U play way to passive (defensive) which isn't actually in ur favor as ur playing character with worst punishments in game. Focus more on use 112 crouch dash into peekaboo mix ups when u punish anyone with it, mid check df1 alone is insanely good specially that it has 2 different follow ups mid high and a mid mid option using first one alone having mental stack of follow ups helps building ur pressure, when ur in peekaboo u got a homing high punch parry use it, and also use mid strings, in low ranks use alot the 3 or 4 buttons for evasion. If u establish offense with Steve it's not u who have to play by ur opponents rules, they who have to play by ur rules which is key strength of Steve unless u play yoshi we all know why 🌚 cuz when he flashes we all get distracted 😂 There are moves yo gatta abuse aside df1 I forgot to mention df2 sway that move is safe mid check that ch guarantees followups. Once u establish ur pressure ppl will start over respecting u that's when u can start ur mix ups from new stance with unblockables. Also pay attention to how ur opponent disrespecting ur pressure or using their minus frames, if they are using slow moves b1 or 112 or df1 or armor move for intruption if ur already in peekaboo stance u got normal hit launcher that is - 10 on block only, u can also start again ur pressure from peekaboo, if they start using moves like jabs or mid checks to start their turn that's when 3 or 4 depends on matchup will become killing buttons cuz of the evasion. If u can apply both concepts trust me optimal Steve players can make it feel u can't press a button
