like one for sure but..an easy fix
Yup, easy.
You guys know this is a problem with these IRL right? LOL
Does it Include a solid axle, is that what I see in the extra parts?
What 3d printer are you running
I see your at Bethels track a lot . Is there a better day then others to bring an RC ? Thanks in advance.
I don’t go much in the summer because riders are always there. It’s hit or miss in the other months. No real good time. 😕
@@rcdriver thanks. Im about 10 from trumbull track if
You ever want a change and i know the track director well
Just told scale builders guild im swapping my preorder from axial bronco to this but your review was a bit more thorough so I swapped back lol
LOL, that’s a tough decision. What was the deciding factor?
@@rcdriver build quality, element hasn’t been consistent so im hoping to hold out for maybe a competitor now the element has shown this off
Great video, great review. One question though: this Knightrunner or a Traxxas TRX-4 sport? I was so close to picking up a Trailrunner but this Knightrunner looks even better although the price here in the UK is only £40 less than the TRX-4 sport and that's a tricky decision for me. Thanks again.
I have both. The trx4 is a bit better but they are both great rigs
@@Blacksheep3029 I got the Knightrunner and have to say I'm disappointed with it as a crawler but I think that's my own fault for not understanding what a trail truck is meant for. I think I would have been better off with the TRX-4 sport or even an FTX Outback Hi-Rock or GEO but I'll probably get those for the collection at some point.
What is a better crawler a trx4 or this element, in the future I’m going to for sure buy one of em
IMO TRX4 is the best overall performer with two speeds, TQi, and is the standard. Those front portal gears are great. The Bronco build has great approach angles and a lower LCG. If you have watched enough comparison videos, the Traxxas are almost too good to be fun. Parts are a bit easier to get, but buying them locally can cost a lot more than online in my experience, anyway. This is a more challenging and more realistic RC experience. I just wish this came in white. ;)
Just got into the hobby and purchased this truck. Is there an
on/off button for the battery? Can I add a switch or do I have to disconnect each time? Thanks
Disconnecting the battery is the best way. This prevents possible LiPo battery damage if you accidentally left it plugged in. With on/off switches, the battery can still drain even with the switch off.
Cool thanks for the response
What's the MSRP?
What size shims would you recommend for the rear axle issue?
IFS? Is this going to be available in front solid axle version?
Don’t believe so, You’d need an axle kit and links.
