Ive watched this so so many times. Nothing put out today in Hollywood can hold a candle (pardon the pun) to any of these outstanding early movies. Keep 'em coming. Thanks for a great post and thank you TH-cam
There is no remake that compares to Hitchcock's original Rebecca, no matter how skillfully done. Hitchcock's signature is all over the film, the mystery, the horror, all Hitchcock. And some Daphne du Maurier too!
No matter what precautions Hitchcock and the creative team took, Judith Anderson must have been in some real danger when this scene was filmed. Not to mention the terrible heat she must have endured.
Yes it is very tense film, I am shaking, I can hardly breathe. I saw this film as little child but I was too scared to see the end of the film. His first wife was very bad woman. 😌

I agree completely !! A lot of people just don't get the brilliance of Hitchcocks work.
Glad to see someone does 👍
I think practically everyone who has watched old movies recognizes Hitchcock's genius.
What a wonderful classical movie that I am still watching it now
lovely. would be grateful if you can upload more classic movies with English subtitles!

The benchmark on this is Jeremy Brett 1979. Far superior telling of the tale with excellent acting and a better script.
