I'm happy that it seems helpful for people. I was aiming to find a good balance between explaining the concepts well while not making the video overly lengthy.
Very cool. It shows me that I was impatient when running my ender 3 pro that I upgraded to klipper. Plus I hadn't fully seated the bowden tube in the hot end so I had a gap which caused a clog and inconsistent results. Thanks for showing us this.
3d printers are fairly complex machines, and even a small issue can cause issues with prints that are sometimes hard to diagnose. Most printing issues turn out to be something simple, but it can take a lot of time and patience to troubleshoot and find the root cause. I'm glad you were able to figure out what was going on with your machine.
Regarding your strange retraction issue with strings on higher retractions are linked to wipe turned on. Longer retractions means longer wipes and longer wipes can be bringing extra plastic to outside (by friction). Just a theory....😊
Any tips for getting prints to stick to the Honey Badger Satin sheet? I have one and nothing sticks to it... I washed it with soap and keep it clean with isopropyl.
I've never had issues with prints not sticking to mine. In fact, I've found that prints stick better to these surfaces than any of the other PEI coated build surfaces that I own. I typically print with ABS, ASA, and TPU and all those materials stick perfectly. TPU sticks so well that I sometimes have trouble removing the prints when they're finished. For the other two materials, I do run the hated bed quite warm (typically 110 degrees) to ensure that the first layer sticks well.
@@gunplamark Thanks for the reply! It must be my first layer / z-offset then. I just wanted to ask someone's else opinion the sheet to make sure I wasn't crazy.
This is a great explanation of these tuning steps.

Great job. Very thorough, well explained and accurate. I highly recommend this video.
Thanks!
Dig the videos and the Gundam Wing shirt. Gundmyatham rocks!
His art is so good. I have one of his framed prints on my studio wall as well, but it's in a place where the cameras don't usually get to see.
@@gunplamark as do I. Quite a few lol glad to see the Voron is going strong. It’s inspiring me more and more to build one
Excellent video and clear instructions. Much appreciated. New subscriber 🙂

Good theory, and potentially possible to prove with some experimentation. If I can find the time, I'll run some tests.
